  1. Oh phew I was worried ?.
  2. But coach he played so well on Sunday when they literally lined him up 20 yards off the ball and said "don't let anyone behind you." Guys that can do that HAVE to be on the roster! ?
  3. Dialing up the familiar excuse..."he doesn't suck, his supporting cast does!" We should be worried about Brandon Beane and his ability to evaluate offensive talent. Just look at the Panthers.
  4. They are similar but different. Like you said, Taylor wasn't throwing to the open receivers whether that was refusal to throw over the middle or inability to see them due to his height, we don't know. Allen isn't even SEEING them and his height isn't an excuse. Very worrisome.
  5. Aside from the team winning, what was the difference between Allen's performance Sunday and Tyrod Taylor's performance against the Saints last year? Both had putrid overall passing numbers. Failing to read the defense and seeing open receivers. Bailing out of the pocket at the slightest hint of pressure. This team is not in a good place, regardless of record. You cannot consistently win games with a QB passing for under 200 yards. That recipe is your offense bringing a knife to a gun fight.
  6. They brought him up from the PS because two safeties were out. They don't need 5 safeties. One is coming back, so he goes and hopefully returns to the PS. Do I think they need 10 OL? Absolutely not. Do I think the WR suck? Absolutely. But they still don't need 5 safeties.
  7. Still buzzing from Sunday or....?
  8. Everyone keeps saying this but Marlowe really had one job Sunday. Don't get beat deep. Every time I paid attention to the defensive alignment, it was very similar. Cover 1 with Marlowe ~20 yards deep. Poyer up near the line. It was very obvious their defensive game plan to hide Marlowe was literally sticking him up top and telling him not to let anyone behind him. He did fine, but nothing earth shattering
  9. Yeah, I believe that they might cut bait with Conor McDermott if the Derek Anderson report comes true. Sirles being the extra OL yesterday was a good sign for him/bad for McDermott
  10. Not treating this as a true player signing as much as a coaching hire. Allen would probably be well served having a set of veteran eyes down on the sidelines, to be in his ear between drives, showing him little things he is missing on the tablet, etc. If Anderson did well teaching Newton in Carolina and they trust him in that "coaching" role then I'm all for it
  11. Well they have two more backup OL than most teams have, so anyone with a brain would start there. ....Beane will just cut a WR or CB and go with the absolute bare minimum there instead.
  12. Gotta have at least 2 more on the 53 than any other team.?
  13. No that title belongs to the replying member of the above Twitter thread. Close second though
  14. Careful you're going to get the others all worked up with your smart ideas.
  15. Ah yes run and stop the run the old Buffalo football staple while we wonder aloud why the team hasn't been good for 20 years. Comparing Nick Bosa to Bruce Smith is..something else
  16. It should still be a worry. This class looks absolutely stacked at DL, similar to the WR class I mentioned. Whatever flavor of lineman you want, it's there. There's Bosa, Oliver, the Clemson crew, Rashaan Gary, etc. If someone wants to pay you a premium to get to 1 TAKE IT
  17. Take a look at the 2019 free agent class and tell me who is actually worth the money that hasn't been or won't be re-signed by their current teams. Free agency is for one or two spot signings, not filling an entire side of the ball
  18. It would be such a Bills thing to do to take a DL #1 overall in a class full of them just like they did with Watkins in a WR heavy class
  19. Pay attention to the trends of the league. Your best window to win is with a QB on his rookie deal before he starts chewing up a significant portion of the cap.
  20. You do when you have 8-9 holes on offense and a few more on defense. Trade. Down.
  21. He's probably still getting paid from the Cowboys as he got cut in the middle of a long term deal. It wasn't about the money, it was about settling in with a good team.
  22. Bailey has made a TON of money in his career already for a kicker. So much so that he was willing to sit two weeks and turn down offers from multiple teams to wait for the "right offer". Spotrac has him at just under $14 million career earnings before he earns a penny for the Vikings this year.
