I'm hoping for the best from him. He was very close to a lot of sacks in the preseason, using just his speed. With some game planning , stunts ect. who knows. Getting a sack is great ,however it appears with the new "protect the QB rules" it can be a risky hit. Sometimes putting pressure is just as good if it leads to a bad throw or pick.

If we can get to the bye week 3-2, then I think we have a chance. The team would need to keep getting better week to week and be lucky enough to avoid injury to starters our poor depth can't replace.

I agree with you that they'll keep Brohm and put Levi Brown on the practice squad. Brown demonstrated against Detroit that he has a long ways to go before he's ready to play in a regular season game.
Foschi will be on the roster for 4 weeks, and then get cut when Shawn Nelson's suspension is up, assuming nobody get's injured in the interim.
It would be ironic if what you suggest happens to Chambers, considering what happened last season.
I'm sure the coaching staff would like to keep both Simpson and Hardy; I'm just don't see how they can do it without compromising too much in some other area.
I don't think they're going to keep Cory Harris. He didn't get any work with the 1s or the 2s in any of the preseason games I watched. Byrd is supposedly going to be ready within the first few weeks. Whitner and Wilson both have experience playing FS. As long as Byrd is inactive, Youboty becomes the "odd man in" in the Sunday 45, and would be taking reps at FS during the week too, I suspect.
I think they keep Ellison over Coleman, and put him on the practice squad instead.
So cutting Harris frees up one roster spot, which I think they give to Hardy. He's too "unique" of a prospect to give up on just yet, IMO. At least give him a chance to compete for playing time when he's actually healthy. With Jackson and Lynch relatively healthy, they already have one "extra" RB who will contribute almost exclusively on special teams unless two RBs get hurt at the same time during the season, so while Chad arguably played well enough to earn a spot on the roster, Bell played that much better and took that spot from him.

Do we get an exemption for Shawns first 4 on the 53??? I wasn't sure.Did Marshawn get one last year... who did we cut, I forget.

I haven't followed the Bronco's much this pre-season, anyone know if they have a TE OL LB they would part with thats worth a young 1000yd RB.

Like it or not I think Ellison is here another year ,
Moats might make the Practice squad if we don't pick up someBODY else
Chambers should be gone if we can find a warmBODY to replace him.
I could see us keeping Bell and trading you know who before the deadline.

Only my opinion, but having watched all 4 games from what I,ve seen he doesn't have the speed or quickness for this level of play. He may make the cut though because, well with current depth and LB talent the local dogcatcher could.

Hello, Buddy... what say a 6th or 7th next year for this guy in a trade, or maybe the Lions could use a DB. That way he never hits the waiver wire.

I hope we do something at TE, seemed like most of our run plays that went nowhere in preseason were because the TE got run over or missed the block.

Chan when asked about the 3/4 hinted we might be in the 4/3 defense more this year. My quess is he understands we still don't have the players to be a 3/4 team, but have most of the last few years 4/3 teams still on board.
Some might not agree but I feel our 4/3 defense last year was not the main reason we couldn't win, it was an offense that couldn't score.
Or he could have just thrown that out there so the Fins would have more to think about. Either way it says something about how he thinks.

Halftime review last night ...Sapp on the Int TD.
Not a great play by Drayton... well that's because the Bill's have nothing to lose, so he jumped the route.. or something very close to that.
Many other critique, when they all stand around and joke about how bad we are,with no upside.
One would think we've been 0-16 for ten years when in fact we've been more a .500 team.... don't get the hate.

How far back did you go? August 29th (which is less than a week ago) they seem to be catching up with each other. Futher back on CJ's I see one that says "@Sapp94 whats good homie?" I saw one tweet that says "you know I don't like you" but it appears to be joking around. 4 hours ago they exchanged good lucks. so needless to say I don't quite see your point in this thread.

Ricky was drafted by the Eagles, I believe they played together at Clemson.
If you go back thru their tweets to each other the past few months it seems they REALLY don't like each other.

I'm pretty sure if most of us had taken the hits Trent has taken with Stanford and the Bills we would be collecting disability checks.
I think he is a pretty gutsy player.
