I would think these two guys know Arizona plays in a dome...jeeziz! Sal: That's the rub, I guess. How long can the Bills keep making mistakes and still win? When does it catch up to them? The schedule gets a bit tougher starting this week at Arizona. The Cardinals got their feathers blown off at the Meadowlands by the New York Jets, but that 56-35 score was deceiving. Leo: I agree. The Cardinals are better than that. When Kurt Warner finally remembered that fumbles and interceptions are bad things in football, his offense started to hum and rang up 35 points in the second half. A second consecutive road trip, playing in the heat, facing an embarrassed Arizona club, probably without Terrence McGee and Roscoe Parrish ... this is going to be a tough test. Link to rest of story

Good news...should be ready for San Diego.

From the humble beginnings, a Democrat and Chronicle spinoff, to the New York Times...quite impressive indeed. Back ten years ago, when wifey and me were just recently engaged, our friends threw us a party where we had to each put down on paper our likes, dislikes, favorites, etc. One of the questions was "Favorite Website." Of course, my answer was TBD, and the soon-to-be-better half got it right...one of the few questions where we both matched! TBD remains the favorite in this household to this day. Thanks Scott and all who serve Bills Nation.

Buffalo Bills vs. St. Louis Rams Game Day Preview
Ned Flanders replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Isn't Tampa Bay ('76 expansion) the only NFL team that's yet to play in Orchard Park? -
It was a kickoff return...thought it was a punt. Oh well, 16 years ago, not bad. Link

Buffalo Bills vs. St. Louis Rams Game Day Preview
Ned Flanders replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed...and especially after watching the USC game last night. "...that's why they play the games!" -
I remember a game vs the Falcons in 92, we were up, at least 30 I recall, and Deion runs back a punt to pull Atlanta within 4 touchdowns...dancing and strutting down the sidelines as he got close to the goalline...unbelievable.

The voice of reason, backed by actual statistics or other citations other than emotion, strikes again. I'm in DC also Scrib, and the reference you talk about, refers to HOME games only. So when the Skins are at home at 1:00, and the Bills are in Baltimore, also at 1:00, for example, Skins get exclusive status. Now, the last couple of years, there's been talk down here of making the DC-Baltimore area a single NFL market, like NY. So, if the Skins kick off at 1:00, the Ravens would go at 4:00, etc., etc. The reason being, is that there are many Ravens fans in the Maryland suburbs that are in the DC TV market. In fact, as you noticed last year, Ravans at Bills was shown on local DC ch. 9, while the Skins played at home. There was a waiver for last year (and this year too) that all Ravens road games be shown in DC, whether or not the Skins are at home. Many Ravens season ticket holders were upset they couldn't see their team on the road.

Umm, Yeaa...About Those Missing Rings....
Ned Flanders replied to WellDressed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw the one on the 1969 Vikings last night...as with all NFL Films productions, it was very well done. I remember that team very well, they just ran into a buzzsaw in the Super Bowl. Some observations: -Jim Marshall still thinks about the four Vikings Super Bowl loses every day...wonder how many of our guys do. -Bud Grant has aged very well...says he doesn't dwell on the loses, but you can tell he does. -Joe Kapp was a character in 1969 and remains one today. I'll watch the Bills version...but not sure for how long. -
Well Peter King picks the Rams...
Ned Flanders replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, and I believe a couple of weeks ago we liked King, for some favorable remark he made regarding the Bills. It is quite confusing at times, isn't it? -

Thanks, knew you would be on top of this. Perhaps a Super Bowl win this season may change Sal's mind?

Lori, or others: Any indications from Sal if he's planning a Relentless III any time soon?

HBO..when will we have another great series??
Ned Flanders replied to Tcali's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Spielberg and Hanks are again working on a "Band of Brothers" type WWII mini-series called "The Pacific." It's due out on HBO sometime next year. If it's only half as good as BoB, I'll be excited. -
New "Throwback" Bills Jersey
Ned Flanders replied to EndZoneCrew's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm looking for a Lee Evans premier throwback...not the authentic, but one with the sewn on numbers. Anyone see them anywhere in WNY? -
Yesterday's game took a little sting out that debacle...which still haunts me to this day.

Ned Flanders replied to Phil Hansen Forever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But Bob Matthews picks the Bills, so we like him this week, right? -
NFL franchise values list released
Ned Flanders replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watching that Giant fan say "It's over," was very depressing...because I'm not too far from that guy's position. I'm not a season ticket holder, but my DTV Sunday Ticket is now north of $300, with SuperFan and all...It's really getting out of hand, and sometime soon I fear I'm going to start sounding like that Giant fan. -

Anybody see the latest RealSports on HBO? The first segment on NY Giants' 2009 ticket prices? The PSLs, etc? Is the bubble about to burst? -
Game to be televised in JAX
Ned Flanders replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear ya, but I respectfully disagree. Individual teams are the ones who determine whether a game is sold out, and the whole "72 hour" crap is used as both a guideline and a crutch. It's not a hard "rule" or "law" by any means, as witnessed now in Jax. Last I heard, the finale against NE is the only Buffalo game not deemed 'sold out'...Ralph could declare the game sold out today, ensuring local TV coverage, but still have ducats up on Ticketbastard. So, in this scenario, is the game, by NFL 'standards' sold out? Yes. Same thing in Jax. -
Game to be televised in JAX
Ned Flanders replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Further confirms the sellout "rule" is complete bullstuff. It's up to the individual team whether a game is soldout or not...the whole "72 hours....75 miles rule" is complete fabrication. The Bills could sell 10 tickets to the next game and if Ralph declares the game 'sold out,' it's 'sold out,' and on TV.
