  1. Back it up? Serious? Just look at the difference. Better yet, let's play a game. Which one is not like the other? Bush and Cheney piece worst part of that is that is characterizes them a beer drinking frat boys. Obamas - American Flag in the fireplace, Bin Laden on the wall, Michele Obama carrying a gun and dressed in camo, Obama in muslim gear.... And I get the satire. I just think it's over the top.
  2. No, I couldn't read the header. Every one of these publications is out there to make money. They all need subscribers, they all push for new subscribers.
  3. There is a difference between the satire they have run in the past and going over the top. They went over the top. Come on, you can say that the satire is comparable to the one with Bush and Cheney surrounded by empty beer bottles? No way.
  4. Did I say he was falling asleep holding his military record and next to a glass of water used to take his medicine?
  5. As long as during that minute of thinking he doesn't fall asleep.
  6. They did say that they were looking into the leased land. However they are happy because this way is faster and more inexpensive.
  7. You have to remember that yes, the New Yorker has gained some great media coverage. It like any other publication is looking for new subscribers. If this is their way of making a statement to gain new subscribers, gain media coverage, make an impact - they did it in what I think is a very bold way.
  8. Surge seemed to be working in Iraq. Let's pull troops from there and place them in Afghanistan!!!
  9. I disagree. If you are using this as they as cover art. Yes, the piece should be plain as day... the audience should not have to have it explained to them. If that's the case place it with the article itself.
  10. Yes, they will see some of the democrats that lost elections and know why the country went to crap. Republicans. Sorry had to do it.
  11. It is an election year and if Congress tosses this aside he instantly makes them look bad. Win, win for Georgie-boy
  12. So because she went to Ivy League School and is making good money that means she has never been the victim of racism? Again, I can't remember the last time I saw a party attack the other candidates wife just as much as the candidate. Quite sad. What's next Obama's kids?
  13. Something does need to happen no doubt. And like you said this may be the way for long term help. However, someone has to work on the short term. Another thing, wouldn't it be nice to see ships lining up at U.S. docks filling up on oil. May be a nice boost to the economy.
  14. I'd like to know how this will relate to the current gas prices.
  15. I know it's a joke. I still think that it's ridiculous and in bad taste. And really, he is victim here (so is his wife).
  16. A doctored photo of McCain is nothing compared to that cover, unless I had something go after his military record. I would feel the same.
  17. I just don't think it's in great taste. Not only for the Obama's part - and really when was the last time a candidate's wife has been attacked so much? What really struck a nerve with me was the flag in the fireplace and Bin Laden on the wall. Just sad.
  18. Isn't that because everything goes towards investing in the future?
  19. I just can't believe that people do not this to be disgusting. I know, damn Libs can't take a joke. Whatever. I just think that is in some serious poor taste. Maybe the next one should be making fun of McCain.... maybe carrying around the Hanoi Hilton pictures, using them as a show and tell?
