  1. Well, last year we agonized over Denver and Dallas...this year, it's Cleveland. So, if we've cut the games that cost the Bills a playoff spot in half, isn't that "progress?"
  2. Saw this in Matthews' column today: So, basically it's a coin flip right now...
  3. Nice leadoff, Lori. About Trent: "He's going through a Steve Blass period." Classic
  4. Looking over some of those old "pro!" programs is a great ride down memory...I've got them going back to the first game at Rich. Sad that they don't develop a classic program like they used to.
  5. Wasn't there, remember watching the game on TV, and have the DVD somewhere in the house... After Smerlas blocked the potential winning FG, Kelly threw a bomb to Reed, that would have won the game, and the ball went right past his fingertips. I remember Bob Trumpy, who did the color with Don Criqui announcing, yelling "REED!!!" I thought I was going to crap my pants...on second thought I probably did. Seems more than 20 years ago...seems like a lifetime ago.
  6. News like this kind of puts Monday night's debacle in perspective...
  7. Yeah, I saw Lynch get in Quinn's face when he was run out of bounds at the Bills sideline... I don't believe the players are quiting on Dick...read Sully's column today. I don't often agree with him, but he's been spot on the last couple of days.
  8. You can pick apart last night's game all week, but what it came down to was the final drive and the run calls that led to the FG attempt. It was a total team collapse...coaching, play calling, execution...the players on the field, everyone on the Bills' sideline and up in the booth, crapped the bed.
  9. This seems like what all the Tuesday Morning QBs are saying...I don't think it's concussion-related, as Jaws talked about last night. And I don't think it's all the loss of Josh Reed. And did I hear during the broadcast, that the Bills have not attempted a play-action pass ALL season?!?!?
  10. What are these "sacks" you keep talking about...I remember Deacon Jones back in the day, and I've seen other teams perform a "sack," but I can't remember the Bills ever pulling one off...are they legal?
  11. Back in my youth, the Rochester Double Initial murders were a hot topic...and scared the bejeezis out of me!
  12. Sure looks like the longest playoff drought in Bills history will continue... We have the longest such streak in the AFC, right?
  13. CBS and Fox are able to protect a certain number of games against the flex...some "sources" already mention games thought to be protected. Link I think the Indy-SD game stays...the Manning appeal is still strong and the Colts and Chargers seem to be back in the playoff race.
  14. Watching this team the last three weeks would have killed The Mick, much like his fate in Rocky III.
  15. It was over when DJ didn't challenge the Welker non-catch...someone early here compared lifeless Dick to Jeff Fisher, where Fisher would run down the sideline to throw the red flag, Dick drops it at his feet. Compared to the other challenges Dick has called, and lost, this one looked like a gimme. He blew it. The game was over after the Cassell TD.
  16. The Torrence cut has received a lot of discussion down here in DC...almost as much as the Hall signing itself. He was also a special teams standout. Seems he just got caught up in the numbers game. I believe the Bills should definately snap this guy up...hell, if he can be had for the same $500,000 as Hall, TAKE HIM.
  17. Good luck. We're still waiting for VDOT to remove a deer that's been out cold on Little River Turnpike in Annandale...he's been there about a week now.
  18. I'm with you here...I think 9-7 may be good enough this year, with both Wild Cards coming out of the East. Way too much football left however.
  19. Speaking of ugly, what was up with the Skins uniforms last night?
  20. A western New Yorker who moved to North Carolina...who knew?
  21. Nothing's gone right since Lynch's endzone dance last week in Miami. I think it was during the 3rd qtr today, Nance/Simms were talking about turning points in a season...the Lynch "dance" may have been ours...
  22. Pam Ward anyone? Our former LB has the look of "Me Likee!"
  23. What Singletary didn't probably know, is that he was just following 49er precedence... It's happened before at Candlestick
