NFL Network Draft Coverage will NOT be in HD

I don't like the fact that all warm weather road games are in Sept/Oct and all the cold weather road games are in Dec/Nov. Usually, the league would throw the Bills a bone and schedule a late season road game in a warm weather site. Not this year. And I think we lose most of our homefield advantage with the Fish playing in a dome in December. How long before we hear the "Rust Belt Bowl" promos on ESPN? Kornheiser's gonna have a field day...

It's a decent site...logos are just thrown on a page with little or no history about them...some contain years the logo was used, some not. Site has potential but needs serious work.

Especially the 1969 Reggie Jackson rookie card...I swear I had enough of them to put one on each spoke. From that same set, was Mickey Mantle's LAST card...I remember I had two of 'em...where I put them, I DON'T remember...

I remember seeing U.L. Washington interviewed before an "NBC Game of the Week" with Garigiola (sp?) and Kubek, and it was during the gas crunch in the late '70s. Joe G asked him what "U.L." stood for. Without missing a beat, Washington answered: "Un-Leaded."

Got 9 right, only because I pretty much lowballed most. After Topps lost exclusive rights, the baseball card market went in the crapper. Jeeziz, there must be dozens of Pedro Martinez rookie cards out there... Seeing the Mickey Klutts rookie card...well, that really brought tears to my eyes!

I can see why this may not work early in the year, i.e. Miami, Oakland, Minnesota etc. sharing stadiums...but why couldn't this work in December?

Remember back around 1980 and it seemed everyone in Rochester had one of those WCMF baseball jerseys, the white body with the colored 3/4 sleeves? I think I had a one with navy sleeves and one with dark green... I think I had hair back then too!

NFL Films taking shots This is truly sad...NFL Films is why I love the NFL...the Pat Summerall/Tom Brookshier highlights show which featured Facenda and the great music, was a "can't miss" show at my house growing up. I met Steve Sabol in 1995...I asked him why NFL Films didn't market the music more aggressively. He turned to his assistant and said "Get him a tape in the mail tomorrow." The tape arrived within days. Thing is, you can get NFL highlights 24/7...NFL Network is missing a great opportunity in not featuring these old highlights shows...linked article sez people (read 18-24 year olds) don't relate to this type of programing. I hope NFL Films can ride the storm out.
