  1. THe priciest ones are I believe are 5 to 6 story units right on top of each other. They are pretty big though. I think they are about 2500 sq feet per unit. There are individual ones also, but they are not right on the water.
  2. Obviously, this is not the end all be all answer to stimulate the economy, but it does show that if you build a nice place, people with money will be willing to move to buffalo instead of the suburbs.
  3. I believe the ones right on the water our going for between $250K & $350K. The ones a little ways from the water our going for $150K - $200K. Certainly not the price of a midtown condo in Gotham, but not chump change either.
  4. Okay, maybe I do take it personal. & maybe WNY'ers are thin skinned but I think alot of this has to do with people, most of who I might add that have never been to WNY, from around the country seem to take a cheap shot at buffalo every chance they get. I do not see other cities on a national scale getting made fun of the way Buffalo does. Why, because we had one snow storm in 1977?
  5. I dont take it personal, I just do not like it when some loud mouth know it alls that were not smart enough to hack it up here & find a decent job in WNY telling us how much our lives suck because we live in WNY. Believe it or not, some people do actually like living up here & some people actually do make a decent living up here & have good jobs.
  6. This coming from a guy that is infatuated with a girl that will never know he even exists. Keep up the good work loser.
  7. I will say this once again, if you guys have so little respect for this region why do you root for a football team that represents WNY? As for Buffalo, they are doing some nice things here whether anybody wants to believe it or not. They are developing the inner harbor, they have built beutifull condos in the small boat harbor, & they are building more. I just talked to the foreman on the construction site & he said the condo complex they are building right now is sold out(has not been finished yet) & that they are going to start another one next year. They are scheduled to blow up the aud I believe in October & as I look out my office window, they are building the new casino as we speak. They had a picture of what it is going to look like with the Bass Pro, Casino & the rebuilt inner harbor when it is finsihed(I believe in 2011 or 2012) & it looks very nice. Hopefully, this will spur some more restaurants & sports bars also. Things are definately looking up though imo.
  8. I take it growing up you did not have a great childhood?
  9. Umm sorry to break this to you but actually the average NFL ticket is well below the ave price of $180 for the toronto ticket. The average highest NFL ticket is as of right now $90(patriots), well below what toronto is asking for. Why dont you get your fact straight before you start shooting your mouth off.
  10. I agree, you will never see that kind of return in WNY. People just do not make that kind of money here. But what I found interesting in that article was the increase in foreclosures in different cities in the last year. In places like buff/roch/syr foreclosures went up a modest 5-8%. There were places in Calif, florida, Boston that foreclosures were up over 200% from 2yrs ago. If you think about that, that is mind boggling. I believe Calif is a walk away state where you could just simply walk away from the property & the bank can not go after you for the difference so I imagine that is what alot of people did. But still, that is a crazy increase.
  11. They actually had an article on CNN the other day. They listed 10 housing markets that have not really been affected by this country's mortgage crisis, that the values have actually have stayed steady or have increased over the last few year. You know what three of the markets were? Buffalo, Rochester & Syracuse.
  12. Depends on what you are looking for. Tunnel endzone without question IMO is the wildest section in the stadium. Unlike the other endzone, where you get some visiting fans, the tunnel ez I suppose because of the cheap prices are mostly season ticket holders. When the action is coming at you or down that way, there is probably no better seat in the stadium. If most of the play is at the other end, your going to be watching the jumbotron to follow the action. If your young & like to party & dont mind the drunken rowdiness(hey your at a football game) I say get them there. There are alot more fights at the other endzone due to the visiting fans then the tunnel. & for that kind of money, how could anybody complain. Best deal in the NFL imo.
  13. You will not be disappointed. That is the section where I first got my season tickets. They are not bad seats. You could see the scoreboard clearly, just have to turn your head & you could see the whole field. I did not sit as high as you(I think I was in row 5), but overall not a bad place. Are there better seats? Sure, but as a first time season ticket holder, if you did not want to sit in the upper decks, you would have a tough time getting your hands on them. I have had season tickets for 12 years & I have only gotten 2 upgrades. Im down in section 108, which is not too bad.
  14. Michigan is going to be bad this year & I mean really bad. If anybody on here bets college ball go against big blue the first few weeks before the lines are adjusted. I will tell you right now, they open up with Utah at the Big House & they probably will be favored by 10pts just on rep alone & the gullable betting public of laying coin on the favorites. Bet the mortgage on the Utes. They are going to go in there & put the lumber to them kinda like G tech did last year in the opener to N Dame in south bend. N Dame was giving them 5 btw that game. Lost by 30.
  15. Im not trying to give you a tough time but wasnt Gerrard LIke a 4th round pick. Poor comparison. You can not draft a guy in the first round & expect them to sit on the bench for four years especially for a guy that you gave up multiple draft picks for. Noway when Donahoe drafted him his mind set was, "well this is a project, we wont see this guy on the field until 2008.
  16. One more thing, my guess is if he was not hurt in his first year, when the bills seemed out of the playoffs at 2-6, my guess is he would of seen the field then & they would of benched Bledsoe at that time.
  17. This is what I do not understand. You think in year 5, JP's last yera under contract he should be just getting on the field now? No team in the league drafts a 1st round player at any position with the mind set that we will pay them a first round salary, have the player sit on the pine for 4 yrs while learning how to play the game & then in his last year of his contract, in year 5, lets give him a shot & see how he does. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of on this board & that is saying something.
  18. Thanks for the offer. I have season tickets. The guy told me that June 4th, premium seat holders could get up to 6 tickets per account & then june 5th & 6th regular season ticket holders can with june 7th the date you could buy as many as you want. Im thinking the cleveland game is going to be sold out before the 7th though.
  19. Thursday morning Im going to my third funeral of a close friend whose dad has died of lung cancer within the last year. All three of my friends dad's were in the late 50s & all three were longtime chain smokers. I never smoked, never really had the urge so I'm not going to pretend I know what you guys are going thru. Just want to wish you good luck, keep at, you guys could do it if you are committed & put your minds to it. If the drug helps & you are carefull monitoring the side effects I say go for it.
  20. Right now it is 69 & sunny in buffalo. According to the weather channel it is 34 degrees & cloudy in Nelson, NZ, so FU buddy. Although, I suppose this time of year is your start to winter right.
  21. Some valid points. Probably not fair comparing preseason games because of the difference in competition they played against(1st stringers compared to 3rd or 4th stringers that are not even in the league anymore). As far as training camp, I guess I should of stated the practices I went to(I went to 3 of them). Edwards looked better running the team. I dont know what else to say. As far as your last comment, I think that is part of the reason why the coaches were so quick to pull the hook on JP. Because they did see Edwards practice & look more competent then losman for the better part of TC & preseason. Just a guess on my part though.
  22. The guy at the ticket office told me June 5th & 6th you could buy 6 tickets per game for each season ticket account & on june 7th you could buy as many as you want.
  23. Thanks. Went to the derby saturday with my dad & my brother-in-law. Awesome time. I always wanted to do it & Im glad I did. Nothing to special planned today. Liver is kinda recovering from a weekend of boozing. Probably just go out to dinner with the wife & the little guy tonight.
  24. Look man, I have had season tickets for 12 years. I pretty much go to every home & usually 1 away game per season. I just want the team to win. If Edwards gets hurt & Losman comes in & plays well & leads the team to victory I will be the first one on here to apologize for my comments. I just do not see it happening though. Im of the opinion if Edwards goes down for any length of time for more then a game or two this team is in deep sh*t.
