  1. I think part of Orlando is Miami market & part is Jacksonville. We go down every year in October to Orlando & the one year the Bills were playing at Miami & it was on the local CBS at our condo.
  2. This is an excellent point. I remember when we traded Evans & people were bithcing about it. Some poster made the point "we could lose just as easily without lee than we can with him." Now I am not putting 100% of the blame on Jackson but like it or not we didn't win nothing with him these last 8 years. Maybe management saw he was a declining player, with a big pricetag that was indeed part of the losing culture that has plaqued this franchis for the last decade. Like I said, I can't fault management on this one.
  3. Not for nothing but shame on the marketing department for M&T Bank. Not anybody there thought "hey Jackson is the oldest rb in the league, he might not make the team, maybe we shouldn't have him as the focal point for our ads." You think Billy B & the boys in Foxboro would give 2 craps about cutting a player because it might hurt one of your sponsors feelings? Yeah I didn't think so.
  4. What was so awesome about him? He got hurt early in camp. He came back had 40 yard + run on the first play of scrimmage from a hole so big I could of ran thru & then carried the ball 5 more times for a whopping total of 8 yards. I know it is hard, I know he is a good guy & a great community leader but Jackson was shot guys. He is delussional if he thinks he is going to play 3 more years. This year he would of been the third/4th back, would of been fighting thru nagging injuries all year & probably would not of dressed most of the games since he doesn't contribute on special teams like the other rbs do. I mean if you really look at all the angles, this cut actually makes a ton of sense.
  5. I don't get this. Why screw Doug Whaley if this is true? What did everybody expect. Jackson was in all likelyhood going to be the third back in this offense. There was probably games when he was not even going to dress. Whaley did his job. Sometimes GMs need to make tough decisions. All part of the job.
  6. 32 is not old for an NFL linebacker? I don't know about that one. Lawson has been around for quite awhile now.
  7. Why do you say we have no veteran on the team. Taylor is in his 5th year & Manuel is going into his third year. They both should be considered vets to somewhat of a degree.
  8. Exactly, I think the fumble sticks out because it was such a stupid fumble and cost us the KC game. However, when your head coach says referring to Brown " I will remember his name when he learns how to hold onto the ball." I think even the coaches think he has a fumbling problem. Jackson put the rock on the ground quite a bit the past few years. I am okay with the move, sad to see Fredex go. He was truly one of the good guys in the NF. Class act.
  9. You though Jackson was going to get more carries than Mccoy this year? Barring a major injury to Shady, there was a 0% chance of that happening.
  10. I don't either, he has a lot of upside if he could correct the fumbling issues.
  11. I would have held onto him for this year & then part ways with him next year. Tough business. I see both sides of this.
  12. This, RGIII is damaged goods but a lot of that falls on the mishandling of him. Noway Shanny should of played him in that playoff game. He was clearly not healthy enough. You don't treat your franchise guy like that & put him into harms way. What Gruden did to him in that preseason game against the Lions was disgusting keeping him in there & letting him take the pounding the way he did. What a joke.
  13. Nor did that dream come true for me either. However one night when we were in seniors in high school we were having a party at my friends house & me & two of my friends went to buy more beer at Wegmans & we saw our spanish teacher with one of her friends. Both these ladies were clearly intoxicated so we invited them back to the party & they accepted. We played quarters with them all night. Not one of us morons tried to make a move on either of them. It really is true what they say. if you could go back to your youth but you would know then what you know now man how things would be different. I still think back to that night with deep regrets.
  14. I quoted on here when JP was the QB that he wasn't the great teamate that everybody made him out to be on this board. One of the assistant coaches at UCLA when Losman was there said something to the effect of "we have 4 QBs on this team & there is no question who the least popular QB is in the locker room." or something to that effect. Losman was a jerk, I don't care if he did sweep up the streets of Buffalo. It was no mistake when Vincent "accidently" broke his leg in training camp. Yeah me too, the fight wouldn't of been close. Talking about a guy in Fletcher that came from John Carroll, earned everything he got in the NFL, was a true survivor to a kid that had every opportunity in the world, couldn't cut it at UCLA so he had to transfer to Tulane & as I have heard from several people inside one Bills drive started openly crying in the lockerroom one day because the pressure of being a starting QB in the NFL was too much. Yeah I will take fletch in a street fight with you.
