From the workout video, it's clear he's not just a fat guy. You have to remember that Jason Peters came to us in a similar way, so there's some small chance Jasper could turn out to be a player although everyone should restrain themselves a bit - it's a small chance. However, guys like this do come along from time to time (recall Howard Ballard was an 11th round pick back in the day). It would appear the kid has a chance if he's motivated and can keep working. By the way, he's 6' 4" not 5' 6" as someone else wrote, and he played on both lines at Bethel, which may explain the confusion about where he belongs. I didn't see any facts on his 40 time, but seems like he prefers defense from what I read. I don't think anyone knows that until they seem him in camp. How about fullback - that would be fun to watch!
I recall something about a 5.6 40 time so he will at least be able to run down Tom Brady and Ryan Mallot...lol.

Looks like that is the route we are going to go
The top free agents and trade baits are probably not on our shopping list ( McNabb, Kolb, T. Smith,Boller,Palmer, ect) and beyond that the picking is pretty poor. We might have to wait till cut down time to find a viable backup.

we already have a developmental QB on the Roster (Levi Brown)
Don't most teams take 4 into camp.

#4 camp fodder or.......or maybe the best UDFA pickup ever.
A shoulder injury which he has not fully recovered from has limited his ability since injury, if he ever gets back to 2009 form ... well just check out the highlights. If he can' t play QB he has the size to play WR or TE too.

I hope he's the Best ever BUT I'm concerned with;
His stamina-how many plays can he stay in there for? and his ankles and knees, considering his weight.
I hope I'm wrong on both counts.
Well if he just stands in one place you'd have to take a taxi to get around him.

6th rnd coming up pretty soon, I'm all in. There is alot to be said for "winning",, roll tide.

.Searcy will improve our run D? That's funny, considering that outlooks say he 'shies away from run support.' Depending on DBs to stop the run, as this team has done, and from the looks of it, will continue to do for the near future, is a recipe to continue being 32nd D because you're getting your ass handed to you by the other teams' RBs / "mobile" QBs.
He most likely will be playing strong safety,a big part of run support on any team. As a SS who, started as a LB in HS, I doubt he will shy away from contact. He says he loves to hit. I think you may not be correct .

So from what I've read, He played WR for NC the first few games because of team suspensions, then rushed for 700 yrds before breaking his collarbone 3/4 threw the season. Pretty impressive to me.
-
so the kid sounds like a real physical db so this should be nice when he comes up to play the run.
As long as he doesn't tackle with his backside like Whitner!
-
Pre draft.. Nix" we need another offensive tackle."
During presser on Kelvin S...Chan...
" Our interior guards, tackles and center spots are pretty solid,we're not focusing there.
-
Sorry but if you can't make a sexual reference to an OL players name he will never make the cut here.
-
As the Draft approaches I'd like to share this thought with the board...,
"It's tough to draft in the NFL."
-
SORRY,...As much as Jimbo was to the Bills it was PAINFUL to watch that last season.

Just watched the show with all the QB's haven't, watched the individual episodes yet. Very telling, gotta love Gruden.
Cam sure comes across as a one year wonder gimmick player, Gabbert does remind me of a certain surfer dude,Mallet looks like a head case, But Dalton and Locker did show a little.
Add Ponder to that list of three in the 2nd and I'd be real happy.

. the team picking #1 next year .
could = Buffalo Bills
-
And Willie Totten. Kinda, sorta.
and
Marlin Briscoe kind of, we played him at receiver, can't remember if he ever threw as an emergency back-up.

I am curious, I know "Camp Fitzs" is about offense but Danny Batten's hometown is also Gilbert, Ariz. Any tweets that he may have attended the workouts. To me it would be kinda strange to have a bunch of friends over and not invite your bud from accross the street.

If Buffalo moved from 3 down outside the top 10, then there's a chance of nabbing an extra 2nd rounder, but now you've really put yourself outside the top tier of talent.
And if you believe what you say, that you can't fix everything in one year, why worry about getting an extra pick and missing out on an elite talent? Just get the best players you can get with the picks you have, and re-assess after 2011.
This years crop of defensive players show exceptional talent and there appears to be true 1st rnd ability thru the top of rnd 2.
The draft value chart what most teams use to fairly exchange draft slots shows the #3 pick to be worth 2200 pts. Washington for example would needs to give up it's #10 1300pts, #41 2nd rd 490 pts and next years 1st rnd which is unknown and is valued as a mid round pick at 1/2 value or 500 pts. This is a few points over but it is a sellers market, the Bills could sweeten it for them by returning a 4th rd pick # 99 or 125.
The Bills could still draft a stud defender that in other years might go much higher than #10, pick up a bonus starter at #41 Kyle Rudolph for example and use the 1st Rnd pick in 2012 as they see fit .I could see this play out with the Vikings as a partner also if Newton or Gabbert are there at #3.
-
Washington would be our best trade down , by the value chart we could get their 1st this year #10 and 2nd rnd #41 this year "and" their #1st rnd. pick in 2012.
I could see this trade happen .
My mock would then have us take Cam Jordan at 10,Martez Wilson at 34,Kyle Rudolph at 41,Dontay Moch at 68, CB and OT in the 4th rnd,and BPA after that.
Well it could happen....Go Bills.
Oh I forgot , Redskins then go 3 and 13 and we draft Luck next year.
-
If we don't take a QB early I wouldn't mind the Bills drafting Tyrod Taylor 5 or later.
We need to start looking at veteran free agent QB's

I think camp should be about checking out a few more UDFA QBs this year, mine for gold.
After cut downs players like Alex Smith, even Clausen ect might be there as a backup. Why sign some aged average QB for a backup, it's not like we're making a SB run this year.If Fitz goes down we'll be playing for "luck" anyway
