  1. If you're too young to remember, ABC did not broadcast this game live. They thought the US was going to be blasted by the Soviets, as was the case just a couple of weeks earlier at MSG. It was shown on tape-delay at 8:00pm EST that night. Americans near the Canadian border, Buffalo included, got to see the game live on CBC. It was also Al Michaels' second ever hockey broadcast. I was actually in a car and heard the score come over the radio.
  2. One thing is obviously clear: just like Wide Right and MCM make their way into a thread, 30, 20 years after the fact, "13 Seconds" will also live forever in TBD infamy.
  3. I think there were more Bills fans at the airport after the KC loss than at the LA parade.
  4. Reminds me of when Jack Kent Cooke, the original owner of the Kings, wanted a hockey team in LA with the second six expansion...he was told there were 500,000 ex-Canadians in the southern California area. After several years of attendance woes, Cooke uttered, "Now I know why they all left Canada...they hate hockey."
  5. Was walking down to my seats when Bell ripped off the 85 yarder. Another thing I recall from that game, is I think they put Jack Kemp's name on the wall at halftime.
  6. Every weekday morning I have bite-size shredded wheat from Trader Joe's. No other shredded wheat will do. MWF-topped with banana slices and strawberries. T, Thur - topped with banana slices and blueberries When I was a kid, in no particular order: Frosted Flakes Cap'n Crunch Honeycombs Apple Jacks Quisp and Quake
  7. Three of the four potential SB winners on the road...I can see the Bills being the opponent of the SB champs' Thursday night opener. Also predicting Bills/Rams go to London. Titans/Pack could definately be 4:25pm starts.
  8. Agree, in this scenario, you're probably left with six seconds, max.
  9. What is it about Arrowhead, opened in 1972, that people aren't crying for a new stadium, ala Rich/Ralph/New Era/Highmark, opened in 1973?
  10. Bryce Paup at the 2:03 mark...good lord!
  11. Saw an interview one time where he was asked "Which was your favortite Full House episode?" Saget replied, "the last one." RIP
  12. Ravens game is in Baltimore and even though I'd like it, I don't think NFL puts Bills on Thanksgiving two years in a row. I'm also thinking the Bills go overseas in 2022, as they are certainly due.
  13. Was great in The Bedford Incident...scary ending.
  14. I check for abnormalities from time to time...biggest surpriase was a pledge pin four years out of college...a real head scratcher.
  15. I don't know if it was the snow, the angle of the early January sun or what; but the blues seemed to really pop on the TeeVee last week. Best look in the NFL.
  16. For some stupid reason, this was my call name on the old D&C Bills (Bills Wire?) site which was morphed into TBD.
  17. Mark Sanchez is the Mark Sanchez of announcers. Late switch, you're getting Bucs (with guess who) at Jets. Check map.
  18. Watched some of it last night...that dropped NE interception just after they scored to make it 26-21 in the 4th could have been fatal. Dodged a big-time bullet there.
  19. AFC Central (I refuse it call it the "North") all have a bunch of head-to-head games coming up, so they'll beat each other up. Steelers loss last night was huge. A Bills loss Sunday isn't preferable but it's not a death nail either. We're still in the hunt and 10 wins should definately get them in.
  20. RIP Wool Hat
  21. That's my problem with it...Saints did it last week when they were losing by 10 points.
