  1. No way the offense doesn't get some TDs in this one. Their secondary is in shambles.
  2. yep. That would be great, but I think Cincy stands a better chance of losing out.
  3. Somebody has to play the spoiler. How cool would it be if the Browns end up being the spoiler in week 17?
  4. Awesome article. And what a life. Funny how she didn't become a Bills fan until she visited Europe and discovered they knew more about the team than she did. That was in the 90s and her husband was a fan from the beginning.
  5. Bills will look to have a balanced attack against the Raiders. Their secondary will probably be tested early. I think the Bills like getting a lead early and forcing their opponent into passing situations. That could actually happen given Oakland's injuries. I'm thinking blowout.
  6. Ahem....sorry. Didn't realize that was your pic. Anyway, the part about not being able to count on the offense to do squat. Just kind of reminded me of Walter from the Jeff Dunham skits. Your pic kinda looks like Walter and his personality too.
  7. Heck, I'd make them give up a 1st or no deal. Then we could take another rookie QB in the draft and can Cutler....lol.
  8. I really liked the blowout thread better. Oakland has lost 13 players to injured reserve this year. They also have 6 additional players ruled out this weekend. Anything less than a blowout would be a huge disappointment. Didn't Woodson play for Pittsburgh like a gazillion years ago? Your post and your avatar really go well together.
  9. Stats are not then end all be all, Weo. Look at the last play Spiller made. People here love to emphasize stats and that's cool if that's your thing. However, plays like that really spark a team. When a team believes, things happen. Maybe you could find some stats on a guy like Rambo coming in and getting 2 interceptions. My guess is that you would struggle to find much positive on the young player, but the thing that stood out was his quote after the game. He said, "we just believed in each other". Things like this don't show up in stats, yet when you watch the game, it is quite evident when a team transforms after a big play. With Spiller, all it takes is one big play to elevate the play of his team. Like his return for a TD earlier this season or the punt return of Marcus Thigpen last week. You can see the excitement after the play, but you can also see the edge in the team's play afterwards. Stats are a cool, but the really exciting thing is seeing a team that Billieves in themselves.
  10. Raiders are in serious trouble. Have you seen their injury report? Yikes!! 42 - 9 Bills Sammy may crack 1000yds with this game. Bills should attack the Raiders secondary. No way the offense doesn't score some TDs on this team.
  11. I agree that you are thinking too much. Marrone is an offensive mind. That doesn't mean that he can't realize that this team has a strong defense and a weak offense. I think his in game decisions are because of that recognition.....not because he is a defensive mind.
  12. Seriously, you should read the article. You may even decide that the win/loss column isn't nearly as important as the community surrounding the organization.
  13. Maybe if someone buys Sammy some new shoes Orton can hit him. Orton has shown some flashes. Maybe he gets back on track against Oakland.
  14. What ever happened to Jimmy Garoppolo?
  15. Found this great summary of the Bills season. Linky USA Today reported this in a kind of obscure section called "For the Win". Enjoy!
  16. I don't think Hackett is the problem. If there is a coach that needs to go, I'd say it's the OL coach.
  17. I have a theory on the OL. I do not pretend to be an expert on this subject and could be very far off the mark so don't beat me up too bad over this. During the draft, the Bills were clearly trying to fix the OL. 3 of them were brought in.....THREE!! The problem I think is Marone. He has been preaching all year to the players to stop making excuses, stay focused on the game and just play. This same philosophy has been applied to the offensive line. We have some big OLmen. Marone, I think is pushing them to be physical.....beat your man and the offense will win it's matchups. The problem is and this was revealed very early against the Chargers. Their defense never allowed the OL to get a bead on them. Instead they ran a bunch of stunts and misdirection to confuse the OL. It worked perfectly and since, every defense we have played is mixing things up on their DLines. The offense has had some success but they certainly have not caught up with what defenses are doing to them. You cannot beat your man if the guy backs up goes around another OLman unless linemen learn to communicate and hand off a block to the guy next to him. I think these big linemen are big enough and strong enough. Not sure if they are smart enough yet. Not sure if they are nimble enough either. Defenses are attacking in different ways. These guys need to figure out the flaws to their game and Marone and his line coach needs to catch up with the rest of the NFL. You can't just tell these guys to beat your man. You also have to find ways to beat stunts and misdirection. I have seen the Bills use more max protect schemes with success but they really need to be better at teaching the OLmen to help each other. I think you may be on to something.
  18. http://m.apnews.com/ap/db_268748/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=caiQjfte Pizza and wings plus now the Lions are tied with GB. Cool gesture.
  19. Franchise sack record gets shattered this game.
  20. Interestingly, the Bills have only given up 2 TD passes in last 6 games. Both against Miami.
  21. You're giving them 13pts? Isn't that the same score the high powered GB offense scored this week?
  22. Houston over Ravens is a tall order. Fitz has a broken leg.
