For me it is also a way to say that companies who do not perform while receiving funding should not receive bonuses. Earn your bonus. However, I also agree about the government being unchecked on their decisions to give or rather to revoke bonuses... that could be easily skewed/manipulated in DC.

I still believe that Edwards is the man here. With the weapons he now has, especially if this Scheffler signing is legit and if we can get him (like all QBs) the protection he needs. His ability to manage a game to not make mistakes will get the job done. Now don't get me wrong, Cutler is a good QB. Just not to sure that he would be that much of an upgrade. What you get in points is great, but what you may give up in our very strong division with his INTs could be very bad.

Maybe they are not operating with a ton of cap room however they will do what is best for them, not for Peppers. The NFL is business, teams need and want to get better. If they can get a higher draft for him, they will make sure it's done. Teams that would pay for that player are teams like Buffalo, teams that are in desperate need for a DE. I am sure that the Bills could figure out how to get Peppers his money without killing us.

I will admit it. I think with the right tools and protection, Trent could lead this team to the playoffs. However, we do need a solid TE and DE.

Do you know who had the most earmarks in that bill? Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell earmarks co-sponsored totaled $75.6 million. Most people did not know that AIG was giving money to banks that already received bailout money. They do now.

Money levels the playing field. We would have to hope that Ralph will loosen up the purse strings.
