  1. He's doing a hell of a job of not calling him out publicly.
  2. Still struggles? You're really something.
  3. It's wildly curious to me that Brown complains about late play calls, but doesn't know who's responsible for them?
  4. Can you name these "good teams?" Do any of them perchance have quarterbacks who can successfully throw the ball 40-50 times a game?
  5. You equated weekly captains as Rex defines them with team leaders as they define them. It's exactly that you said.
  6. Hadn't seen the article that published one minute after this thread began. But thank you for sharing. This is something that hadn't been fleshed out prior.
  7. Boobie insinuated that it helped in SF, did he not?
  8. No. But it has direct bearing on the wild assertions others are making. Your refusal to answer the question provides the answer. Thank you.
  9. Two critical questions: Has Rex's scheme worked elsewhere? Does Rex have a reputation for having players that love him?
  10. He will not acknowledge it. Don't bother. Is unwillingness to do so is very very telling.
  11. That's a selective interpretation. History shows us that Rex's teams have historically fallen short thanks to mind-boggling blunders on offense. He has consistently designed schemes that succeed. THAT'S the water. He's consistently had locker rooms that would lay down and die for him. THAT'S the water. For you to insinuate that Rex has not and cannot and there for DID not do that is willfully blind to everything we knew about the man four short months ago. Yeah, we're done here.
  12. These are facts. We don't intend to deal thusly.
  13. If you're going to flatly deny that reality, then there's no use discussing anything with you. I think the analogy eludes you--that's not as harsh as it sounds, but your post above doesn't really get to what I meant to convey. Perhaps that's my fault.
  14. Yes they were and no they weren't. Fans like you choose to not accept this reality. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
  15. The Jerry Hughes strip sack in Miami 2.
  16. I think you (and other fans like you) are sorely mistaken about what leadership is. What I see is a coach leading his players to the water. And you fans like you saying he failed them for not telling them/forcing them to drink it.
  17. Using sarcasm to mask the fact that a key defensive leader went down seven quarters into the season. Bold strategy.
  18. The babysitter excuse then.
  19. Your assumption being that the guys calling the coin toss are defacto "leaders." My assumption being that their can be leaders who lead the team. And their can be figureheads to run out at the beginning of regulation and/or overtime to say "tails."
  20. Or, you know, a players coach who lets his team sort out their own business doesn't feel the need to choose and/or facilitate the selection of their leaders for them.
  21. That Rex failed because he never called players-only meetings for his team? Makes sense.
  22. History dictates there will be no excuse needed next year. But you ignore that because it doesn't fit your warped need to have everyone hate Rex with the same aimless lust as you.
  23. bull ****. He called out his players on Sunday for not attacking. There is NO CHANCE Rex Ryan suddenly became a non-attacking coach. His guys on the field make the pressure calls.
  24. You can't be a "players coach" when your players don't have any leadership, never hold team meetings, any of that stuff. THAT'S why the wheels have fallen off. We have a coach that gives his players lots and lots of responsibility and leeway, and our guys just sat there and stared at it.
