  1. Sorry man but your a little off base here. The old regime would of sat tight @ 9, took ODB & called it a day. That safe approach, not going for broke line of thinking has lead us to 14 non playoff seasons. I got to give the Bills credit, they went out & got the most dynamic player in the draft. Was it the right move? Only time will tell, but doing the same ole same ole crap that has been going on for the last decade + wasn't going to cut it & I give Whaley props for going out & getting his guy.
  2. I have heard the same thing. I have heard it is common thinking around the NFL that Brandon has been in way over his head & that there is no other team in the league that would ever consider giving RB power like he has in Buffalo.
  3. This whole thing is nonsense. It was common knowledge among his college teammates & I am sure most reporters that covered Mizzou that he was gay but big bad Michael Sam's had to announce right before the draft that he was gay. He knew exactly what he was doing. He knows he is a marginal NFL Talent (& that is even a stretch) & he was going to parlay his coming out to as many endorsement deals/exposure etc as possible & of course liberal Amercia ate it up hook line & sinker. If Fisher had any balls he would call Sam up today & tell him the Ram's organization has no time for 7th round picks that think it is more important to have a reality show then concentrate on football & tell him he is cut.
  4. I believe it was against Temple. I think 5 of his 10 sacks for the year came in that game. I was watching with my friend who is a Penn St alum that draft & he cringed when we drafted Maybin. Said it will go down as one of the worst 1st round picks in Bills history. Man did he nail that one.
  5. Congratulations, hope you have a great night!
  6. I agree with this. It all depends on where you view the Bills are at of how much you like this move. If you view them like I do in which they are playmaker on offense & if they could somehow get marginal play out of the QB position this year, they are a playoff contender you like the move. if view them like most of the outside medie does that they are several good offseasons away from being a true contender you probably think it was a bad move.
  7. I agree with this. You people are acting like Stevie is the guy that took us to the promise land. He has never been on a team with a winning record before. decent receiver but there is noway the Bills were bringing him back this season at his salary & his production. If they don't trade him my guess is he would of been a training camp cut. He will put up decent numbers with the 49ers & he is probably excite as hell to being going home. The Bills may get a 3rd for him whe it is all said & done & they get rid of a player that they were not to fond of all along dumping a pretty significant salary. I think it is a good trade for everybody involved.
  8. Agreed, the only game I was truly impressed with Mettenberger was in a loss last year against Georgia between the hedges. He was a true warrior in that game. But he was also playing with a chip on his shoulder that day since Richt kicked him off the team a few years ago.
  9. The one thing you do need to remember about Manuel is they traded back for him & got Kiko with that extra pick. This will be a big year for EJ. If he flames out this year more then likely the coaching staff will be out & he is going to be fighting for a roster spot next summer.
  10. Why, is it that big of deal? If some team was the named "The Fighting White Men" I would like to think I would be honored & would probably even route for them.
  11. Excellent points. Whaley & Marrone have got to be all in this year. Think about it. New Owner coming in, if they don't make the playoffs they are probably out. Just the way it is. With that being said I don't think they are going to lose much sleep if a player they want is there & they need to give up picks for next year. I would love to see Evans in a Bills uniform. For what the Bills need I think I would rather have him the Watkins either one would be fine with me though.
  12. Yeah that is what I figured. Clowney is the pick @ the one spot. I can't believe any team would think differently in this draft.
  13. When was the last time a LB went #1 overall? I can't think of any instances.
  14. Don't be surprised if they take the safety out of Alabama or the safety out of Louisville. This would be in a nutshell why the Bills have not made the playoffs. They always let a real good player walk(whether it was their fault or not Byrd walked) & they try to replace them in the draft. They have done this numerous times in the last 10 years. The problem with this is your just spinning your wheels & you never get better.
  15. Evans - Oakland Manziel - Cleveland Bortles - Jacksonville Clowney - Houston Mack - Tampa
  16. Give me a break, there is enough hotels in Buffalo to hold the draft there. Why does NYC get it every year? So we could all watch obnoxious Jet fans B word & complain how there picks suck every year.
  17. You guys are both wrong. In my extensive medical training/research I have come to the conclusion that eating healthy is noway to go thru life & that the medical field is only interested in lining their own greedy pockets. I am not a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
  18. Spot on. I only sat in the clubs 3 times but did not like it. My friend also has 4 clubs seats & anytime he tries to sell them, even for early season games he takes a bath on them. He had seats 20 rows up in 114 & he would have no problem selling those seats for well over face value for the games he did not want to go to.
  19. Agreed, Lee has more upside then Woods. Not a bad option to trade down.
  20. You lucky bastard, I love Vegas. Have a good time. It is hard not to in that city.
  21. The draft was kind of ruined for me when they switched it over to Thursday & spread it out 4 days. I will catch glimpses of it now but when it was on Saturday my friends & I would make a whole day of it, golfing in the morning, coming back to my house getting a keg, playing cards, grilling & betting on the NHL/NBA/MLB games. It was a fun day. Now I will flip on Thursday to see who the bills pick & probably won't watch more then 10 minutes the rest of the weekend. FU Goodell for ruining what was once one of my favorite sports days of the offseason.
  22. Sorry for coming off as a wise ass. Sammie is a special play, he is a pure playmaker, he is able to take it to the house anywhere on the field. Woods or Johnson for that matter just does not have this capability. Look there is going to be a new owner next year. The 5 year plan or the wait to next year plan is done. This regime needs to get into the playoffs this year or they are going to be out and they know it. So you may not see this team as a playoff team but they need to be thinking playoffs or chances are they are not going to be in Buffalo next year.
  23. You don't watch much college football do you? With that being said, this is too much to trade up for an unproven receiver. I think Watkins is going to be a good one but I think Ebron has just as good of chance to be good. Sit tight, grab Ebron @ 9.
  24. Wait on the tickets. When the Bills get off to their usual 2-7 start you will be able to get that same seat for half the money if not even less.
  25. No he could be a bust but ask any GM who they would rather have right now & they would all say Sammie Watkins. As far as Gabbert or Clausen, I was never high on either one of them especially gabbert, he was in a system that greatly enhanced the chances of pumping up the QB's #s yet I think he still only threw 17td passes his last year at Mizzou. That told me all I needed to know about him. Chase Daniels the year before playing in the same system threw over 40 tds.
