  1. Like I said, I will bring this post back up around draft time, if I am wrong I will admit I am wrong & if your ever in Buffalo & decide to come to a Bills game you & your friends could have a free tailgate on me, but if your wrong I fully expect you to change your major to "the Fine Art of Basket Weaving".
  2. I remember ESPN & it was either Mcshay or Kiper; I think it was Kiper that said Bradford is the #1 qb but by the end of the season that he expected Snead to be the top qb coming out in the draft. You could believe me or not, but I remember him saying this.
  3. Okay, now you lost all credibility with me. Good footwork, are you kidding me. He had horrible mechanics & BTW, still does. All you needed to do was watch the bills the last 5 years to see this. Alot of his accuracy problems were from the fact that he never had proper footwork/mechanics. & he did not fail because Buffalo had a bad system & bad coaching, he failed because he is a ****ty quarterback.
  4. & BTW, never say never, if guys like Losman & Boller could get drafted in the first round anybody could. Losman had terrible mechanics too, was inaccurate & had horrible footwork coming out of tulane, plus word was he had an attitude problem, did not stop us from taking him in the first round. Why, because the guy could throw it 70 yards.
  5. Like I said i do not like him but I could see some of the scouts get enamored with his arm strength. I am no scout, but I watch about as much college football as humanely possible, & I know alot of draftniks going into this season had Snead as the #1 draft prospect among qbs. He had a bad season, it happens, but he has all the tangible assets that teams like when your talking about qb prospects. He is big, he is fairly mobile & he has a good arm. I do not know what else to tell you. I think he is going in the 1st round.
  6. Remember this conversation around draft. We will see who is right.
  7. i am not saying I like him, all I am saying is that when he gets to the combine & is able to throw in controlled conditions, the scouts are going to be impressed because this guy has a live arm & his stock will go up. My guess is some team will take him in the first round. I just hope it is not the Bills.
  8. I am fairly confident the BCS got it right this year. Bama was the best team. I really do not think Boise St would come within 2 tds if they played Alabama. As far Colt Mccoy goes, I really do not think it would change the outcome if he played. I mostly feel bad for him though, he is one of the true competitors & a class act & it must of killed him to be sitting on the sidelines not being on the field. The one hope Texas had of winning this game I thought was if Mccoy had the game of his life, kinda like Vince Young did in 2005. It is a shame his college career had to end like that.
  9. I agree, you watch when the combines come, scouts are going to be wowed by the fact that this guy could make every throw on the football field. He has the tangibles that the scouts love & will drive his stock up. I am not crazy about him, because I would of liked to see him produce a little more on the field. I am sick of the allstar gym rat QBS (Rob Johnson/JP Losman) guys that look great in shorts & tee shirts but when the pads come on & the bullets are flying for real crap their pants because they do not know what to do with the ball half the time. I put snead in this category.
  10. I came home last night from the bar after watching the Bama/Texas game. Let's just say I had a few pops in me & wouldn't you know it my wife was still up. She starts telling me how she really wants to go to Vegas too & wants to go with me & my friends. Being in the buzzed up state that I was in & being in a good mood since I had $100 on Bama, I seriously started to consider it. Luckily I passed out before I shot the words out that she could go. This morning, having a more clearer head, she asked me again & I said what any loving , caring husband would tell their wife in a similar situation. I said "what are you out of your f*cking mind?!??" My friends would of never forgave me.
  11. Thank. Yeah I was pretty sure they all gave you free drink tickets but like I said I usually only went to harrah's so I thought i would ask. Probably just stay at the MGM if they have a nice one. Maybe because I only go there once a year but I prefer the strip, not really crazy about the old downtown area. I could see if you were a local though, the strip would probably get tiresome & would be the last place you would want to be.
  12. Okay, as some of you probably know, I usually go to Vegas for Super Bowl. I usually go with my father-in-law & some friends & we since my FIL gets comped we always stay at harrahs. We always hang out at the sports book there. it is not the greatest, but it is good enough & serves our purpose. This year, my father in law is not going due to him having recent surgery. Four of my friends & I are going & we are staying at MGM. My question, what sports book is a good one to go to. I have been to Vegas a bunch of times but I usually end up the majority the time at harrahs since everything was comped thru my father in law. Also, at Harrahs, I would put about 5 bets in at a time usually between $50 - $100 & tip the guy a few bucks & he would give me 4-5 drink tickets. With the way my friends & I drink & since I will not be getting comped thru my father in law on this trip, it is essential that the sports book gives you drink tickets when you put your bets in. Any suggestions would be apreciated.
