Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?
billieve420 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was it because guys were injured constantly and there was no continuity at WR? Tought to tell plus the FO went out and got a bunch of bigger possession WRs who don't fit Tyrod's style. I think Tyrod would benefit by having quick shifty WRs who have speed and can get open in space. Even with that I think at his best Tyrod is a .500 QB and the ideal backup QB. -
Barkley is great now but as soon as he starts losing the call for Allen will be coming from everyone. Anyone thinking Barkley is anymore than a backup is fooling themselves. Then when Allen struggles the call to draft another QB will begin. There is why playing for a losing organization is so difficult. When the results are not instant people are ready to move to the next thing. Teams change from year to year. Winning culture has more to do with building a foundation, a standard, that everyone from the top to the bottom of the organization follows. The wins come from everyone working toward this goal. The first step in building that winning culture is having a franchise QB. Barkley is not that guy so with the season almost out of reach the focus should be on the younger players. What Barkley demonstrated was that he could be the potential answer at backup QB and deserves opportunity to return to the team next year. The more live reps Allen can get the better prepared he will be for next year. Would I be willing to trade an extra 1-2 wins this year to make a leap next year. The answer would be yes I would. If Allen turns into that franchise QB we have been searching so long for would make all the struggles worth it.

I think the opportunity for Allen to sit and learn went out the window the moment Peterman crapped the bed against Baltimore week 1. McDermott/Bean brought that on themselves by not getting another veteran after trading away McCarron. Now this is a tricky situation regarding the starting QB this week against the Jags. If the Bills are truly committed to Allen they need to let him play regardless of the results. I am sure after a bad game against a talented by inconsistent Jags defense people will be up in arms about Barkley being given another shot. However, that would be the worst situation for your prized rookie to be put in. I think for the long term success of the franchise the time is now to give Allen as many reps possible heading into next year. We are out of playoff race despite not officially being eliminated. Not only for the QB position but other spots as well. We should be incorporating younger guys like Teller and Foster more to see what we have going into next year and what positions need to be addressed. I am curious to see if they milk Allen's injury another week. If Barkley comes back down to earth next week against the Jags it makes it easier to put Allen back into that starter role.

Has the light finally gone on for Zay Jones?
billieve420 replied to KOKO NFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he fits in good as the slot WR. Still need 2 outside WRs to complement. I would draft one high in the upcoming draft. The team is finally focusing on upgrading the speed at the WR position. It makes things easier for the QB when guys can get open in space. We were overloaded with possession WRs who had hard time getting separation. This makes things much more difficult on the QB when everything is being contested. -
Peterman actually played quite well!
billieve420 replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the coaching staff believes he knows enough of the playbook and are potentially interested in bringing him back next year that would be fine. I rather eliminate any doubt about whether Peterman can play in this league. If they keep him on the roster and can't rely on him to be the backup he serves no purpose on this team and should be cut. -

I think you keep rolling out Peterman until Allen is ready. Let Anderson do what he was brought in to do which is mentor Allen. This season is lost and if there is any consideration in regards to keep Peterman on the roster remainder of the year or next season he needs to play. -
Bills claim WR Isaac McKittrick from Seahawks
billieve420 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This guy is the only offense we need. He will take every kickoff and punt for a touchdown. The offense will never have to see the field again. -
Bill's Offensive Line is the problem. Amazing stat.
billieve420 replied to Kevin1778's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fixing the o-line should be priority #1 in the off season and doing whatever it takes both in FA and the draft to field a competent unit out there. I think Dawkins is OK but would benefit by seeing what he can do at RT before moving him inside to guard. -
Why did Rex only get 2 years?
billieve420 replied to RosenNOTchosen1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex was living off the past and was checked out. He turned the defense over to his brother when he was on the hot seat. He got what he deserved. -
Notable Offensive Moves by McDermott
billieve420 replied to jrober38's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are no guarantees but they will have the cap space and draft capital to improve that side of the ball. We will have to see what their plan is in the offseason. Beane/McDermott are not going anywhere so they will have to find a way to fix the offense or that will become the downfall of this regime like so many in the past. -
Notable Offensive Moves by McDermott
billieve420 replied to jrober38's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
None of these moves will matter if Allen becomes a franchise QB. Hopefully they give the kid a fighting chance and put a decent team around him next year. -
Critical must lose game next Sunday
billieve420 replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
However if we can trade down and get couple extra picks it would be nice to be in the top 3. -
Peterman fact with just a twinge of hope
billieve420 replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman has that gunslinger mentality but doesn't have the arm to take those kind of chances. He definitely needs to be more careful with the ball this week. -
What I think tonight shows is that if Kyle Shannahan or Sean Mcvay ever become available. Pegula should bring in the brinks truck and pay these guys. Both know offense and have a QB friendly system.

I think the Bills emptied the tanks for MNF against the Pats. I expect the Bears to roll in this one.

Bills need to build around their centerpiece.
billieve420 replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Start with the offensive line and work your way out. Find some WRs who can get open in space and make it easier on the QB. -

Zay is the perfect slot WR. Now get 2 other WRs to play on the outside and we may finally have something. Must draft top WR in the upcoming draft and pair it with some FA signings. -
Get Foles, WR via FA, Draft lineman
billieve420 replied to BigSky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Foles is not worth signing to a long term deal which is what it would take. Just because a guy is good in a system doesn't mean he would be the same in another system. -
MNF Game day thread - Pats vs Bills

Where was this when Josh Allen was starting. -
At least tonight’s game would be more interesting to watch if Peterman started. Holding your breath ever time Peterman throws an out and wondering if pass about to get picked off. That Indy game was a snooze fest.

QB Kyle Allen worked out for Bills

We need another developmental prospect so even if he is signed to the practice squad wouldn't be a bad move. -
Report: Bills have discussed trading KB
billieve420 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are not signing him to an extension. So if I was the GM I would be looking to move players who won't be here long term. Too many injury concerns plus I worry about motivation once he does get paid. He is going to need and take a 1 yr prove it deal next year from some team to show he can produce at a high level. -

Not seeing enough creativity from Daboll to manufacture offense while Allen gets up to speed.
