  1. In the grand scheme of things this victory does little to prove whether this Bill's team is legit. However, not dropping to 0-2 in the AFC East was big. Beating Belicheck was a bonus, him slamming the tablet was hilarious. The real test comes end of November with Brady back at the helm and the Bills at home. Winning that game will go a long way towards proving to me this team is for real. The next 3 games are manageable. The Rams have a very good defense and it will be a close game. It we can stay at .500 or above till we get to the back stretch of our schedule we have a decent shot to break the non-playoff streak. However, this team is real good at giving false hope before letting you down. Rex needs to have this team prepared every week like they were for the Patriots.
  2. Players can't seem to handle the volume of plays. Is that coaching, talent who knows. However, I agree with the need to simplify things until the team demonstrates they can execute at a high level before incorporating new things. I hope Whaley takes a long look at the Patriots model for drafting new talent. They focus heavily on smarts and it seems to work for them. They can shake off injuries and plug people in and still perform at a high level. Whatever they are doing right is what we should be doing. If Rex doesn't turn it around and this team fails to make it to the playoffs he needs to be fired. I wouldn't be against poaching someone from New England's staff just to piss off Belicheck and maybe we get lucky.
  3. The start of the tire fire. Who should be held to blame for the poor defensive performance yesterday?
  4. Getting screwed by the Refs early great.
  5. https://twitter.com/fieldyates/status/765621371447734272 This tweet states that contract does not have void language, which if true is a blunder by the FO for a substance abuse related suspension.
  6. Dude was overweight last year and was terrible. At least with Fred he will be a leader in that locker room and can still play a part time role. I rather bring back Fred for the veteran minimum. He was one of the best blocking backs and 3rd down role would suit him well. I just don't see that happening as the team has moved on and don't want to deal with having to cut him again if he is done.
  7. Not sure how Marvin Lewis is ranked lower than Ryan. He has built a perennial playoff contender. Rex is higher by a few spots than I thought he would be.
  8. Where can I send some steaks to the entire New England Patriots team
  9. Northwestern state WR Ed Eagan https://twitter.com/_Andrew_Lopez/status/726559393181913088?s=17 Iowa State OL Jamison Lalk https://mobile.twitter.com/AlexHalsted/status/726559168891473922
  10. Not a fan would have preferred WR Peake or hybrid Safety/LB
  11. I want Vernon Butler in the 2nd hope he lasts would be dream scenario.
  12. If he can stay healthy and find some consistency at the QB position. I always thought Moulds could have been one of the all time greats if he had a better QB playing with him.
  13. His throwing motion is terrible. For me this is a guy you take a flyer on late late in the draft. For every Philip Rivers there is going to be a ton of busts. Issues with throwing mechanics and not a very strong arm gives me concern for a guy like this in Buffalo.
  14. I like this UK Death/Thrash Metal band Sylosis. Lead singer and guitarist is very talented.
  15. Major project is going to go undrafted but he could possibly turn into something down the line if he is willing to put in the work.
  16. Rex, Rob, and Weeks it is gonna be animal house 2016. Toga! Toga! Toga!
  17. What is the worst that can happen we don't make the playoffs. Maybe that will motivate players more to work harder so they don't get embarassed on TV. Although from a team perspective there is no upside. As a fan I would like to see the workings of the Bills and wouldn't mind if they were forced into it.
  18. I say move Woods to the slot dump Hogan. Get a big #2 receiver opposite Sammy. Look what having 2 big WRs did for Fitz this year and tell me it didn't have an impact.
  19. Rooney rule don't see them hiring him. However, it will be good for Lynn to get the experience so positive for him.
  20. At least his lasting memory won't be this. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl-news/4657011-jim-tomsula-fart-video-san-francisco-49ers
  21. I don't know how much power if any Thurman has over this defense. Firing him may appease some people but worries me. I can see Rob Ryan getting hired and when you think things couldn't get worse they just did. Thurman obviously doesn't care much for the media and can be surly. For me the preasure has to be on this front office and coaching staff in 2016. They need to start delivering results and quit talking about it.
  22. I don't think Pettine would want to get back under Rex's shadow unless there are no other opportunities available. I see him finding a d coordinator role with another team if fired.
  23. This was worth it just to screw with the Patriots. 2 thumbs up to Whaley.
  24. A major factor in all of this is that the players specifically on defense never bought into the scheme. This took place all the way back in training camp. Dareus complained about DL coach Dunbar not letting them loose and it seemed the scheme was too complicated for them to play fast and loose like they had been previously. What was most disturbing was Rex's inability to adjust his scheme to the talent on hand which everyone would agree is legit. 3-4 or 4-3 it shouldn't have mattered. Rex should have been able to scheme something to make things work. So from Rex on down it was a failure as the players were clearly confused and unable to comprehend. Combine that with all the checks and substitutions things just spiraled out of control. However, the biggest disappointed was the lack of discipline the players exhibited with the numerous penalties. There was a clear leadership void and Rex hasn't learned from the past that running a loose ship is not in the players best interest. However, I don't believe Rex thinks his coaching style is an issue and that will be his downfall eventually.
