  1. Would this board explode if Dennison ends up getting fired and the new OC wants to hold onto Taylor next year.
  2. Zay looks like a scrawny kid still. He needs a good offseason program to get him stronger to better handle the phsyicality of the NFL. Rookie WRs tend to struggle so I won’t put a lot of stock into his rookie season. The drops have been concerning and hopefully it hasn’t gotten in his head.
  3. I don’t care if Brady throws for 500 but between the 20s send extra pressure every chance you get. Dial up plays so that a free man gets a clear shot on Brady every time. Spy Gronkowski and every time he catches a pass I would go low at the knees and make a legal hit. Even if today is a loss make them feel every hit and don’t play like the soft team I am used to seeing over the years.
  4. Who the dog?? Can’t believe this thread went over a 100 pages. What is the record for most pages in a single post need to keep this going.
  5. Other than Middle LB agreed other positions should take lesser priority over upgrading QB and both lines.
  6. Debating whether to start Aaron today in my fantasy playoff game. Have David Carr, Keenum, and Goff as well to choose from. Picked Rodgers off waivers a few weeks ago prior to him coming back. Don’t love Carr or Goff this week. Was leaning towards Keenum who has been consistent but thinking Rodgers could seal win for me. Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill have put me in good shape for today so not as big of a risk now.
  7. Defintely believe both Lawson and Ragland were Rex’s guys.
  8. For this organization it will come down to finding a Franchise QB. Do that and this team will be setup for success in the future. Fail to find one and we will continue to spin our wheels.
  9. Expecting heavy rush attack due to weather and to limit potential QB mistakes.
  10. It was a team effort under a system suited to its players strengths. To diminish Tyrod's role in that is not being realistic. The threat of Tyrod running and read option forced defenses to account for him and allowed opportunities for McCoy to make plays in space. I mean even Gillislee looked like an All-Pro in that offense and where is he now on the bench a healthy scratch. Up front we returned the same players as last year and McCoy is not leading a top ten offense this year. What changed how about the entire offensive system. To summarize top ranked offense last year all McCoy. This year bottom ranked offense all on Tyrod. Yep makes sense to me.
  11. Bradford's knee would be like Cordy Glenn's foot or Percy Harvin's migraines. Would be a mistake to sign him as I just don't think he will stay healthy long enough to be available. I rather take my lumps with Peterson while rookie QB is groomed than stay in neutral and never going anywhere.
  12. Division game against the Bengals is not a gimmee. The Ravens offense has been terrible so teams should be able to hang around with them. Will come down to the Raven's defense to carry team to the playoffs.
  13. I think it is more important for Glenn to be back out there and close to 100%. The offensive line is the key to making things move on offense.
  14. Dude has a number of red flags and teams will be afraid to take a chance on potentially the next Johnny Manziel/Ryan leaf. How long did either of them last. If they draft him late 1 or early 2 and don't give the farm up to do it wouldn't complain. However, I don't see him being a fit with this coach for one and the current offensive staff as currently constructed. Russell Wilson and Drew Brees are the exceptions to the rule and not the norm. So for me if I am drafting a QB in the first he better check off as many boxes as possible to give me the best chance of succeeding. Offseason interviews will be huge for a guy like Mayfield as teams will probably be split on him. I hope he does everything from playing at the Senior Bowl, to throwing at the Combine and Pro days. He needs to keep his nose clean between now and draft time while showing he is committed to changing his image. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports/college/bleacher-report-baker-mayfield-among-nfl-hopefuls-with-red-flags/494CQbX7oaEVL1rEKZ8CXL/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2L6aZ7a8oIg
  15. Unless Cleveland makes a run at Cousins or Jimmy Garoppolo they have to draft a QB at #1 can't see anyway around it.
  16. Also, seems like a bit of a head case wouldn't be surprised if he slid to the 2nd round. Height is also an issue we already have a smaller QB who struggles seeing the field. Would Dennison be creative enough to cater an offense to Mayfield I have my doubts. I think the organization prefers bigger QBs with traditional measurables.
  17. If Darnold doesn't come out. Cleveland will probably draft Rosen# 1 at which point I wouldn't be interested in trading that far up for any of the other QBs.
  18. Haha Church of Tyrod.
  19. Hughes hasn't done much since Mario Williams left. No skill positions early in the draft next year other than QB. The top offseason priorities should be DT, RT, DE, and RG.
  20. The season was contingent on the defense rebounding from the Rex era and the offense maintaining the same level it had performed previously. Both hasn't happened in the past few weeks and as an result we have lost games. Both the offensive and defensive lines needs to be fixed next year. I wouldn't want to put any rookie QB behind the line we have right now. Even if we draft a QB early next year I am reconsidering keeping Taylor for another year as I just don't see this team being close. For me a rookie should be put in if you have a strong team that can carry him while he develops and gains experience like the situation Roethlisberger was in with the Steelers.
  21. You must not read all the game day threads then because I have seen Tyrod criticized for every throw he makes both good and bad.
  22. McCoy wouldn't be able to do anything this year anyway. If they fired Dennison they would promote someone in house for the rest of the season. So I wouldn't expect McCoy to be picked up until the offseason if McDermott is even interested in making a change.
  23. Yep and it is on the offensive staff to find ways to beat what the other team is doing and get creative with the plays being called. How about giving your starting qb the option to audible once in a while. This offensive staff has done Taylor no favors by trying to make him into something he is not a pocket passer. The defense was the key to turning around the season and they have failed so maybe McDermott needs to spend more time fixing that first.
  24. Taylor is the bridge to the next guy nothing more. Terrible decision by McDermott to pull him for a rookie and those are the kind of decisions that can make you lose a locker room real quick. The offensive line is terrible and Peterman was put in a tough spot when there are holes all over this team. Although I would prefer to keep starting Peterman as I feel the season is lost anyway. It would be a hard sell to the rest of the locker room so I think they will go back to Taylor next week.
  25. With this defense doubt Taylor would have won the game anyway. Trading away Dareus mid season for a nothing pick will be a decision they regret. With how the season has unfolded, I would go back to Peterson next week. I did not agree with benching Taylor while still in contention and I am sure the Vets on the team would agree. However, what is done is done and the season is lost as this was a must win game. However, with how this team has been playing the most important objective now is to see what you have in Peterman. Need to see if you can even count on him to be the backup next year or if you need to sign another veteran. What I wouldn't do is pick up Taylor's option and try to trade him. If you are going to stick with Dennison then you need to find QB who fits system they are trying to run.
