  1. No, just 4 straight, went to Denver after Buffalo. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LodiMi20.htm
  2. I think he's still the only QB to be on 5 straight Super Bowl rosters, last one with San Diego.
  3. You're not in one of the NC markets listed below? Carolina @ Buffalo 7:00 PM ET Mick Mixon, Mike Rucker WCCB (CW/18 - Charlotte) WTVD (ABC/11 - Raleigh/Durham) WFMY (CBS/2 - Greensboro NC) WSFX (FOX/26 - Wilmington NC) WYFF (NBC/4 - Greenville SC) WWMB (CW/21 - Myrtle Beach) WACH (FOX/57 - Columbia SC) WCSC (CBS/5 - Charleston SC) WVEC (ABC/13 - Norfolk VA) WFXR (FOX/21-27 - Roanoke VA) WJBF (ABC/6 - Augusta GA) Rob Stone, Steve Tasker WKBW (ABC/7 - Buffalo) WROC (CBS/8 - Rochester) WSYR (ABC/9 - Syracuse) WETM (NBC/18 - Elmira) WXXA (FOX/23 - Albany) WJET (ABC/24 - Erie PA) http://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2018&wk=p1
  4. About a dozen years ago, was waiting for my mother to get off the plane here at DCA and Jim Kelly walks off before her. Had my Bills mug with me and said, pointing to the mug, "Hey Jim, big fan!" He said "Cool" and kept walking.
  5. Just got off the phone with DTV. $60 off/month with a 12 month contract. Took ST Max off auto renewal, he had no promotions today but said to call back the weekend the season starts for ST deals, as also recommended by BillnutinHouston. They're also going to upgrade our equipment for no additional charge. I'm happy for now, $60/month brings me under $85/month, and I'll call the weekend of the opener to get a ST promo. Was about a 15 minute call.
  6. Just got an email from Country Inn and Suites in West Seneca that's running a game night special. Have stayed there in the past, very serviceable hotel. https://www.countryinns.com/offers/14551198
  7. At restaurants, I'm a standard 20 percent tipper, 25 if the service is real good and they talk to my kids. What do folks tip for carryout? Must say, I don't tip every time I go to Starbucks or Subway. There's a tip jar at my dry cleaner's...I've never dropped any money in, but do people tend to tip the dry cleaner? My haircut is $18 and I give her $25...I think that's pretty good or are barbers a "cut above" (pun intended) and deserve more? When I was a kid, I had a paper route. Now, our paper is delivered by a guy in his car. We never see him but tip him a few bucks on the monthly bill. When I delivered, Thursday nights were always for collecting. I'd go door to door, handed the customer the little receipt tab and I was happy to get two bit tip. We had a plumber show up on a Sunday recently and he saved the day and we gave him a $40 tip. He was quite astonished and refused the tip at first...we insisted and he was very grateful. This was a plumber from a corporate firm and not a neighbor who was good at tools, but we felt he deserved a decent tip. Bottom line, tipping seems to be more prevalent these days..it's nearly everywhere, and it's sometimes hard to keep up with who deserves what.
  8. That's pretty good. The $55/month off is $15 more than what I'm getting now which would $180/year. $268-180 would equal $88 for ST Max. I can live with that. Any contract? An hour though? Sheesh, they don't make it easy. Thanks for the report! What's that about?
  9. Making mine next week when my contract runs out. $60 off/month sounds enticing, would be $240/year savings off what I'm getting now...and if they take $15/month off ST Max, would leave me paying a little more less than $100 for ST Max. And with no contract, I think I'd take that deal. Yup, that's certainly the impression this year. ST discounts may be a thing of the past.
  10. Vaguely remember this...anyone know who the reporter was Marv was going after?
  11. Thought you Canadians had the best FREE health care on the planet? Why are you even sick at all?
  12. My first thought as well. Bills will run out the lease at SJF then move camp to OBD. They've certainly got the cash to buy out the remaining years at SJF but that won't play well with the Rochester fan base.
  13. Looking to do even more math, with the $50 off/month for 12 months that is a $10 increase in the credits I'm currently receiving ($40/month). With that deal, I would save $120/year. That would certainly be welcome. However, while paying full boat for ST Max at $396, putting the $120/year savings toward that, I'm still paying $276 for ST Max...much more than the $99 I paid last year. Seems like they're really trying to get people to pay full boat for ST, while trying to find discounts elsewhere. Oh, and F the "free" movie channels, they don't appeal to me at all; every time we get a free weekend preview, I'm never tempted to buy, but thankful I don't subscribe to see the garbage they're shoveling.
  14. Take a flyer on him, why not, could be a James Lofton-like signing. I think Lofton was 33 when the Bills signed him. Please don't think I'm comparing LaFell to a HOFer, but 31 at WR is not ancient and he could have some decent years left.
  15. Same here...I was in kindergarten, Catholic school, when they announced it over the loudspeaker. Nuns walking down the hall crying. The weekend, we were all glued to the TV. Some favorite shows of the era: Daniel Boone, Combat, Munsters. Two classics, both with outstanding theme songs.
  16. I was there on a relatively mild New Year's Day. I believe the Bills lost 3 of their last 4 that made them the second seed. If they had home field vs. Cincy the next week, I think this team goes to the Super Bowl.
  17. He was gone after '91. We signed Christie before the '92 season. Remember the great game out in LA during the '91 season? How many FGs/XPs did Norwood miss that game? That pretty much sealed his fate. When Polian was able to sign Christie in '92, he was doing cartwheels down the hall at OBD. A classic Polian pickup, like Kenny Davis and James Loften.
  18. So I called customer retention yesterday. Currently, I get $40 off a month as a standard discount. They could only give me $30 off a month, and $99 off Sunday Ticket Max. I paid $99 TOTAL for ST Max last year. I said "no thanks, not good enough." The rep said to call back closer to when my contract expires, which is August 10th. She said they hate to lose long-term customers such as myself (18 years). So, I'll do the song and dance on the 10th. If I don't get the same discounts, for DTV and ST, it's adios DTV. I've got too many cheaper options, especially since we have Verizon FIOS for internet and phone...they would love to add TV at a discount, we get flyers in the mail every other day. Streaming is an option also, cut the cord all together. I'll surely miss ST, but the price is too outrageous. That's the absolute latest.
  19. This is what came up: "Sorry, your address is not eligible."
