I know it is just a preseason game, but the Rogers center appears to have an awful lot of good empty seats.With all the hipe I expected more. Crowd noise was dismal. The camera's showed some fans dressed in Bill's gear dancing to "Shout "after a score and everyone around them is sitting down watching with the WTF look on their faces. And.... I believe the biggest cheer I heard was after the Steelers first TD.......also WTF. Please keep the Bills in Buff. Anybody else see it this way?

Freddy had about a 10 yd or more cushion. I'd rather have my back in the open, one on one with a linebacker , than take a sack and loss. Thats the kind of thinking that has us at the bottom of the heap.

I also just watched game again. Jp didn't read the rush, the back on the play was "wide open" in the left flat,all but waving his hands, the sack game at about 3.5 seconds. JP was still waiting for his well covered receivers to come open over the middle,never looked anywhere else. I quess you could call it a preseason goof up, but the game just doesn't seem to be slowing down for JP yet,after 3 seasons.

A bad example of suck and hover is the Fins homepage. Their drop downs windows go from vert.box to a narrow horiz. bar across the page. You have to hold the L.click down to navigate and if your pointer slips off that narrow bar the boxes close and you have to start all over again. Sucks like some fish. Bye the way that has to be the worst NFL team site going.

Chad may not be the QB he was, or one we would want, but he is a lot better than what the Fish have now. He's a Tuna guy , and a veteran of AFCE wars. Yes it will make beating them harder. Anybody know his record against us as a starter? I'll bet .500 or better. Lori ???

Fins boards are lit up . Reporting Chad Pennington on his way to Miami following his release. Apparently Dolphins had already inquired prior to his release by Jets today. Our playoff road looks longer still.....

A recent Fins article in Palm Beach Post reported, Staff and Marino at recent practice VERY troubled by QB position.Their three headed monster apparently went 2 for 22 in one session. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphins/cont...phins_0803.html After drafting Ted Ginn JR. as a game breaker???? and signing Ernest Wilford , the Fins thought they had the wideout position covered. Guess Not. They found Ginn apparently can only learn to run go routes and Wilford has imploded and was booted from the starting line-up. This may have been discussed before , but I don't recall it. This preseason will be a real good warm up for our Bills , and should help us get off to a fast start. We face the Redskins,on the road, in the first game. They will have a one game headstart having already played in this weekends Hall of Fame game.I'm sure they haven't forgotten last years regular season loss to us either. The second game we face the always strong Steelers in Toronto. The first NFL game in Canada.The hype should have both teams fired up, even if it is preseason. Game three, usually billed as the primer for the regular season , we face the Colts on the road, doesn't get any tougher. Game four Lions at our house, we rest the starters. The Bills need to get out of the gate this year and win early. If we are below 500 at the bye the seasons over. Opening against the Seahawks, then on the road to the Jaguars, Raiders at the Ralph, then away to the Rams and Cards. That's a whole lot of skymiles early on. If the playoff prediction is going to come true we need to be 4 and 1 at the bye and feeling good about facing the Chargers at home game six. Counting the Chargers I see five games we could easily lose after the bye. So winning the opener and starting strong is a must or it's 8/8, 9/7 and another season down the hole. Lets hope the Teams ready game one this season. Go BILLS

I am excited to see what our tightends are able to do this year. The video clip of Derik Schouman on the Bills website is very hopeful. Just pads , but he looks great catching everything. Our other Derik has set lots of college records and could also be a TE that is a gamer. Lets hope they both excel. Two pass catching TE's that also block well, wow. Here's hoping they develope quickly into our version of Dallas Clark and Chris Cooley on the same team.....would that be trouble for some OLD LB's up in NE.

OK, I've waited an appropriate length of time to hear all the evidence and render my decision. Here comes Marshawn's car slowly rounding the down town corner on a dark, rainy night, out of nowhere come two drunk Canadians bi**chs , one dancing and singing in the middle of the street the other blindly walking into the side of his slowly moving vehicle. Dodging drunks and rain as best as possible the driver obliviously retreats into the night. Canadians are taught from birth that no matter where you step of the curb you can walk into traffic safe in the knowledge that the world will stop turning just for you. The sl*t should be arrested for public intoxication, destruction of private property and being a dumb ass in a foreign country. The cops and D.A. should get a life and stop trying to get on the five 0'clock news. Their 15 minutes of fame is over. Here is another scenario: The driver stops to check out what drunk moron kicked the side of his car, a crowd of drunk a**holes quickly surrounds the scene to check out the hoopla , a fight ensues , which turns into a riot , resulting in shots fired and blood and bodies in the street. Thank god the driver did the right thing and drove Marshawn home and out of harms way. ___________________________________________________________ On another note: Having dealt with Buffalo's finest in the past I KNOW THIS. If this wasn't Marshawn or someone else worthy of a news release the standard police response is " oh, sorry, sucks to be you", be happy you only needed a few stitches, end of story.

Against common opponents Marshawn out rushed Adrian 261/ 169 last year. Only AD's weird 300 yd game againt SD set him up for the Rookie award. Lets hear it . Marshawn is #1. Also Marshawn had 240 runs and only 1 lost fumble all year!

Here's something to ponder, experts say Derik lacks upper body strenght ,yet in the combine he was a top performer in the bench press for TE. He also was tops in the 3 cone drill and 20 yds. shuttle. So although he's not a burner in the forty( 4.8 is still no dog for a TE ,,,see Malcolm Kelley WR 4.7)He is very quick and should be open and catching the ball in the red zone, and making those tough 3rd and 10 1st down catches .He has great hands, character, high motor and intangibles... sounds like a Bill to me. I a Billiever, Derik will be OK.

1985 proved to be a very good year for the Bills. After picking Bruce #1 overall the rest of the Bills own picks were just so, so. ( only Andre turn out to be a long time starter) They struck gold though with what other teams discarded in final cuts, and years later found a short QB that was a player.The Bill's had a few busts in 1985 which I haven't included here.
