  1. Regardless if you agree or disagree with Rex's coaching style. The problem also shows the lack of leadership in the Jets locker room. I don't believe the Bills will have this problem. If a player is out of line and their actions are affecting the team. I believe something will be said and it will be handled internally. Rex needs to find that balance with having the player's back while maintaining discipline. Hopefully, his prior experiences make him a better coach.
  2. Why not keep both QBs. If one turns out to be better you keep the other one as the backup and a trade chip if some other team is willing to make a generous offer.
  3. Schein is no Rex Fan
  4. http://articles.philly.com/2015-03-26/sports/60480448_1_rex-ryan-eagles-notes-lesean-mccoy Article mentions 3 players were offered in trade for Mccoy. Wondering who was made available.
  5. The date is correct RFAs have until 4/24 to sign an offer sheet. http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2015/03/nfl_calendar_2015_key_dates_de.html
  6. I think this move shows how lacking the QBs in the draft are. Taylor will come in and compete with Tuel for # 3. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills forgo drafting someone now.
  7. This will be an extremely athletic group if we manage to sign Clay. The pieces are coming together just need to fix this o line and get some decent QB play from somewhere.
  8. If anyone overpaid it was the Bears. To think we got Hughes at the amount he signed at is a bargain in my eyes and something I didn't think would happen once it hit the weekend. It is nice to see our own get re-signed.
  9. I hope this is a ploy to get the Jets to up their offer and give Powell extra money. Deal makes no sense Boobie Dixon is your special teams guy. Can the team please focus on bringing in some real o line talent in versus spending time collecting RBs. Need tough guys who can open a hole and don't get blown up in the running game. If Powell signs Fred is probably a goner. No way you keep 5 rbs unless you plan to convert one of them to FB either Boobie or Powell.
  10. We are goin with a team with nothing but rbs. I hope whaley got a trade in the works for Brown.
  11. Yep and they also have a cap budget so Easley is not a high priority. I am sure the team and his agent have already discussed numbers. Unless the team is completely low balling him a deal could probably be done now. However signing Easley at X now may limit what they can offer another player.
  12. Easley is on the back burner till Hughes and other soon to be priority FAs are dealt with. He is a special teams beast hopefully he is re-signed once things settle down. Other than one preseason he hasn't shown much at receiver maybe he gets a shot this year if they don't sign another guy. It is clear the Bills are looking for a bigger WR/TE when they were sniffing around Brandon Marshall.
  13. Hughes is now the top available FA DE available. He is good as gone in my opinion. If we can use the money that was going to go to him and use it towards a OG, DE, LB, and TE. I rather have a Clint Boling, Jason Worilds, David Harris, and Julius Thomas than just Hughes and another player.
  14. Honestly if EJ can't beat out Matt Cassel he is never going to be a factor for the Bills. The Bills will probably draft another developmental QB to compete with Tuel. It will come down to EJ or Matt Cassel come opening day unless something crazy happens.
  15. At least it was a straight up deal and Bills didn't toss in extra picks
  16. It is hard to lead when you haven't proven yourself yet in this league. That comes with time I believe EJ has the necessary skills to develop into an effective leader. I think the benching will help him in the long term we will see whether or not he can translate that on the field. Reason why it made no sense to me for him to be cut until at least after training camp if he shows he does not have what it takes to succeed.
  17. Come back to me when it is March 7th and no deal is done. Both sides are going to try and squeeze each other for the best deal possible.
  18. I think he will end up on the Raiders or Jags teams with a lot of cap space and probably willing to throw out crazy money. He has been linked to both teams.
  19. Reason why there should have been no rush to sign this guy. His agent got him a great deal creating a bidding war when there will be similar QBs out there come Mar. 10th. Not disappointed in the least. We need 1 veteran and 1 younger guy to come in and compete with EJ and Tuel for roster spots.
  20. Free Agency hasn't kicked off yet. The Bills are bidding against themselves. McCown's agent has all the leverage right now. Reason why I don't see the rush to sign a guy who was terrible last year and hasn't shown he is a clear upgrade over the other QBs soon to hit the market.
  21. Not sure what the rush is to sign the guy. I rather take a chance on Matt Moore a guy who has played decently in limited opportunities.
  22. The Bills will draft a QB project in the 5th or later. Their primary job will be to knock Tuel off the roster. They will bring in a veteran QB to compete with EJ.
  23. I would toss one of our 5ths St. Louis's way. If he is not going to restructure they may have to cut him anyway and get nothing. Highest I would be willing to surrender is a 4th for a talented but extremely injury prone individual.
  24. He gets additional guaranteed money vs the team cutting him and him losing out on the rest of his money.
