  1. I don't know I guess I am an immature 45 year old but I think that is fuggin hilarious.
  2. Yeah my friends & I used to do some stupid stuff also at the Bills games when we were in our 20s. We got kicked out one time for peeing right at our seats because we were too lazy/drunk to go to the restroom(it wasn't me that did it, it was 2 of our other friends). That was at the Oilers Monday night game years ago in the 90s. Then we went to otto's after we got kicked out & my friend almost got the sh*t kicked out of him because he sat down at a table with 2 guys that he didn't even know & started eating their chicken wings. Being in my 40's now & a bit more responsible, the table thing & lighting yourself on fire, I do think is funny but I do shudder to think some of these people are probably driving home also. I also think it is only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured(paralysis etc.....) I can't believe the one video where the guy body slammed the girl over the table that she walked away from it not injured.
  3. I just actually had to get a new one for my inground pool this year. My old was 15 years old it was kind of corroded inside. It wasn't cheap, I think it ran me $3 grand or so. But 9 year old daughter will jump in the pool at any temp but my wife & my 14 year son won't go in the pool unless it is over 82. When I was a kid we used to go swimming all day in our pool & the water was never above 70 because my neighbors had a big willow tree in their back yard & the pool never got sun. You never heard my sisters & me complaining that the water was too cold.
  4. My son plays a baseball tournament every year in Rehobouth Beach, DE. My wife loves the area. She wants us to retire there. The locals tells us they get a dusting of snow a year, Says the winters a fairly mild.
  5. I have a pool, I usually open it the first week of May & close it the first week of October. The kids swim in it. I do have a heater though. My boss went over memorial day to visit his son in Dallas this year. He said it was brutally hot. Said you either had to be inside or be in water if your outside. No in between. He even said he sat out for 15 minutes on the patio one evening, had to go in because he was drenched in sweat. His daughter in law said she gets really depressed this time of year because the heat is so unbearable. She said it will be like this to after labor day. November & December in Buffalo get a bad rap around here. There are often times you could still see the grass until New Years. November is usually in the high 40's & 50's & December the temp is still usually pushing 40. We do get the occasional Lake effect snow storm in those months since the Lake is never frozen by then. The 2 months that piss me off the most around here are March & April. I often see Philly/NYC/Boston & even sometimes Pitts temps are in the 50/60s & we are still stuck in the high 30s. My son a few years ago had a tournament in Hershey for baseball. It was like the 2nd week of April. We drove there & it was weird, everything was brown, no leaves on the trees, no flowers blooming, & then we got by Williamsport Pa & it was like we entered a different workd, everything was green & 75% bloom on the flowers. it was really weird but just goes to show you that I think there is a major frost line & unfortunately WNY is on the wrong side of it.
  6. Over exaggeration that we only have 3 months of nice weather. May, June & so far July have been beautiful. August is also a beautiful month, as well as September & usually October(although we do get the unusual storm from time to time.) You mention October Surprise, which did suck, but I was golfing two weeks later. I would much rather have that then what your city had to deal with in Katrina. November & December get a bad rap around here. For the most part they are not bad. Yes we get pounded with a Lake effect snow storm that time of year but there are a lot of times I am still golfing in December & plus you have the holidays which makes the weather more bearable. The 4 months that usually suck around here are Jan - April. April is the most aggravating month for me personally. The weather should be nice by then but often times it stillin the 40's/low 50s. It seems once out of every 4-5 years we have a nice March/April. Talk about crazy, this year I believe April was the coldest April on record & this May was the warmest May on record. Talk about flipping the switch.
  7. Just out of curiosity why do you think the city is boring? We have way more stuff than most cities have imo. Great food, great bar districts, Casinos, one of the wonders of the world in NF, world class strip clubs, beautiful parks for hiking and such as Letchworth Park, excellent fresh water fishing, a beautiful freshwater Lake that is second to none for water activities, maid of the mist, jet boat tours, a beautiful museum. Sorry we don't have a drive thru Daiquiri Stand like the sh*thole you live in.
  8. Sorry to hear for your loss. Tough thing to go thru. When we were waiting in the vets office for my dog to get euthanized, a sense of terror came over her face when she saw the needle. She shrieked back onto my shoulder(she was a Pomeranian) when she saw the needle. That look of her's still haunts me to this day & that was 4 years ago.
  9. This is exactly how I feel about my life. Dumb luck/good timing & on the rare occasion making it look like I was busting my hump when I was still putting in minimal effort) has somehow gotten me several promotions at work. I would be a bit more aggressive with the ladies looking back at it. I also had a fear of rejection. I had a decent time with the ladies in my younger day but could of had a lot more fun if I was a bit more aggressive. My Spanish teacher in high school gave me hints that she was interested in me but I never pursued. I still kick myself for that one. yeah over the course of my life I have spent most of my money on Women, booze & gambling; the rest I spent foolishly.
