Heard on the radio coming in today that the Skins will soon turn to Groupon to sell tickets...to the home opener I know the Bills have discounted December games in the past, but I can't remember them selling through an outside source. Bills Bars Season opener-Rochester

Tully's on Jefferson Road is a good scene -
Good episode but I thought it was the weakest of the four so far. WAY too much time spent on the pizza eating contest. Also, I wish these were more timely, as this one focused on the Carolina game, which was almost a month ago. Still a great series, but they need to be at least a half-hour long and a bit more timely.

It was certainly a football Taj-Mahal in its day... -
Well, I don't recall being presented with an option...my bad, I guess.

They need to bring this guy(s) back...from 1974, how many remember this mascot gem? Think it last about two seasons, max.

Good post. The Genie 2 has been stable...so far...but if they don't waive the protection plan hike, I'll tell them the thing stinks and come back with the original box. This has been a good and informative thread. I've been a big fan of DTV since I first got it in 2000, once claimed it was the best consumer decision I ever made, but they've really soured on me this year.

I never saw that in any of the media reports yesterday either...I did see where ST Max is not yet available. I suppose it will soon, as well as other markets. This is the year they get all the streaming kinks out of the way, sort of a Beta run, and next season ST Max should be widely available to stream.

PSA: Beware the Fine Print: As part of my re-upping with DTV, I was given a "free upgrade" to the Genie 2 box. Tech came out Monday to install, as described in an earlier post, but found out my protection plan goes from $8.99/month to $20.99/month with the Genie 2. I checked and it's there in the fine print, but of course the fine rep who gave me the "free" upgrade failed to mention that. So, I'll start the merry-go-round again with a call to DTV tomorrow...good gawd, I hate all this.

Why Your Team Sucks 2018 - Bills version is posted!

The comments never disappoint. -
Interesting. That's a first I believe.

I knew they would open this up to streaming eventually...not in my market yet, though. https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/directv-now-adds-nfl-sunday-ticket-in-select-markets/

Did the tour last time Bills were in town in 2010. It's well worth it. Our guide was the former sports photographer for the Green Bay paper who covered the team in the Lombardi years. At the end of the tour, I asked him for a Lombardi story. He said the first day on the job, he shows up at Packers practice and Lombardi yells from across the field, "Who the F%$&* is this guy?!?!?" Said it scared the begeezis out of him. We all got a good laugh. Be careful about going to Green Bay. It will almost make you a Packer fan, it's that great an atmosphere.

This seems to be a recurring issue...seems the reps all have different marching orders on giving promotions and discounts.

Yeah, it's really all over the place. DTV guy was here to do the Genie upgrade from the initial version to Genie II this morning. What I thought would be a simple swap-out took almost three hours. He had some problems getting the 4K channels (only 4) but he stuck around and answered many of my questions on the upgrade, made sure I could connect the Genie II to wifi before he left. I'm sorta happy with my one-year contract deal ($60/month off; free upgrade), but I'm waiting a couple of weeks to call back for a ST promotion. The poster above who got a $100 price is the best I've seen this season...seems like it's a complete crap shoot depending on the service rep you get on the phone. Still think it's the AT&T mobile subscribers who are getting the best deals and hold the most leverage.

I stopped when "The Outlaw Josey Wales" was listed at 28. Blasphemy. It's the best of all time.

I've said this many times, that the reason ST distribution is "limited" by only going through DTV is because of the beer barons. We all know how much beer is in bed with the NFL, well, the bars, beer's big clients, have hounded the beer barons to lobby the NFL AGAINST easy distribution of ST because the bars' Sunday profits will suffer significantly. The beer barons have made this known to the NFL and ST, hence, has "limited" distribution on DTV. The big issue now is streaming and DTV has repeatedly said they will not stream ST; they fear their traditional satellite product will quickly dry up...but the day is coming where streaming will be the norm.
