  1. Seriously, what are his strengths though. He can not read a defense, the coaches are scared to death of letting him throw over the middle, he is inaccurate on the medium range throws & he locks onto receivers too much. For as good as everybody says about his scrambling ability, he gets sacked an awfull lot. I do not understand the fascination with this guy.
  2. The problem with Losman's 4th quarter number are they are usually in garbage time. If you look at his stats for the Jacksonville game, you would of thought at least he played half way decent until you realize he only threw for something like 60yrds going into the 4th quarter. You could spin stats anyway you want.
  3. Totally agree, Edwards has alot to prove. I think he will but who knows. The comparisons are laughable though. Losman should of been head & shoulders above Edwards last year. He was outplayed by Edwards in Training Camp, was outplayed by Edwards in preseason & take away the 2 horrible weather games against Cleveland & NYG & he was outplayed by Edwards in the regular season. That giants game also, Edwards looked good for the 1st quarter & a half before the monsoon came.
  4. Very rarely are the circumstances ideal for a young qb or any qb for that metter. Players got to play thru it. The good ones will succeed, the bad one will fail. Losman has had his chance. Time to turn the page.
  5. No, then you transition him & you could match the contract that the market dictates for him. But you guys just keep making excuses why the rest of the league does not want him.
  6. You make fun of my posts & then you post garbage like this? Your willing to throw low to mid round draft pick after draft pick for guys that have proven they can not succeed on an individual level in the NFL. Crap like you suggest sets franchises back for years. Glad your not the GM of the Bills. BTW, your logic on not trading for a guy that has 1yr left on his contract makes no sense. Best case scenerio, if a team traded for Losman & by some miracle he lit the league up that team could place the franchise or transition tag on him. You still have not explained why they just could not tag him. It makes absolutely no sense that Losman did not get moved because of his contract situation. It does not surprise me though. Afterall, you think qbs should have 7yrs to prove themselves in the NFL.
  7. I read somewhere I think on monday in the buffalo news where it said the bills did not get one inquiriy for the availability of Losman. I would take that as the rest of the league does not view Losman in a favorable manner. How could they after watching 3 years of game film on the guy?
  8. Your logic makes no sense & you are assuming alot. How do you know JP will not sign an extension unless he is guaranteed to be the starter? How do you know alot of teams would allow him to compete for the starting job? I do not think there is a team in this league that as of today wants JP Losman to be there starting QB to open up the 08 season & I believe that theory was proven by the fact that the bills were unable to move him over the weekend & besides couldnt they just franchise him if his play warranted it. Im going to go take a nap now.
  9. Keep making the excuses. That what the losman lovers do best. A similar contract situation that did not stop Willis from getting traded or Henry. It says alot of how low the acedemic standards at Florida State must be to admit a moron like you in.
  10. What becomes laughable is that you & your cronies on this board actually think JP Losman is an NFL caliber Starting QB. Every team basically said no thanks to Losman this year, that they would rather have guys like Tavarres Jackson, Quinn Gray & Brodie Croyle then your man crush, but they are all wrong & your right. What a joke. The only bigger joke is the college football team you root for & the old bastard that coaches them.
  11. I always got the feeling sullivan was the kid growing up that noone picked on their sports teams & now he is just a bitter writer.
  12. Im one of Losman's biggest critics on this board but even I think this article was a little harsh. With that being said he made some points that I have been saying all along. There is not much of a market out there for Losman. If there was the bills would of certainly unloaded him. Also, Losman did call out the coaching staff, & worse called out Mr Wilson. Lastly, a player of his stature who has accomplished so little in the league should of really kept his mouth shut or his agent should of kept his mouth shut in the offseason. A guy of his stature should not demand anything & just consider himself lucky that he is still earning a paycheck in the NFL.
  13. Hardy came from a real rough background, had a bad family life. Dad left him when he was young & his mother was a drug addict. I heard in an interview he had that he started to get involved in sports because he did not want to go home after school it was that bad. My point is, the guy made a mistake, sounds like he learned from that mistake & it is easy for everybody just to make snap judgements on these kids without knowing what the whole story is or what they really went thru. I think he will be fine & he is in a solid organiztion to keep on the straight & narrow.
  14. You have to be an idiot & deserve to lose your money if you fall for that scam. First off, at least in NYS, they have these machines you scan the tickets in & it will tell you if it is a winner. Pretty much every store that sells lottery tickets has this machine.
  15. The lines right now, with the additions we have made, this is the best combination of defense & offensive lines we have had since the last time we made the playoffs. & I would take our current offensive line over the the oline the year we lost to tenn in the playoffs. Bill I know your upset, but Mckelvin really was a no brainer. Best value on the board at #11 & it was not even close. I still can not believe NE did not take him at #10. The only other guy that I would not of been upset with was Albert, but I think that would of been a bit of a reach, especially considering he is a true guard. As far as expectations, I expect him to start from day one, I expect him to become a shut down corner over time & I expect him to be a nice option from Parrish & TM in the return game. This pick was all good Bill, the way the draft fell, noone should be complaining about the 1st round pick.
