Definitely just a stepping stone job if he proves to be a good recruiter and coach. Many have done it at other mid majors though and it is good for those programs.
Consistent you say? How about 14 games in February and THREE POINTS? I will even throw the guy a bone and add in the first 5 games of March....19 games, 7 points.18 games with 0 points.
Not to mention his soft play and then blaming his teammate for that go against Washington last week where he didn't even bother to move his feet off the draw. Way to lead by example pal.
Still dead. They have more games played than just about everyone else. NYI already jumped them. Washington will with a win or the Rangers will move into 8th with a win and be up 4 with a game in hand.
Not to mention they like to give up loser points to the teams they are chasing. The worst thing this team could do is another run to 9th place.
They are desperately in need of top end talent on the roster. Vanek is the only top 10 pick they have had in recent history. Hodgson was #10 as well I believe. But the lack of top end talent shows.
Stafford and Pominville are complacent and invisible (always, and for stretches, respectively). They need a culture change.

Should be an interesting game tonight since the venue is only 40 mins from Berkeley. Don't know a ton about the Bears. They're not a big 3pt team are they?
As in...they would need a bad performance by Cuse to win as opposed to just a hot night from behind the arc?
Because Quinn has that program at its ceiling unless something drastic changes. What Turner Gill pulled off was nothing short of a miracle.
Without more funding and better facilities they're never going to lure better recruits in. Why on Earth would you want to attend a school with a giant sprawling impersonal campus, terrible weight room, terrible stadium, terrible amount of fans and no indoor practice facility when you're being offered better from other schools?
Edit: let it be known I would love to see them succeed. But its going to take a big private donation to boost the program from the depths of D-I
And a revelation this morning: Both Mikhail Grigorenko and Stefan Matteau were on NHL active rosters for over 23 games. healthy scratch games also count and thus DID accumulate a year of service toward UFA.
And tell me what role you see Kyle Moore playing in a Ravens style D? He's a one trick pony average pass rusher and terrible in run support.
McIntyre....you can find a FB for much cheaper. They're a dying breed.
I'm warming up to the idea of Barkley as the process goes along. If his arm isn't Manning strong, so what? Hackett's running a WCO and that's what Barkley is supposedly best suited for right?
I believe Bulldog...or that D-bag he hosts with that has no interest in football or hockey but is still somehow employed by the only sports radio station in a football and hockey only town....mentioned Pace yesterday in the same respect.
