  1. Like any of those guys are ever going to want to come here. I think first task is to build both sides of the line. You simply can not win in the NFL with the lines we have. Unfortunately you are going to have to that in the draft I believe. Hopefully they get a top 3 pick & either get Bosa or the Left tackle from Bama. That will be a good start
  2. Give me a break my man, Joe Montana in his prime could not win this game for us. The defense did look better in the second half but......Rivers dialed it down a bit knowing they basically just had to not turn the ball over & they would walk out with a win. Appreciate the effort man but you have a long way to go to reach Bill from NYC standards in the game recap.
  3. Absolutely, I don't feel sorry for these two clowns, they get what they deserve. They are the ones that ran all the talent off this roster.
  4. I will second this, pretty fun clean time tailgating there. The stadium atmosphere sucks because the setup in stadium sucks as the fans are so far away but it should be a good time out there Saturday, especially considering the weather. Hopefully they get a good student turnout tomorrow. This is actually a pretty big early season game in MAC.
  5. The thing that aggravates me is they created by their own stupid doings most of the holes on the roster. You don't give up on a good young left tackle like Glenn. Zay Jones is a bust. Why get rid of AJ, at least he is a veteran & could help guide Allen. McDermott/Beane are in over their heads & have no idea how to build a team, that much I am confident in. If Allen does not pan out, they will be fired after next season & they know it too. I hope it works out with Allen, I really do but I got serious doubts about him. He was not very good at Wyoming, I watched a lot of his games. Yes he had nothing to work with, but his accuracy remains a major question mark. Van Miller once told the one thing you can't teach with a QB is accuracy, either he has it or he doesn't. He told me that after Losman's first year with the team telling me "he will never make because he is not accurate enough." Keep in mind that was before he even took a meaningful snap with the Bills. That statement should scare the hell out of every Bills fan when it comes to projecting Allen's future in this league.
  6. Working from home & watching weather channel now. A lot of the modules have Flo making a left/west turn once it hits land so I think you should be good.
  7. Something very strange happened Sunday night. The opening line for this game was sent out at Bills +9.5. Almost immediately after the line opened it got banged down to Bills +7 meaning the prof gamblers are all over the Bills. I don't know how this talentless & heartless team could keep up with SD, but it tells me this game is going to be a lot closer than anyone thinks.
  8. if your in a flood zone & financing from a bank they require flood insurance. . This one look like it is going to be a direct hit. They said some areas could get over 3 feet of rain which is unbelievable. They said the problem is it is going to hit land & kind of stall for a few days. I would worry about the flooding more than the wind.
  9. That is very interesting. Not that I doubt but I went thru Saturdays games & the point spread only came into play 9 out 44 games. meaning the winning team covered in 35 of these games. I thought you were crazy to just bet money lines but looking at this past Saturday, your theory is dead on right. Scary thing to do though but still should payoff in the end.
  10. There are two reasons Whaley is not the GM anymore. Thru no fault of his own he got his legs cut out from under him over the RR hire. I have a couple of people inside the organization that have told that Whaley was dead set against hiring RR but was blindsided by Pegs & Rusty. Rusty wanted the hire because he knew it would sell tickets & Pegs is just clueless when it comes to running a sports franchise. What dysfunctional organization goes against the wishes of the GM when hiring a coach? I could name only one team & that is the Bills. Whaley built a strong defense that simply did not fit in RR schemes. This was no fault of Whaley. The second reason he is not here is he failed to land a true franchise QB. This is his fault. But looking back, he was not a bad GM & he is light years ahead of team mcdipshit in identifying talent. I am sorry but most of their personal moves these past two years have made absolutely no sense, but team Mcdipshit thinks they are smarter than everybody else. It is not only that they jettisoned talent off this team that was not necessary, but everybody they shot out of here was young. You just don't do that in the NFL. Why because they questioned the process? This team mya go down as one of the worst teams in NFL history & no I am not exaggerating.
  11. You don't watch a lot of college football do you? Allen is nowhere near to being ready & the people that watched him at Wyoming knew that. My guess is McDermott will play him the second half of the season when we out of playoff contention. Your completely wrong pal. Look at all the Long Tenured coaches in the league- one thing they have in common, they have had a good QB. NE - BB - Brady Pitt-Tomlin - Big Ben GB -Mccarthy - Favre/Rodgers Atlanta - Quinn - Ryan NO - Payton - Brees If you don't have a QB you don't have a chance in this league. Get with the program.
