  1. Yeah I can't remember or find where I read about it. I think it was Geoff Schwartz or another former OL who mentioned it on Twitter basically saying Penn's body would have been very used to doing the kick slide and whatever other motions as an LT and as a result, also used to compensating for whatever "damage" that would cause as a football player. Suddenly Gruden decided to take him at 34 years old and however many years in the league and flip it over to RT and Penn's body was essentially like "Yeah buddy this isn't how we do things"
  2. Yes and that can be directly tied to his injuries last season. Trying to adjust his body on the fly to doing everything he's done for a long time in the opposite direction... Overcompensation injuries last year.
  3. Please let the OP have his narrative it cannot be challenged ?
  4. Any time you can add a 33 year old 3-4 rush backer that hasn't performed well in 4 seasons to a 4-3 team you just have to jump at it
  5. Everything I've seen says "some snaps at guard" which isn't really anything. Kind of silly to ask a below average center to just start playing guard 5+ years into his NFL career because he's taken some snaps at the position here and there. Still gonna be below average.
  6. Over analysis, plain and simple. When you give scouts multiple years of a guy being hyped as a top pick they'll eventually find something to complain about. There's at least one prospect this happens to every year
  7. Not sure where the Bodine at guard idea comes from, he didn't play there at UNC or with the Bengals
  8. And while we're at it we need to turn water into wine. That's how easy it will be for Metcalf to be the next Calvin Johnson. He's more likely to be the next Lonnie Johnson
  9. Interesting I've always thought he was more of a 3-4 end than a 4-3 guy....
  10. Using the Draft Network machine. Draft board fell funny and I wasn't able to address defensive depth like I wanted but I actually really like this class. 9. TJ Hockenson, TE I love Hockenson, not sure the Bills will go with him especially at 9, but wanted to try a run through getting a TE locked in early. 40. Erik McCoy, IOL I think McCoy is a guy the Bills will really like, even with Morse signing here, as he is being projected to play guard or center in the NFL and having those 35ish starts at center at Texas A&M gives him the positional flexibility they seek. This could be the new LG or RG. 74. Justice Hill, RB Some much needed youth at the position, a productive back with potential if he can get some of the weaker points in his game coached up. 112. Gerald Willis, DT Some character concerns here but a guy who was highly touted out of high school adds a lot of natural ability to the rotation. 131. Dillon Mitchell, WR Shades of Keenan Allen in his game, a little raw but lots of potential in his game if the team has time to coach him up 147. Tyler Roemer, OT Didn't know anything about him, just calling him a potential dates swing tackle for now 158. Isaiah Johnson, CB Former WR with only two years experience at CB at Houston. Loved what I read in his scouting report, he shows tons of natural feel for the position but just needs time and reps, but a potential starter if he continues to develop. 181. Jalen Hurd, WR I went with a them late. Potential to develop as a player. Hurd is a former RB at Tennessee who converted to WR. Understandably raw at route running but has shown ability that needs to be refined. Time as an RB makes him incredibly slippery in space, and with his size (6'4, 220) he could be a matchup nightmare against safeties or linebackers, even early on in a limited role. 225. Bryce Love, RB 2019 will be a redshirt year for Love following his ACL tear in December. The Bills have shown interest and along with Justice Hill, he would bring a much needed youth infusion to the position by 2020. 228. Khalil Hodge, LB Local guy for the last pick because why not
  11. I've seen all of it. It doesn't mean I understand the hype. I've seen people locking him in to start at left tackle. I've seen people thinking the Bills will get "top ten" level play out of him. There are some incredibly high hopes here for a guy who has shown to be a top tier backup and spot starter. It's a HUGE leap from "best backup" to "good starter."
  12. Walter Football though? There's so many better sites for information
  13. And then we're gonna sell them some ocean front property in Montana!
  14. And this is where I think Roberts is a good signing. I cannot say why he hasn't been used much as a WR in the past couple of years, but he's absolutely capable of producing at the position. I used Brandon Tate as an example in my other post since we are familiar with him here and he's also a somewhat accomplished return man... Tate has(had?) 71 career receptions at WR. Roberts had 64 in 2012 with the Cardinals. From 2011 to 2014 he had 4 decent seasons for a complimentary receiving option and then his last few teams haven't used him much there. I'd much rather have a guy like this as the 5th or 6th WR than someone like Tate or Bolden or whoever that offered next to nothing as an offensive player.
  15. Had a really good post typed up and hit the back button on my phone browser and wiped it away so I'm gonna just give a quick and easy summary of what I was saying... We want these guys to be top flight backups on this team. They seem to have shown that's what they are on their previous teams, it's expecting a lot of them to be GOOD starters. Just because they're better than Mills and Ducasse doesn't mean this team should be patting themselves on the back and calling it a day if they're serious about keeping Allen protected
  16. You should worry. His spider chart is.... To be honest, one of the worst I've every seen. Isaac Nauta - MockDraftable
  17. Interesting though that Okafor got $8m a year from KC and I'm assuming the Saints didn't/can't offer that. I would expect Ansah to cost more than that on a short term deal.
  18. 3) he hasn't done it in a few years but Roberts actually was a productive WR at one point in his career unlike say, Brandon Tate, for example. Injuries happen and he is more than capable of stepping in.
  19. Hopefully that's what this is. They do have a bit of a need at DT also since Rankins popped his Achilles in the playoffs so he will likely miss most of the season, if not all
  20. Trying to keep myself in the good graces of the powers that be ?
  21. He does? I think that you're either thinking of the wrong guy or have no idea what you're talking about...
  22. Boo this man BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  23. Not everyone is a people person and I think sometimes fans forget that. For every player that will sign a million autographs and drop everything, there's another who just really doesn't like socializing and would prefer not to be bothered (just like the rest of us.) I get it.
  24. It also wouldn't surprise me to see Gore just pick another number even if Poyer or Hyde offered up 21 or 23 just because he's only here for a year. He seems like that type of guy
  25. Now is not the time to be picky. Every back on the roster is too old. It's time to get the next every down back. You can find a speed guy every year.
