like others have said, shame on you if you don't do this. You play to win, and with waivers, its a pretty balanced system. If you get the player, you earned them. I have something like 24 moves in my league right now, and I would say the majority of them are picking up guys like Rashad Jennings, Andre Brown, Ramses Barden and Domenik Hixon, to name some from early this season. This past week, I picked up Jalen Parmele. He will sit with Beanie Wells on my bench, with no intent on playing him over Ray Rice or Alfred Morris ever. But its better he gets points on my bench than someone else's starting lineup. Final example, I have had Cecil Shorts sitting on my bench since about week 3 (my WRs are Colston, V. Jackson and Nicks) with this being the first week I have considered actually starting him as a flex.

No, that's only two thoughts that should have been separated by some form of punctuation. The first part of that same post, by contrast, had no less than 6 ideas in it with only a single comma.

On Twitter, you're limited to 160 characters. On TBD, you aren't. So do your fellow posters a favor and use punctuation. It makes it easier to read.

ESPN lists the top player contract bargins and Byrd is there
JM57 replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe he is an SS. Wilson would play FS in event of a Byrd injury -
-
He makes far too many mental mistakes for someone with so much ability
-
If they're going to lose, the best game to lose would be Seattle. The second best would be St. Louis. Keep that conference record as good as possible. The absolute worst loss would be this week against Indy. You're likely going to have to beat them in a tiebreaker.

Colin Kaepernick [get 'er dun!]

I feel like this team is better, talent wise, than the Jauron era teams. Probably for good reason. There was no Marcell Dareus (sophomore slump aside)-Kyle Williams-Mario Williams trio on the D line. There was no hope for keeping young, promising players like Gilmore, Byrd, Levitre, or Stevie past their entry contract because of "the market". And I surely didn't feel like the team was only 4 or 5 starters away from true wild card contention during the Jauron era. But I do feel that way now. I am not a huge Fitz fan, but I think this team COULD make the playoffs with him at QB with a few more upgrades. I don't remember the exact rankings, but I believe the offense is around 15th in the league right now. If the defense could be in the same area, this team would be in contention this year. With a top 10 defense, they are definitely in even with average QB play. Two LBs are needed. I hope this comes down to one as Sheppard makes a big step in his 3rd year in the league. Not everyone can be Patrick Willis or Demeco Ryans and dominate as an MLB right off the bat unfortunately. A veteran CB to play opposite Gilmore would also be nice. Someone calm and steady. doesn't need to be all-pro, but not washed up either. An upgrade at SS over Wilson, whether that is Searcy or a FA would also be nice. Add another year together, even in Wannstedt's vanilla scheme, and you might have a talented D that jels as a unit and really plays well.

If your endorsement of Gabbert isn't damning of your judgment of talent, I don't know what is, BB -
Here is my prediction for the next 5 weeks. The Bills go 4-1, getting themselves to 8-7 and a likely crucial matchup vs the Jets in Week 17. Despite the Jets playing Tim Tebow and starting some backups in a desperate move to evaluate their depth heading into 2013, the Jets absolutely crap all over the Bills, who are then eliminated from playoff contention.

Looks too much like her dad?

If I were Wannstedt, I would make sure Gilmore follows Reggie Wayne every play. Let McKelvin cover T.Y. Hilton; he may be the only DB who can run with him. DE's need to contain Luck as much as possible. I haven't seen much of the Colts this year before yesterday, so I don't know how good their OL really is, but I feel confident at least KW if not both DTs can generate pressure from the middle. This is a team whose run game is very average. Its the play action that will kill the Bills if their LBs are over aggressive

I had them at 6-4 at this point in the season
JM57 replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
5-5. The Titans game was where it went against my predictions. But I was hoping they could pull off a W in one of the Pats games to get to 6-4. -
8 dollars and change BEFORE taxes. Stock up before you come to NY brother. Also RWS is completely smoke free this season, I believe. I don't know how that applies to offical parking lots though, you would have to ask someone else.

The more I watch of him, the more I like. Saw Dilfer compare him to Flacco earlier on Twitter. Can't complain about that. Early 2nd would be ideal

Yeah, I can say after working for 5+ years in a grocery store that this is just the prevailing method of parenting now. Kid cries or whines or screams, parents ignore it until it stops. I don't know who came up with it or why, but I would like to give that guy a nice kick to the gonads. I understand that as a parent you don't want to placate a child every single time they cry or cause a fuss because that results in them doing it more often to get the attention. You can let them cry all you want in your own home, vehicle, etc. But please for the love of God will you shut your child up in public and stop ruining everyone's day?

The Bills going GANGNAM STYLE in Toronto

Not sure if serious or trolling -
This thread was made after the New England game, pal. Are you dense or did you just not bother to check when the thread was created or see how many other posts almost exactly similar to yours were on the previous 6 pages before you came in here to rant and rave?

Fitzpatrick on Spikes: 'I think he's a punk at times'

Not officially released to the public until Friday. Beat reporters may leak it out earlier if players mention it in interviews, a la Kyle Williams -
Thread for intelligent football dicussion
JM57 replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought this was a thread for INTELLIGENT football discussion but this thread is filled with mostly the same drivel as all the other threads. You can't TEACH clutch. That's something you have or you don't. Its one of those "intangibles" everyone b**ches about hearing around draft time. Eli Manning is clutch. Derps along for 3 quarters but is superhuman down the stretch. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees...all elite, but also clutch. You can't instruct someone on a weekday how to lead a game winning drive and react to the atmosphere and shake off the nerves and whatever. That's just something people have a knack for. Nice post here. I definitely don't think Fitz is the biggest problem on this team. That would be the defensive scheme, followed by CB2, the LBs, and SS, THEN QB. This team is 3-6 and scored 31 and 35 points in two losses where Fitz actually played well, up until those last throws to the McCourty twins. However if the DEFENSE DIDN'T ALLOW 38 OR 35 POINTS....he wouldn't be throwing in that situation. They shouldn't have to rely on him to win games because he definitely isn't that type of QB. If this defense was just average, they could be 5-4 right now and sitting pretty as long as they won the majority of games down the stretch. I just hope that Buddy uses some good judgment when it comes to filling the remaining holes on this team. CBs have a longggg learning curve in this league. don't draft another one to throw into the fire immediately. Find a vet to play opposite of Gilmore. Maybe Aaron Williams or DaNorris Searcy will be the guy who can play better than Wilson at SS. Same thing with your LBs. Maybe Sheppard makes that big step in year 3. If not, have a veteran who can slide inside there. Its not often you find a rookie LB outside of round 1 or 2 that can walk right in and play without being exploited.
