161.7 passing ypg in the first 7 (they ended up 1st with a 169.9 average over 16) 275.1 passing ypg in the last 9 (this would be dead last by a large margin. TB was 32nd at 260.6, then NYG with 252.4 and NE with 251.2.) -
The math behind how unlikely the drought was.

Longest 5 playoff win droughts: Bengals 27 (1990 Wild Card Round) Lions 26 (1991 Divisional Round) Bills 22 (1995 Wild Card Round) Browns 20* (1994 Wild Card Round, includes the last few years before they moved to Baltimore) Dolphins 17 (2000 Wild Card Round) -

They played 7 games before they traded for him and gave up 138.6 yards per game. If we want to pretend that Bilal Powell carry would go for no yards, that would make the average in the first 7 games 127.2 yards per game. 138.6 would have been the worst in the league by over 4.5 yards if they maintained that pace over 16 games. 127.2 would have been 30th. Just above the Bengals (127.9) and just below the Bills (124.6) They gave up 98.9 yards per game in the 9 games Dareus was on the roster, which would have been 8th in the league over 16 games. Something something sample size. -
Poz is the 3rd LB on that team we should be worried about as fans. I have been joking all week and saying that if a hypothetical defensive play was drawn up where Telvin Smith, Myles Jack and Poz each had to cover 1/3 of the field, the actual responsibilities would end up looking more like a Venn diagram. 45% for Jack, 45% for Smith and a 10% overlap where they just cover for him

Will the Bills be able to play in the Florida Weather

TBD Breaking Update: the defense started to get tired after McCoy got hurt and the offensive production stalled. Poster ganesh is, for some reason, surprised. -

You're aware that the fieldhouse is climate controlled, yes? This isn't Rocky, they aren't training in a meat cooler. -
Denial is a stinky cologne. Peterman literally played the worst half of football since the merger, please explain what could be worse, and in what universe Taylor would perform worse than 5 INTs that gift wrapped 24 points and a missed FG

Texans interview Bills VP of player personnel
JM57 replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We should not be surprised by this at all. Gaine came here from Houston and based on what's been coming out lately, he probably did so just to get out from working under Rick Smith. Probably has a lot of confidence he could return to the organization and do some things better that Smith. -
How do you buy playoff tickets?

Someone isn't aware the Jaguars removed the tarps earlier this week after selling out the first time....And promptly sold those seats out too -
If bills win, do they play Patriots next?

That's not how it works. Playoffs reseed every round. Lowest remaining goes to highest remaining. -
Have you watched Eli play this year? I completely disagree that he gives them a better chance to win now. Yeah, the Giants OL is awful, but the Jags isn't much better and he is a statue. With how that team is presently constructed, it's a fit for Taylor. Like you said, their defense is ahead of the curve of the Bills. I guarantee you that Taylor would have no issue guiding that team to the playoffs. That team is exactly what the Bills wanted to be with him at QB. Elite defense, strong run game, hide the QB as much as necessary.
-
That would be a terrible idea IMO. If they don't have a true franchise QB option, which they won't, since Bortles is not, and their draft position, I really think that a bridge QB like Taylor suits them best. We know what this limitations are. He needs a strong run game and elite defense to win games. Check and check. He needs playmakers around him to succeed best. Check again. Now the Jaguars, due to the way they are built, could really use a QB that limits turnovers and allows them to play a ball control offense. Again, check. If Hackett were smart enough to work in some wrinkles that we saw Taylor thrive in with the Roman/Lynn offense, like more RPO plays, or designed options with Taylor and Fournette, that offense could really thrive, at least as much as a ball control offense can thrive. I really think it is a great match, and hope that's where Taylor ends up if Buffalo decides to let.him go

I won't bother with checking the LAC stats under Lynn this year, because I think that last year is not necessarily representative of what he would have been as an OC if he were an off-season hire. Taking over midseason, he had to keep Roman's scheme and just make changes as he went to better suit his style, but at the end of the day it was still Roman's offense. Now, onto Roman. Let me ask you this. Baltimore brought him in this year to help Mornhinweg tweak their offense to fix their run game which has been awful for years it feels like. Where does Baltimore's passing offense rank this year? 29th. Where did his passing offenses rank in Buffalo and San Francisco? 29th, 23rd, 30th, 30th, 28th and 30th. Looks like I found a common denominator.

Pop quiz: Who dreamed up the play where Mike Tolbert was split out wide and ran a slant that bounced right off his belly? Was it the QB or the OC? Who utilizes Tolbert in the running game in the exact same fashion as McCoy? The QB, or the OC? Who decided on Sunday to run a FB screen in the red zone, the QB, or the OC? O Who refuses to try to create any type of deception in the offense? Who is responsible for the basic formula of QB under center = run, QB in shotgun = pass? Follow that logic and you can guess right 90% of the time. Is that the QB or the OC? The offense seems to face a lot of 3rd and long situations after going run/run on 1st and 2nd down. Is that the QB or the OC? Taylor has his flaws, but Dennison really sucks. He makes Anthony Lynn and Greg Roman look like geniuses. ....no good OC is going to call a FB screen to "get yards" when their primary RB is McCoy.
-
Is the QB calling FB screens in the red zone? Is the QB running Mike Tolbert wide like he's the same back as McCoy? Is the QB splitting Tolbert out wide and having him run slants so the ball can hit him in his belly and bounce away? Is the QB thinking he is smart by getting cute with the play calls in the red zone? This is not a one-sided problem. The QB is flawed, but the OC also is. He's shown, on many occasions this year, why he hasn't called his own plays ever before.

I have a short sh..list, and then don't care about most of the other crews. But Hochuli, Boger, Coleman and Triplette are definitely on the list. Steratore is earning his way there. Other than that, whatever.

Oh god Triplette is a doofus
