  1. Which was my point a while ago... polls mean nothing until we get closer to November 4th.
  2. Why is it that I am trying to cover? Especially when I said bad location, bad time for the event? I am merely stating the fact that Nissan is a bad location for an event like this. And really? A major slap in the campaign face? Heh? Of course, there is a few ways to get there and I am sure it's quite easy when there is nothing going on. I have been to many concerts/events there - I have always found it to be an annoying drive. Oh and most people have jobs - kind of hard to get out there at 3:00pm - which means that depending on where you are coming from you would have to leave at 2:00pm. Virginia is becoming more and more blue every year.
  3. To be released by RASMUSSEN: National Poll Shows Bounce for Obama; Obama now leads McCain 48% to 43%....
  4. So if you live near there you know it is a pain in the butt to get there. It's a fact Nissan is a pain in the butt to get to. Especially during rush hour. No excuse, just fact. Obama disrupting Warners campaign. HAHAHAHA!! Yeah a Presidential candidate would never help another candidate.
  5. I call it a bad location. Nissan is pain in the butt place to get in and out of. Plus at 6:00pm on Thursday, bad time as well.
  6. Wow, you really hate democrats and Obama huh.
  7. So enlighten all of us with the truth that you have found.
  8. Maybe some foolish people would say that. However, I believe in this case she had a chance to get the spot until she gave her victory speech the other day, instead of bowing out gracefully. She's simply trying to use leverage to gain the VP position. He doesn't owe her anything. Personally, she tied in my mind for that position with Webb and Bayh.
  9. I agree completely. I do admire Hillary for those same attributes. I too, do not want to see another Clinton or Bush in the White House ever again. Now the question is who will be Obama's running mate? I am thinking either Webb or Bayh.
  10. No chance at this point. Everyone wants and knows that it's over.
  11. It's not a matter of kissing butt, it's more about doing the right thing.
  12. I don't hate her. I just think that she blew her chance last night. Instead of ending it gracefully she was pretty much defiant.
  13. Fair enough. I would hope that you vote Democrat - after all their policies do not differ that much.
  14. Yes, there are stats that show those "dems" leaving the party for McCain. I am having a hard time believing this go around. After all McCain has never really come out and said anything positive for American Labor. The one thing that Obama brings to the table in a large way is the independents and swing vote republicans. So if he doesn't choose Hillary - would you vote for McCain? If so, I find that to be kind of sad. Other female options for VP (from Huffington): Kathleen Sebelius Talk about reaching across the aisle. This Kansas governor convinced a Republican to leave his party, become a Democrat, and run as her lieutenant governor. Kansas is rife with stories of Republicans undergoing conversions, and Sebelius gets a good amount of credit for this. Pro: Another Red-state governor with an excellent post-partisan record. Having a female VP could be a strong ticket. Con: Sebelius didn't wow anyone with her response to the State of the Union, which raises questions about how she would do on the national stage. And her location in Kansas doesn't add much that Obama doesn't already get from Illinois. Janet Napolitano Another popular Western governor, Napolitano has settled into a second term in McCain's very red home state. She also backed Obama early in the race. Pros: She has proven her executive capacity in Republican territory, as well as the Southwest, which will help sway Obamicans. A female candidate could also help reunite the Democrats. Con: Her stance on immigration could prove costly among Hispanic voters.
  15. Ok, so each candidate hits a certain demographic better than the other. I do not believe that she is best candidate simply because she can pull some white workers. However, she is (obviously) pretty damn tough. Believe me the Labor community will be behind the democratic nominee. Especially when GM is now stating that they are closing even more plants. Things need to change. In regards to the superdelegates, I would expect Obama to upwards 340 or slightly more by the close of polls tonight. I do agree with you about making it easier on her supporters if she was part of the ticket. Good or bad she is such a polarizing political figure. Bad thing for her is that there are other possible female candidates for VP, as well as others that would entice the white workers. I am glad to know that you are going to back Obama if she concedes. We (Dems) need to get this thing moving towards the goal in November.
  16. May I add to that? According to Hillary on a radio show... the voters meant something to her. The results, well she knew that they wouldn't count and made sure the people listening knew that they wouldn't count. Of course that was before she behind. I'm not worried about workers from Ohio or Michigan getting behind Obama. Labor will definitely be there.
  17. You don't care about polls now? Funny. Just stop looking back at polls from a year ago. They meant nothing (just ask Hillary). Just like this poll having Obama in a virtual tie with McCain means nothing. A long drawn out process, letting the other party's candidate basically run around unchallenged - that CAN and WILL have an affect on your beloved polls. The only thing bad that happened, in my opinion, is that the process went on to long.
  18. It's funny, I believe the last democrat in office had a balanced budget. You do not have to explain to me what has happened in the past - I was here then. I never called the American people idiots - nor did the democratic party. We call the republican party idiots. I do love the deny, deny, deny - blame other argument you have. Let me ask you this... do republicans do that?
  19. Dude, I got your ridiculous point a while ago. However, you are missing mine. Again, again, again, again. You find it funny that the Dems had a lead before by using George Bush's name and now that lead is gone and according to you that plan has got us no where and it's funny how people still want to establish a link between Bush and McCain. Again, How can anyone move forward if you don't know/understand what caused the problem? How can anyone move forward if you want to follow the same path that got us in trouble in the first place? I believe in the fact that polls change and this far out mean absolutely nothing. That is what you call reality.
  20. I wouldn't say "we all" believed that it would be Guliani.
  21. Dare all you want... I could really care less. A mentally affected person would not pay attention to what caused the problems with our country. And since you are mentally affected, I'll let you slide on the fact that I have said many times over that McCain has been able to place all of his campaign energy on one person. Obama. Where as Obama has not, hence lead in the polls dwindle down. Now that the nominating process is almost over, that will change. Did you follow along that time?
  22. What's hysterical is that you are loving a poll that means nothing as of right now. It just goes to show how much you know about politics and polls. Of course they should blame Bush and the republican party the country is pretty much f'd up right now. And which party was in power the longest? Which party drove the country into a huge deficit? So if you don't want to hear about Bush anymore... what has McCain done to distance himself from Bush? Private fundraising? Call me puppet all you want, I work within the political arena a ton