  10. Anybody check on Lori? She must be devastated.
  11. It is a guessing game with the pool but over the years you learn a few tricks. What is nice now is we had a few trees around our house but they died from that ash disease so no leaves or anything get into the pool now & it is pretty easy to maintain. I did drop a ton of money on it this year as I got a new liner, new heater & new sand filter, The bill was over 7 grand for everything, but the pool looks great & the heater works awesome, so much better than my old one. Also I know you got a little one on the way, be careful with that pool man. It only takes a second once they start walking to fall in. I was nervous wreck about that until my kids got to be about 4 & they knew how to hold their own in the water.
  12. I do have some specific examples but I am really not comfortable sharing them on this board. Some of the stuff my friend told me was pretty bad.
  13. You are very observant. I have a friend in the marketing department over at Sabre's land, & she tells me they wanted to get Kane as far away from Eichel as possible, she said he was a very bad influence on him. That was a big part as to why he was traded.
  14. Yeah it looks pretty nice in WNY. Low 80s, a chance of a thunderstorm Sun/Mon but nothing crazy. Hopefully Kevin Occonnel is right for a change.
  15. Going golfing tomorrow at Byrnecliff & then got my daughter's softball at night(unfortunately I got to be there, I am the head coach lol). Then Saturday going over my sisters for a bit & then going up to Fox Valley for a late round in the evening with my son. Actually he is taking me out as a guest as I got him a junior membership there for his birthday this year. Probably stop off at Frank's on the way home for some wings & beer(root beer for my son he is only 14). Then Sunday, enjoying the nice weather, watching some ball games out on the patio, get some use out of the pool, going to grill some lobster tails & some ribeyes. My parents & my wife's parents are coming over. Going to drink all day & really tie one on. Looking forward to it. Monday just hang around the house & have a few beers while watching the ball games. Nothing crazy.
  16. I guess we could agree that we have different taste in women. I think she looks like the missing link.
  17. Janet Snyder was never hot, she thought she was hot & still does. Also I got stories from reliable sources on her that portray her as a pretty sh&tty human being. Her and old Rusty deserve each other.
  18. I usually have a pretty big party for the Kentucky Derby. It was a perfect storm this year as it falls on my birthday, it is supposed to be beautiful out Saturday (mid 70's & sunny) so it would of been perfect to watch baseball/derby on the patio & the kicker my wife is in Aruba with her friends until Sunday. It was all shaping up to be an excellent drink fest all day with me & my idiot friends. But alas...my niece & godchild is making her dam First Communion Saturday @ 6(it was supposed to be at noon & they changed it for some unknown reason). My mom has informed me that I am expected to be there so I guess the Derby is out for me. I am still ticked off about it. I don't follow or bet horse racing except for the Derby. I just play numbers. I have gotten lucky a few times & have hit the exacta. I will take a run up to OTB on Friday & put a few bets in. I will take your advice on the horses. If I win I will extend an invite to meet me up at Duffs by Eastern Hills for some wings & beer sometime this month. My treat.
  19. I think that was his thing, try to come off as a good guy but people that dealt with him closely knew a different side of him.
  20. I have been pretty vocal over the years to some ridicule how I have inner knowledge of what a sleeze Brandon was/is. My friend who has done some business with the Pegula's & knows a lot of people in both organizations could go all night & tell stories about what an underhanded used car salesman Rusty was. He told me one time that RB was pretty much fully responsible for convincing TP to run Ted Black out of the inner loop with his lies & exaggerations. He also told me that move inside the Sabres Organization did not sit well since most of the people knew what really went down. He also said Ted Black was a good honest man. He also told me a long time ago RB was a womanizer & would use his powerful to try to intimidate other employees. My friend said when TP took over, once the sale went thru his first order of business was actually to fire RB but somehow Rusty convinced him to give him even more power. He said he sold out a ton of good honest hard working people that didn't deserve in both organizations to convince TP of keeping him. Blaming others for his short coming. Shame on TP for listening, but my friend said old Rusty could be very convincing.
  21. I don't know man. I have watched him quite a bit & there are a few things that concern me. His accuracy & his ability to process information. Even at the senior bowl where he struggled the first half but played better in the second half he said something to the effect of "I started figuring things out on what defense was doing in the second half." Are you fuggin kidding me. These defenses in the senior bowl play a vanilla defense with no blitzing. If it takes him a half to figure that defense out, how is he possibly supposed to process a complex NFL defense with 250 pnd blitzing linebackers breathing down your ass. I got my doubts, I hope the kid proves me wrong.
  22. This reminds me of when the Bills drafted Big Mike Williams over McKinney. The smart money & the tape said to draft mount McKinney but TD was going to show everybody that he was the smartest guy in the room even though it meant drafting a lazy slob that never played on the left side before.