  13. I doubt he will ever be the coach at michigan. He said some deragatory things about their admissions/academic standards & even though he is one of their own, the boosters at the big house do not take too kindly to words like that.
  14. You could fix the defense with 2 moves in the draft. Take Mcclain with your first pick & cody with your 2nd pick. Trade up if you have to. 2 Bama boys & 2 players that will knock you into next tuesday. Get these 2 guys & your defense is top 15 possibly top 10 next year. Worry about the offense in year 2 of the rebuilding project.
  15. They are different. You do not get as many fox sports channels as you do with direct tv. This may not be a big deal to most people, but it is if you want to watch Pac 10/Big 12 basketball/football games. There is other stuff too, like the ticket, the march madness tournament that dish does not offer.
  16. Yeah, I like direct tv too much. They offer so much better sports packages. I always get the NCAA March madness package, which I absolutely need. My brother in law has dish & I just do not think it is as good as DTV, although it is cheaper.
  17. I highly doubt I will get the same deal. A day or two later after I got my deal someone posted that DTV was starting to get wise to it & they were not offering as good of deals. I will try it again, hopefully they do not call my bluff & go tell me to f*ck myself & switch to dish. If they do that I will probably hangup on them & pretend like I never called. I drop over a grand on 2 season tickets so I am really not compelled to drop another $350 on something I will only use 6-7 sundays per year. I got to admit though, it is going to be tough to going back & only getting the regular network games next year.
  18. Before the season started I took Skooby's advice & threatened to cancel & switch to Dish Network. It took some arguing but the guy ended up giving me the Ticket for $150, plus the HD for free, plus & here is the kicker. The guy also gave me a $20 credit per month for the next 12 months. So basically they ended up paying me $90 for the ticket($150 - $240 in credits for the year). it was a great deal & I could not believe my good fortune. Skooby took alot of ribbing, mostly by the arrogant way he handled himself in a few isolated posts, but I always thought the way he was treated here was unfortunate & he did not deserve it. I go to the games so the ticket really does not make sense to get for me since I am gone for 1/2 the season but with this offer I could not refuse. I also watched alot less bills games as the season progressed & more other games from around the league when the bills were on the road.
  19. Welker was not a dud before he got to NE. In fact I think he caught 60 + passes his last year in Miami or about 20 more catches then Evans had this year. I do not like him, because he looks like a cocky little prick, but the guy is a football player & a competitor in every sense of the word. I wish the Bills had more players like Welker on the team. Actually , I wish the bills had A PLAYER like Welker on the team.
  20. Yep that is what we do best. I wonder how Biscuit is going to react when they announce Cam Cameron as our next HC. I do not even think he could put a positive spin on that one.
  21. I know 2 couples that their marriage ended in divorce thru facebook. The one guy at my work & one couple at my wives work. In both instances, the wives got reconnected with an old boyfriend thru facebook, started seeing them behind their spouses back & eventually left their husbands for their old flame. In the case of my friend at work, his wife left him & they had 3 little kids. left them too. Nice huh?
  22. I remember when NE was running thru the league on their quest for perfection & Welker caught a td from Brady when the Pats were up 46-7 against Washington & Welker spiked the ball right in front of the beaten cb like he just caught an overtime td pass in the super bowl. Ever since then I lost alot of respect for him. F*ck him, he tore his acl & mcl could be career ending, doubt he will be ready for the start of next year. I do not like to see injuries, but sometimes payback is a B word.
  23. I really disagree about the weather being a factor. Look at the home games this year every game was pretty nice weather. The opener was 78 & sunny, NO was 75 & partly cloudy, Cleveland was 64 & Partly sunny, Houston was 58 & partly sunny, Miami(thanksgiving weekend) was 58 & sunny & NE was 28 & partly sunny. This sunday the weather looks rough(as it does in every other northeast city) but the weather gets so overblown from out of towners. Bottomline, for most of the football season, Buffalo has perfect football weather.