  15. Yeah that is what they said back when I graduated too. I just lied on my resume & said I got a 3.6. . It worked out great for me. I know it is different now. I am just kidding around. Much more competitive than back then. Even my son, he is going into 6th grade. I swear he does more homework in 1 week than I did in 4 years of college. lol
  16. I hear wht you guys are saying & my oldest is only 11 but grades aren't the end all be all. I drank 6 days a week when I was in college & still got my finance degree with a solid 2.3 GPA. I got a job 2 months after I got out of college & 20 years later I am doing just fine. My point is don't blow off your studies, but it is important to have some fun too. In a lot of ways, if college is done right, it should be one of the funnest times of your life. Congrats to the OP! Job well done as a parent.
  17. All I could say is I actually went to the first home preseason game against Carolina & I could tell you there is nothing wrong with Taylor's arm. His balls had zip on them. Right now there is a reason why EJ is running with the scout team & that is because Cassel & TT have outplayed him in minicamp/training camp. This can not be disputed. Every report from the media that you here is that this is a fact. I laugh when you suggest that TT could never be a franchise QB but you give Manuel a chance to. There is not one thing on the football field that Manuel does better than TT at this point but your so certain that TT can never make it. With that being said I am a firm believer that they could win with any of the 3 QB's. I think the roster is that loaded & I have that much faith in our OC. I hope it is TT though. I think he could do things on the field that the other 2 QBs on this roster just can't do.
  18. That is very true but still don't blame the messenger!
  19. Hey I am just telling you why people still hold a grudge against Brandon. Don't blame the messenger.
  20. Deano, you need to read up on the Jets situation a bit more last year. He was definately a dead man walking. Wasn't consulted on any of the roster moves & Tannebaum underminded his authority in depleting the secondary(which in Rex's scheme he needs good DB's). He took the Jets to 2 straight AFC Championship games winning several playoff games on the road both year including beating NE in Gillette in the divisional round. Yet some experts point to that 2013 season as his best job coaching. To get that team anywhere near the .500 mark with the roster he had to work with was nothing short of miracle. Rex is a good head coach & I think he will prove that to everybody this year.
  21. Well Brandon is very good at what he does & that is marketing. But with that being said, people's issue with Brandon is that he no business or knowledge to make actual football decisions which he did for a few years. I think that is what people's problem with Russ is.
  22. I totally hear what your saying but remember father time is still undefeated. Can't play & be good forever. Brady's time is coming to an end. It may not be this year, may not be next year but it is on the horizon. If sports over the years has taught us anything is that this game is cyclical. You can't stay on top forever. All the great dynasties come crashing down sooner or later. It is going to be a whole lot of fun to watch the Roman Empire better known as the Patriots organization crash & burn when it finally does happen.
  23. Or maybe he just popped in the game film of EJ playing & put 2 & 2 together.
  24. I know a LT in the Buffalo Police force & he makes well over $100 grand per year with overtime. Believe it or not the police force in Buffalo & the surrounding suburbs are one of the highest paid police forces in the country. Go down south & the police forces are not making half that salary. + they get a decent pension after 20 years of service. Not that I would want to do it in Buffalo but not a bad gig if you could get a job in some of the safer burbs around Buffalo like Amherst/Lancaster/Hamburgh etc....
  25. Am I the only one that thinks it was kind of funny? In a lot of ways it is pretty good advice. If you have a crew you need a fall guy. People that are saying he should lose his jacket or be banned from the NFL should really get over themselves. Stupid thing to say. It is also stupid for the NFL to put a guy in front of a bunch of rookies who was a coke head & DB all his life & tell them how to act in the NFL. What was Aron hernandez or Ray Caruthe not available?
