  1. All he needs to do is what he did last week. 200 yards and 3 solid drives. Let the run game do the heavy lifting and if the defense doesn't allow 480 yards, its a W
  2. Loved the shot of him on the bench still holding on to the ball. You know he wasn't letting it go til the equipment lackey came to pack it away for him.
  3. Point #2 is true. Their postseason dominance all came before they got caught. Funny isn't it
  4. Unpopular opinion: Bill from NYC is a pretty solid poster overall but his transparent and strange hatred for Gilmore makes me question everything. Its weird and too bad.
  5. This team *seems* different. A victory this Sunday is the difference between real and artificial progress
  6. Kiko Alonso is a good player but all this Legend stuff is weak as f...
  7. Oct 1 2013 - LT Jonathan Martin has allowed four sacks and eight quarterback hits and seems to struggle at times. Overall, he has been OK, but clearly allowing four sacks in four games points to pass blocking issues.
  8. Because with all those high picks, they never got a franchise defenseman AND failed to develop, sign, or trade for a good goalie. Except for that Justin Schultz kid they signed last year who had a lot of hype after he refused Anaheim's contract, I couldn't name a D-man on their team if I tried. Meanwhile they're spending about 1/3 of their cap on Hall, Gagner and Eberle with Nugent-Hopkins due for a raise
  9. You realize he just QUIT THE TEAM right? Not only quit, but quit mid season. Pass.
  10. If you draft in the top 3 or 4 its really REALLY hard to mess up. Not counting the 2012 or 2013 drafts because they're still so young and not all in the league yet, I had to go back to 2007 to find a guy drafted #1-4 overall that would be considered a disappointment (Thomas Hickey-LA, #4 overall) 95% success rate isn't so bad.
  11. 4th and 1 should be converted roughly 75% of the time. Play calling play calling play calling
  12. I see this simply as a matter of the FO and coaching staff deciding "Jeff Tuel is not ready to play in this league right now." That, to me, is the definition of a practice squad player but for some reason unbeknownst to all of us, they are worried sick that trying to get him to the PS will result in losing him. I think that Flynn is 100% a move to bring in the "veteran backup" just in case. Worst case scenario, he is #3 behind Lewis and Manuel when EJ returns. But at least until then, you have someone behind Thad who is semi-capable of playing NFL football and not completely subverting the offense like Tuel did vs. Cleveland.
  13. Positive: going for it. Negatives: your QB is 2 yards tall and you only need a yard. Spread the formation and sneak it behind Wood and Urbik. Don't run out of the same formation 4 times in a row. No one is fooled by Thomas freakin Welch running a flare route on 4th and goal
  14. Dream big but I've heard through the grapevine Neutz is leaning away from the pro game. He's pretty bright and with the couple of concussions he's had he might decide to leave the game while his brain still has the ability to make him money in the long term
  15. LG, swing guard, RT (Pears is 32), swing tackle, CB2, FS, and a 2013 version if a TE. I like Chandler. He'd be an excellent TE2 and red zone target. But I want a Graham/Gronk/Cameron/Davis/Thomas/Gonzalez split the seam of the D TE that the Bills have never had
  16. These are the words of a man who clearly hasn't seen down of Jaguars football since 2011. MJD is a shell of his former self. The only pick worth receiving with him for Byrd and Spiller is #1 overall and I would bet they aren't dealing it
  17. Without watching this game, ifyou told me that Thad Lewis was responsible for 24 points, 200 yards, 3 TD and 1 TO, I would tell you the Bills won. I missed most of the first half. Admittedly, Lewis and the offense looked a little shook for most of the third quarter. However, this loss is 100% on the defense. With a backup/practice squad/3rd string QB(whatever you want to calm him) starting, this was an unacceptable performance by the defensive unit. 480 yards is never acceptable. 330 yards to Ryan Fitzpatrick Part II Andy Dalton is unacceptable. Long chunks of yards and TD catches to Marvin Jones (who?!?!?) can't happen. Not if you want to win with the backup QB.
  18. How many weeks are we talking in this hypothetical situation? 3-0/3-1? EJ 4-0/4-1? Maybe let Freeman ride it out 5-0/5-1? No chance. You're sitting at 7-3 or 7-4 with victories over some really tough teams at this point; probably in the drivers seat for the wild card
  19. This is my line of thinking as well. He came from a team with an underperforming OL, no slot WR and no TE. ALSO from a vertical passing scheme that is hell on a QB's stats (see: Philip Rivers 2011/12 v. 2013) Here he has a solid OL, 3 or 4 good to decent WR, an average TE, and a rock solid running game. The scheme has deep shots that show off his arm but also low percentage short throws. He could flourish and make himself appealing to the league again
  20. Considering 2 impact players are returning from injury and MAYBE their #3/4 CB (Brooks) that was probably their plan anyway....
  21. WalterFootball is one of the last places I would go to find "inside information"
  22. His plan sucks? LOLWHAT? He took over easily the least talented team in the league. You buils successful teams from the lines out. He drafted what you hope to be a cornerstone OT in Joeckel. Now he has set his sights on riding out the storm with Gabbert, who is hilariously bad. Why would he do this? Because he's got a perfect situation. He's in year 1 of his tenure and Gabbert is a 3rd year pro which buys him that last "maybe he can still reach his potential" season. Caldwell can say he's "evaluating" while letting Gabbert drive the train right to #1 overall and the franchise QB they desperately need. 5 games in and "the plan sucks"....wow