  12. Different time back then, NFL never got the coverage it did during the drought, also the deck was stacked more evenly with revenue sharing & free agency during the drought years so iot made even more embarrassing that this crap went on for so long. I am not a huge fan of Sully as I thought he kind of came off as a know it all but....read most of his articles from the 20 years on the bills. More cases than not he was dead on. Sometimes the truth hurts.
  13. I could already hear Gus Johnson announcing one of our games this year & when Peterman tosses the go ahead TD with under a minute left ole Gus will say "Drew Brees, Maybe!"
  14. I hate when people schedule their weddings on Labor Day weekend. Last year we got invited to my wife's friends daughter's wedding College opener. I told my wife I am not going, she was p*ssed & didn't talk to me for a few days but she got over it. My wife kept asking me "what do you want me to say to them why your not there." I told her "tell them the truth, I am watching college football, drinking beers & grilling on my patio with a bunch of my friends."
  15. Yeah in theory that sounds good but.... you & I both know if brees goes down, Bridgewater is not going to lead the Saints to the promise land. Bad trade for the Saints imo.
  16. Possibly but keep in mind Whaley never wanted to hire RR in the first place so he was undermine first. A GM should never be force to hire a HC he does not want. That is not how it is suppose to work.
  17. Nice! I always have a big College Football opener party Labor Day Saturday. Have been doing it for 16 years now. The one friend that comes over does pretty good the first weekend betting FCS/FBS matchups. Problem is they usually don't come out with the lines until the day before the game so not much time to do research. Noon Kickoff at State, I am sure the weather will be a scorcher. probably stay away from that one. Line should be right around 14. Money line would pay quite nicely.
  18. What are your feelings on JM opener against NC State. You think they could hang with them. NC State should be a 7 or 8 win team this year but from what all I read with JM, they are one of the best FCS teams in the country. Line hasn't come out yet but my guess is NC ST will be giving them at least 10 and possible more.
  19. There were two reasons why Whaley's tenure was a failure. He couldn't find a reliable QB & he was underminded by Rusty & the Pegula's with the Rex Ryan hire. It is really as simple as that. He built a pretty talented roster.
  20. My boss' sons friend went to Wyoming last year & he told my boss that Allen had absolutely nothing to work with at Wyoming. Said some games his top 3 receivers were walk ons due to various injuries. Actually said they would not of won a game 3 games last year if it wasn't for Allen.
  21. I called Friday & got absolutely zilch. I should say though that July my contract was up so I did call in April & they gave me $40 off a month for a year & free MLB package & I had to renew for a year so I knew it would be a dog fight. I told her to cancel ST so she did.
  22. Agreed, Auburn/Washington probably does have more national title implications but.....neutral site game, better atmosphere at South bend, & Michigan & ND are both supposed to be good this year although I believe Michigan is overrated.
  23. I will second the St Patrick's day thought. Went down there in 1997 for Paddies weekend, great time had by all. What a party they threw. It was fantastic.
  24. Towards the end of my season ticket run with all my friends some of the guys to switch to club seats. We had pretty good seats, section 108 row 22, towards the end of my run with all my friends & before I got season tickets with my son I was paired with my one friend. We just had two tickets. He would disappear after the first quarter & wouldn't return. I would always find him back at the car at the end of the game. I would always ask him where he went & he would have some stupid excuse. So it turns out that he was meeting one of my other friends sister who had seats in the club(both of them your married at the time) in the parking lot after the first quarter & they would get it on in the parking lot during the game. My friend who's sister it was found out about it(he was suspicious & followed them out of the game one time & caught them in the act & blew up at them & I haven't talked to the guy since. I thought it was kind of funny but my allegiance obviously was to my other friend who had the sister(he is one of my best friends) so I kind of swore off that relationship. I told my wife about it & I thought she would of thought it was funny but she was actually kind of disgusted by it. She actually wanted to write a letter to my friend's wife explaining the whole thing but I told her not too. Anyway, in short I don't think per say sitting by yourself at the game is a big deal but I think where that hurts is tha tailgaiting experience. I have always had 6-10 guys tailgating with me even though we don't all sit together.