  16. Well, although it has been rare, I have agreed with you on several posts. Im tired of the rebuilding talk, when is it going to end. The moves & the comments the bills have made this year indicate they are not in a rebuilding mode anymore. Adding a guy like stroud, drafting a guy like Mckelvin, who imo should be penciled in as the starter from day one of camp & even hanging onto one JP Losman(as insurance to Edwards) tells me Jauron & company fully expect to win this year. Add in what looks like a soft schedule(& I will admit noone really knows for sure how the schedule is going to shake out) & I think we could make the playoffs. Keep in mind with the schedule, the bills play 8 games against teams that were picking in the top 10(miami twice, jets twice, st louis, oakland, kansas city & san francisco). I know teams change from year to year, but just on paper, it does not get much easier then that.
  17. I agree with this. The rebuilding time talk is over. Barring major injuries, the bills need to make the playoffs this year & if they do not, one could only look no further for the blame then Jauron. Although, I do not think he is the moron you make him out to be, the NFL is about results, not 10yr rebuilding plans like we have been endured to. The way I see it, the defense should be top 10 this year. Adding stroud & johnson should open things up for everybody else. Your getting another 2 starters back in Poz & Simpson. As long as Mckelvin is not a holdout, he should be the starter opposite TM from day 1. Greer goes back to nickel along with Peterson/James. Make no mistake about it, when the Patriots brass decided to bypass the CB from troy, the bills viewed this as a gift from the football gods. This guy is anything but a reach. I suppose Adam would be happy if they went ahead & drafted Devin Thomas. I do not think they are at the level to compete with the Patriots, but I fully expect 10-11 wins this year & a wild card playoff birth. Anything short of that, & I think they are going to have to give some serious consideration into pulling the plug on Jauron.
  18. Mckelvin was a great value pick & as the receivers kept dropping & we got Hardy in the 2nd round, it is pretty obvious the bills made a solid choice at #11. The only other guy I would not mind seeing them take is Albert, but Im happy with Mckelvin. I never gave him much thought because I assumed he would be gone by the time the bills picked.
  19. I agree with this somewhat but you really can not compare an inground pool to an above. Inground's are just so much nicer. Above grounds are eyesores & they are really not that fun to swim in. With that being said, Rockpile is right, if you are looking as it as an investment to your house, it really does not add much resale value & some people will not buy a house just because of an inground pool. If you have little ones it is always a concern. My little guy just turned 4, our setup is pretty good though. We have our pool tucked in the left hand corner with a separate gate around the pool. Plus we have an alarm. Still, many of nights I have woken up worried about it as it only takes one time to make a mistake to change your life forever. Little guy is starting to swim on his own so hopefully in another year or two I will not have to worry about this. I would guess the maintenance is a little under $1k per year. We do have a heater but it is very expensive to run. Im guessing it adds about 5-10 dollars per day to run on your heating bills. With all the negatives, I love my inground pool. It adds so much to the yard, I bought a nice bar for it last year, & the weather was great last year so we basically hung out & had friends over just about every weekend. Alaska is right, I would go with the fiberglass. Holds the heat in better. Your probably talking if you want to do it right, with the stamp concrete around the pool about $30K - $35K for an inground. Hefty price for a pool season that usually only lasts from june to august. Last year was unusual, I remember we were swimming in it until the 3rd week of september. But usually once the nights get cool around late august pool season ends, unless you want to run your heater, which as stated above, is very pricey. Tough to drop that kind of coin with the weather we have in buffalo. To the above post, I can not really agree with you on comparing the neighborhood pool to your own pool. No where near the same thing. You have to share it with the whole neighborhood, where you have every little kid p*ssing in the pool. No thanks.
  20. What we should do is keep trading down as many times as it takes until we have the whole 7th round to ourselves. Then we could go any direction.
  21. Where can you get one of those? I would love to mount one down in my basement. & yes, Iam a gambling degenerate.
  22. The one thing I like about this schedule is that we are playing numerous teams that in my opinion are in full rebuild mode. Miami is in full rebuild mode, KC is in full rebuild mode, Oakland is in full rebuild mode, SF is rebuilding. I also think Cleveland is way overrated. They are getting way too much love right now. I have a feeling they are going to be the biggest disappointment this year. Their 1st 8 games are brutal.
  23. I agree with this post. Comparing Smith to Allen & saying that there is not that much difference in their sack totals is laughable. The Vikes paid a steep price & it could blow up in their face if he gets suspended but this deal has made them a better team. BTW, if I was the Vikings owner I would not think twice about paying for a 24 hour limo service to escort Allen around town.
  24. For all intents & purposes he has one year left on his contract. From my understanding it is his option to void the contract & their would be no reason not too at that point. With that being said, if the bills offer him an honest extension over this summer, something like 6yrs 35 mill - 12 mill signing bonus with another 8 guaranteed, there is no doubt in my mind that Evans signs that contract. The risk of injury in the NFL is too great to turn down that kind of guaranteed money.
