Harrison Phillips recovery update
Pirate Angel replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the plan was to have Harry rotate and compete with star last year than have him take over this year if he showed he was capable. The injury postponed this if he has a solid offseason it wouldn't surprise me to see them move Star around pre season, especially with the free agent signings of D lineman. Im going to go ahead and say Beane will grab another 5-6 round pick before the season starts. -
I think I figured out why Beane is such a great GM...

He doesn't make moves to create hype and sell tickets...he makes moves with the mindset to build a winner. -
Bills sign LB AJ Klein 3yrs $18M

Makes sense, Edmund's weaker skillset seems to be when he is ran straight at up the A gaps. Never thought about this seems very smart to allow him to have an angle as much as possible. -
If teams game planned against him like he was a topped 3 DT, it would be an embarrassment. Sure he is nice depth and ended up with some decent stats but did he ever have a major impact on the outcome of a game?? I'm going to say half of those sacks he was the second man in on the play, or a result of great coverage. Nothing wrong with that but hardly a player to spend big money on..

Shaq Lawson wants "that cash"

Bill's wiffed when they didnt pick up his 5th year option, could of had him for another year at a fraction of the cost. -
The Bills should re-sign Shaq and J. Phillips

I think star gets released, clearing up cap space. Resigning just depends on the market, this front office seems to favor team friendly contracts meaning they can release them with little financial burden if they dont produce. So it will be a matter of how bad do they want to be here or do they want a guaranteed contract. I'm thinking this DNA they look for is wanting to earn your paycheck. -

Daboll is an excellent play caller

Eric Wood wasn't exactly ever under great play calling regime, Him telling me what a great offensive coordinator is has as much weight as my friend that f**** fat chicks telling me how to get laid. -
Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
Pirate Angel replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the beginning of the season we where at best a 9-7 team and now we are headed toward 9-7 everyone's all bent out of shape. A young QB learning on on offense that doesn't have a single stud in it....Our offensive line is much improved from last year but it's still just OK, Our WRs are a better unit than last year but still around Average, Brown and Beasley could be great assets to a true #1 WR. Our run game doesn't scare anyone, I like singletary but as of right now he needs to be part of a committee and not with 36 year old gore. -
The D isn't built to handle what hit them today
Pirate Angel replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defense isn't going to dominate every game, Offense needs to sustain drives, score points, not turn the ball over. Philly's TOP was 12 minutes more -
LOS is soft because of coaching
Pirate Angel replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our Line did it job against the run, Milano and and Edmunds are very good in coverage and In persuit but when being ran straight at them they're not so great, Philly exposed it.. hopefully we can get it fixed. -
Drew Bledsoe debate topic

Trading a first for a immobile QB and putting him behind Melvin Fowler, tuten Reyes, Mike Gandy, Mike Williams can more than likely be chalked up to "irresponsible decision making" -

Good point, it did seem like a very vanilla, preseasonish gameplan -

We need Josh Allen to be Tyrod Taylor for 3 quarters
Pirate Angel replied to Strethor's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah let's have him play like a below average QB in his prime, nobody wants a talented youngster that could possibly be a franchise making mistakes. 20 years with no playoffs wasn't so bad. I love mediocracy -
Did Jonathan Jones purposely take out Josh Allen?
Pirate Angel replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh needs to play smarter period....not only with protecting the football but protecting himself, if a quarterback is going to continually expose himself in the open field the way Josh does he is going to get lit up. Wether it's legal, dirty, illegal, it's going to happen again and again untill the kid plays smarter. The designed run plays need to tone it down a notch too. The Bully will always be a bully until you give them the black eye, 5 turnovers to the patriots and we still could have won. -
Have You Started To Lose Faith in Josh Allen?
Pirate Angel replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He just needs to take a sack, throw, it away, or throw it in the dirt instead of gambling and throwing picks. Also Everytime we pass he is in shotgun formation, now that does help a young QB see the field but it also telegraphs that your passing. Recall all the reverse and flips to TEs and Wrs that were effective against Cinci...runs out of the shotgun against a team that was in pass defense. Now belicheck with much better safety's bring players closer to the line and retreat into pass protection which allows for more speed closer to the line nullyfying those types of plays. The first pick Josh locked on to John brown assuming he had him 1 on 1 and didn't see the safety playing deep.
