  1. Ok, so he was a special teams guy when the Bills went to the Superbowls. Does that automatically mean we have to love him? Ummm, negative. So treat him better even though he doesn't even call a game evenly, never mentioning anything positive about the Bills? Please. All in all he was a great special teams player nothing more? Was great at tackling, was great at the hard hits... he was our Rudy. So relating him to McGuire is no problem to me... after all both of them were, again, on special teams. Memories are just that.... memories.
  2. We lost Nate no matter what. They are not going to pay him that much money when they still have a lot to do with this team.
  3. As far as I know, it does not matter if the QB is out of the pocket or not. A CB can not block the opportunity of a WR from coming back catch a ball. ie: Pass Interference. That was actually the first thing I noticed on replay. Worse thing about this is that JP and the Bills still will get no respect or acknowledgement for the progress they have made this year.
  4. So the Chiefs won. Now what? It's quite sad, even after I read the million and one posts on what we need I forgot that scenario. What I do know is: Needs... Chiefs beat the Raiders NE to beat the Jags Maimi to beat the Jets What about the Denver game? Cincy or Denver? If I remember correctly, we need Cincy to win. That would place all of us at: Cincy 9-6 Bills 8-7 Jags 8-7 Denver 8-7 Jets 8-7 KC 8-7
  5. And five Super Mighty's on the way home.
  6. "Hey Herman, I see Kansas City is treating you well!!!"
  7. No. Black out is a black out for the local region.
  8. Let's break this down: Such a terrible team... I believe that would make the Titans an equally terrible team since they have the same record. Lions are talked about more than the Bills... correct, because they are just bad and they are having the usual Milan issues. Aren't gonna get any better... Umm, they already are better than last year. Der. Ok, so now that school is out and mommy probably wants her computer back. Go outside and play with the other kids.
  9. Big Ben's best weapon last year was Bettis. Life without Bettis has been rough on Ben.
  10. Liked it except it had me cheering for the Ravens if Buffalo doesn't make it.
  11. I saw that as well. I love how all of these other teams are in the hunt. Yet, Buffalo is out... I have only seen one positive one do far. Okay...so Indy wins convincingly at home and the Bengals join the logjam in the AFC at 8-6. But what does that mean for the AFC playoff race overall. Here are some quick thoughts: - Indianapolis now controls its own destiny for the #2 seed in the AFC (Colts have common opponents edge over Baltimore) and will actually clinch at least the #2 seed with a win next week at Houston and a Baltimore loss at Pittsburgh. - With the Cincinnati loss, Baltimore has now clinched the AFC North division title. Ravens have to beat Indy outright to have tiebreaker over them for the #2 seed. In addition, if Baltimore can best Indy on overall record and tie San Diego, the Ravens will get the #1 seed due to head-to-head win over San Diego earlier this year. - New England can clinch a first-round bye if they win out to get to 12-4 and Baltimore loses one game and Indy loses two games. - Of the four 8-6 teams, Denver has the tiebreaker advantage at this time based on conference record (7-4 vs. Bengals' 6-4 and Jets-Jags both at 5-5). - Both Denver and Cincinnati control their own destiny for playoff spots, however these teams play each other this week so that leaves an opening for either Jacksonville or NY Jets or potentially one of the four 7-7 teams. - In case Jacksonville and the NY Jets end up tied for a Wild Card spot, the Jaguars beat the Jets earlier this year in tight affair 41-0. - The Jets seem to have the easiest rode the rest of the way as they travel to 6-8 Miami then host 2-12 Oakland. Other schedules of the 8-6 teams are much tougher as Denver plays Cincy and SF, Cincy plays Denver and Pitt and Jacksonville plays New England and KC. - Of the 7-7 teams, Buffalo is in the best position to make an impact as they can still get to 7-5 in conference record, beat Jacksonville head-to-head and would have tiebreaker advantage over the NY Jets at 9-7 if the Jets loss is at Miami (division loss).
  12. I believe that Bills fans are outstanding... unfortunately we haven't had a great product to watch until this season. I think that has scarred a lot of people. People are just waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under them again. Sad thing is that home field advantage is a powerful thing, it would truly show the NFL something if the game was sold out and the Titans Offense is messed up by all of the noise.
  13. I'm thinking last weeks game for the Titans was a fluke. No way will that defense will dominate the Bills.
  14. Same goes for the Skins. No shows are huge. My in-laws have a hard time finding people who actually want their tickets... for free!! Blackout rule, I think should be taken away... or changed so that if the larger stadiums (like the Ralph) have 65,000+ people it's considered a sell out.
  15. Alright I believe it is time for predictions on the Titans vs Bills game. After all, it is a football night. My prediction is: Titans - 10 Bills - 20 I believe that Vince Young, of course will make some plays... however the constant pass rush from schobel and company will rattle him a bit. Making him do some rookie mistakes. 2 sacks, 1 INT. Sacks will be from: Schobel and Kyle Williams. INT will be from Ko Simpson. The Titans TD will come from TH. Offensive side of the ball: JP will throw for about 180 yards and two TDs. McGahee will only have about 65 yards rushing. TDs will come from Evans and Royal. Anyone else care to join in? Why not right? What else do you have to do... work?
  16. Lori, I was thinking the same thing. Man am I getting old if "old school" is 1988
  17. I think the only thing that bothers me about most of the rankings is that Pittsburgh is ahead of the Bills.
  18. Screw the refs. Just kidding. Great chemistry on the team right now. And they are showing what we all begged for MM to do last year. Give the younger guys playing time. Jauron has done that and looks what has been going on. They are playing very hard each and every play. With all of the being said I firmly believe in bringing in a couple FA's at the end of the season.... hate to use the term, but "character guys". Not the flashy, see me - pay me guys... but guys like Evans who just get the job and know that their play will determine their salary. Not their antics. 9-7 here we come!!!
  19. Thank god. I just acquired two more tickets... wheew. Almost had to make the hard decision - wife or friend.
  20. I will be there as well with 6 people. Bills fans invading M&T Bank Stadium????
  21. He made it for the same reason Reuben Brown made it all of those years. Popularity.
