  1. Welcome to the Roscoe Parrish moving pocket , double TE ,"WildMouse" offense Bill's fans.
  2. Stats from NFL , for what its worth. QB #4 Fitzpatrick Rec. #'s #1 Stupar #14 Jenkins #22 Huggins #31a Johnson #31b Parish Interceptions #1 Corner-3 #2a Lankster-2 #2b McKelvan-2 #8 Byrd-1 Tackles #'s #2 Harris #10 Buggs #13 Wilson #16 Ellis #48 Corner Bryant and Maybin 2 sacks each about middle of pack.
  3. What's different this year? The Turk will actually be forced to cut players with NFL talent all positions, in years past it was hard just to find 53 warm bodies. This is a good sign of progress.
  4. DJ gave us a clue in the Steelers post game presser. We will play to our strenght, do what we do best....punt and return kick-offs
  5. Talking heads revealed Patriots* practicing alot of 4/3 this year. Question, what offense is more likely to be stopped by the 4/3? Also they played a lot of no huddle offense. Question, what team we know tries to play fast and needs to platoon its D-line.
  6. got them "memphis blues again"
  7. LM's pick was a result of Aaron pushing the LT into the QB as he released the pass. The Bears LT got killed on that play,Schobel showed some strenght on a bullrush. Aaron's speed seems to be back as he has chased a lot of plays down on the backside as well.
  8. I would add that every day you hold out past a "day certain" that your value to the club for the coming year decreases, therefore you signing bonus decreases every day by "said amount".
  9. Johnny had three apples. He gave Billy an orange and a banana, how many grapefruit does Jack have?
  10. I could care less if they win in preseason, did I say that? I like to watch the early games to see what talent we have , much as the coaches do. Not just the starters but the backup too. It is depth that wins games as much as starting talent. My thought process was , having watched the team in preseason and games that count for 50 years this years club is not being manhandled yet, as have the other rosters over the past decade. It gives me hope that we will have some starting talent and depth we have been missing . Maybe we can field a better team this year or next. Yes I'm a homer, and I'd like to see them win a SB before I croak. I've watched most all of the other teams games as well to compare , we look pretty good to me.
  11. The pre-season is about evaluating talent , so far I have not seen our starters or backups be out played by Tenn. or Chi. Two teams with SB mention this year.Granted they may have wiffed on a play or three but in general they look better than most rosters this decade. The Turk is going to have a tough time this year come cut day.
  12. Just want to say as a Bills fan and frequent reader of the SW, it really gets old when a football topic gets highjacked by two pages of useless banter about spelling and punctuation. Come on guys , we can do better. Woods looked good againt Chi. but Tommy Harris didn't play.... we'll see. I was pretty happy how the line played overall. Just hope the blocking keeps improving before NE.
  13. If things continue as they have Stupar will be the leading receiver on the team and seems to be a pretty good blocker as well. Any way you look at it the cuts this year will be tough, this is the most talented team we've had in a decade.
  14. I Watched the game at 11pm . Peters is really out of shape, over 340#. After he gave up the two sacks he took himself out of the game, .... a quad injury. You could almost read the lips of the Eagle med. staff," whats wrong...? ( disgusted look)I don't know...he says his leg hurts.." as Peters sat on bench tongue hanging out the side of his mouth like a winded golden retriever. His face looks so fat I thought he was having an allergic reaction.. Russ... looks like you did the right thing. Also very surprised starters played most of 1st half.
  15. He looked really good on the running play he ran down from the backside behind the line to make the solo tackle, saved a BIG gain.
  16. Say hello to the soon to be "new cheapskate owner of the Buffalo Bills". Networth 1.6 billion and increasing, hometown East Aurora,N.Y. Still recalls Bills origins in EA and Knox farm training camps.
  17. Steve Tasker; I can remember being on the edge whenever he was on the field "expecting" he would make a game changing play each and every time, " he rarely disappointed". Regarding Tasker talent I think the team used him to "their" atvantage . Those teams had a lot of talent at the skill positions. Late in his career, when the offense needed help, Steve showed what a receiver/ rb he could have been for the Bills. He reminded me of a Wes Welker, Steve Crebbet (sp?) albeit Tasker was nearing the end of his playing career by then. Seems kind off discriminating to me that fans, players , media mouths are even having this conversation as Steve Tasker in his 14 years with the Bills had as big an affect on the game and its history than a great , great many players already in the Hall of Fame.
  18. For those who miss the live action,NFL network has 3 hr. replays of the game scheduled during the week starting monday .
  19. Anyone wish to comment on T.O.'s show episode where he goes to visit his Grandmother, estranged Dad and hometown folk. Could it be that T.O. is actually human , with feelings and newfound purpose. After watching it I felt even better about this year for T.O. and the Bills, the other 31 teams better get their popcorn ready!
  20. And Atlanta was happy with our cast off 209# LB Coy Wire. What's that about beauty and the beholder. Isn't this Ellison's third year? Traditionally when most players "really start to get it". Maybe our OLB's will look a little better with some pressure off the edges.
  21. Yes we have discussed this before, but I'm troubled the front office doesn't appear to be more pro active in the trade department. The teams still has room to improve at some spots and appears overloaded of starting or at least very good backup players on the roster at other positions. Needs are OLB, DE. We could improve at DT,OT. We appear overloaded at WR, CB, S. When I look at the depth chart I see some very good players getting cut if not traded this year.I know it takes two to trade ,but we haven't heard any whispers except for the dubious 3-way on bleacher-report. Waiting to fill a position in final cuts, or going with the what we've got ,doesn't show me One Bills Drive is all that intent on winning and it's more about making splashy news early to sell tickets.
  22. No, it was Donte. He and Cromartie were in studio for last nights NFL TOTAL ACCESS show.
  23. More next season line-up , unless Donte has a REALLY good year.
  24. Best receivers in NFL....Fitz, TO, Lee Biggest surprises in camp Ellis Lankster, Reggie Corner McCargo has a fire under his butt. Should make the playoffs, best team he's been on. Maybin is Quick Toronto is OK but hopes more Bills fans make the trip.
  25. Opening scene; Tony walking down "death row"followed by his life flashing through his minds eye!!!
