  1. Cowboys will never be flexed out of a prime-time slot, even if they were 1-12 and playing the Little Sisters of the Poor.
  2. NFL can flex from 1:00 to 4:05 or 4:15 and it looks like teams need 12 days notice. http://www.nfl.com/flexible-schedules If it's for the division, you may be right.
  3. Yes, almost certain to be the early game, 12:30 EST, on NFLN, with Rams-49ers almost a lock for the Saturday night game. One of the final three games will fill the 4:30 Saturday slot. Houston at Tampa Bay looking like the best option right now.
  4. I'll root for the Yankees when they play al qaeda... Fun fact: 9 of the last 10 teams that swept the LCS went on to lose the World Series.
  5. Jeeziz, it's not like Rosen and Fitz are Unitas and Morrall...
  6. Was at GG during Bengals weekend...can certainly give them two thumbs up.
  7. I was there for the 2011 Bills debacle and the action on the screen was going in the opposite direction from how I was watching it live from where I was sitting. Made it very confusing. I heard the stadium tour is really good though...may want to consider if you have the time.
  8. 2019 team starting to remind me of the 1988 squad: stout defense, winning low scoring games early, gunslinger QB, exciting rookie RB (although we haven't seen too much of DS), 4-1 after five, coach now coming into his own...the schedule is certainly favorable...maybe not a 12-4 team, but could be 11-5. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/1988/gamelog/
  9. Those fortunate enough to be in Nashville this weekend, be sure to stop by Martin's BBQ on 4th Ave, South...it's the real deal. Was down there this summer for work and went there every night. https://www.martinsbbqjoint.com/downtown-nashville
  10. The Orioles also let kids nine and under in free all year with a paid adult ticket and still finished near the bottom of MLB attendance. Bottom line: Winning cures all.
  11. Won't happen. First, you would never get the owners to go for a shortened schedule. And why seven? Why not the pre-sixties standard of 154? That said, however, owners would still balk at the idea.
  12. Check Amazon and pay for next day shipping.
  13. From what I understand, he was very philanthropic within the Phoenix community but this does not absolve him of his sins of moving a franchise with a healthy fan base.
  14. There's a discernible difference between being loud and being an obnoxious lout.
  15. I'm in my 60s now (dang!) and have zero tolerance for this crap. Would never go to a Patriots game, and even though this was a Bills brother, it's just as troublesome. Nobody enjoys liquid refreshments before and during the game more than me, but all it takes is one a-hole, whoever they're rooting for, to ruin the entire afternoon. Sorry you and your son had to experience this. I echo the others, make sure you send an email outlining the scenario to the Bills...they need to hear this, especially since "security" was less than accommodating.
  16. This is one of three big games on the schedule, including at Browns and home against Baltimore. Bills, Titans, Browns and Ravens will all be battling for a playoff spot come December and winning these head-to-head games are going to be key going forward. Pull out a win in Nashville, get healthy during the bye and start the playoff run with three games at home. Defense will need to come up big again and there's no reason we can't get some needed turnovers off Mariota.
  17. At the Bengals game last week, talking to some fans around us, it was amazing to me the number of people who weren't around for the SB run. Most were amazed when I told them I was at the first ever game at what was then, Rich Stadium. Moral of the story: I'm freakin' old.
  18. Yeah, that was a great one, but they got blown out the next week in NE and had to knock down a Joe Montana Hail Mary at the end of the SF game to win the division. Lose that game in SF and they're not even getting into the playoffs. I was standing that whole fourth quarter and told my mother that if they lose, I'm throwing myself into the Christmas tree.
  19. Same exact scenario happened with me last month.
  20. How did they go from 12-4 in 1988 to 9-7 in 1989? There wasn't one thing to put a finger on, but they had to squeak out a win in the opener in Miami, looked flat in the Monday Night opener, lost on a last second FG to a bad Atlanta team, Kelly got hurt (but Reich filled in admirably) but as I recall near the end of the season, they got blown out in SF, lost to an average New Orleans team at home in the snow, but blew out the Jets to win a very poor division. The Bickering Bills were born (which I thought was blown way out of proportion) and the Cleveland playoff game was a back and forth battle which I was at along with another 20,000 Bills fans. But that Cleveland game gave birth to the K-Gun, which the Bills employed at the start of 1990.
  21. I recall reading recently that of DTV's 20 million subscribers, only two million subscribe to ST. Thought that was a very low-ball number.
  22. OJ's 2003 yard season was 1973. My top five in no particular order and for obvious reasons: 1990 1988 1993 1973 1989
