  1. Author could be right. Depth on the DLine would be helpful.
  2. Security is overrated. Just think NE fans must feel every year arrogantly thinking they will be seeing a contender year in and year out. If the Bills snatch the division title away from them this year, you'll be glad you didn't you didn't have feelings of security. Sports is supposed to be sweeter when the underdog comes out of nowhere and takes down the top dog. Most of us see things about the team they unsure of or are downright skeptical about. But that doesn't stop us from being positive about where things are heading either. The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat and all that jazz. I'm pumped like every off season. Maybe even more than other seasons. I think we might be on to greater things and it feels good. We don't need no stinkin' security. We just need to see our team defy the odds. When it happens, the reward will be all the sweeter.
  3. I like the way you think. EJ will be fine. Cassel is going to be very good competition too. The thing that I'm excited about is having coaches that are going to find a way to get the most out of them. Offense, I think is going to be fun to watch this year.
  4. It's been a long time since we have had both a top notch defensive coach paired with a top notch offensive coach. I am so pumped for this season. Add in all of the weapons..........damn, I'm pumped.
  5. This would make sense. If that is true I don't want any part of him. Anyone that provides death should be avoided.
  6. Did you get a look at our new fullback in that game?
  7. Love the idea, but what if the phone doesn't ring?
  8. I think that would be a flag. Illegal formation.
  9. Shady in the backfield. Harvin and Sammy on the left side of the formation. 6 OLmen on the field in an obvious power run formation. Clay also on the line. With the QB, that's 11 men on the field. Harvin goes in motion like it's going to be a jet sweep. Only the QB doesn't hand it off. The defense is stacking the box and limiting coverage on the receivers as one man follows Harvin. Shady stays in to block for the QB. QB has three routes to choose from, looks at Sammy and pumps once. Pass goes to deep down the seam to Clay. Safety is bowled over when he is caught thinking the pass was going to Sammy and has his hips turned the wrong way to make a play. Pass rushers never had a chance on the QB with 6 OLmen on the field plus Shady.
  10. Beginning to think the Bills pick someone nobody is expecting all throughout the draft. Would be surprised if they picked up a pass rusher while everyone is thinking offense.
  11. The Bills are not going to pick a QB that may not start. The objective with their first pick is to get someone so good that they can start regardless of position. Whaley's comments about staying true to your board have me thinking BPA regardless of position.
  12. Tyrod? Wait til you see how he throws. Your going to be sorely disappointed.
  13. That QB looked pretty good too. If there was a draft to find some diamonds in the rough, this is it. That Parker seemed to have all of the skills you look for in a TE. Blocks, good hands and runs good after the catch.
  14. That's why I like this Marpet kid. He can play any position on the line. There is risk with him because he is from a D-III program, but man, have you seem how he has done at the combine? He is at the top in nearly every catagory. 225lbs, 30 reps. Fast 40 and shuttle. Plus he is dominating in the positional drills. High risk/reward but I think worth the risk. Also, since he can play any position including center, he is going to be highly sought after in the draft. Might be the perfect pick in the second even if we do have to hear all of the complaining over D-III stuff. Fred was D-III, doesn't mean he can't play though.
  15. Highest red zone success rate. Big back. Hmm.....
  16. Or, maybe neither one of them will be rated that high in the draft.
  17. Interesting idea, really. I don't see where this really helps EJ's case much, though. Now if Rex can get him to actually use his legs more, maybe. I also think EJ can be pretty good at passing with some time in the pocket and some designed rollouts.
  18. Sorry, not feeling it for either Mariota or Winston. They both should be far from the top pick. Can we say BUST?
  19. It's a good article and not a public slogan. Just how they interact within the organization together.
  20. Could play guard in the mean time. That's what Wood did.
  21. EJ does not have a problem reading defenses. I hear that a lot around here. When you watch his games from last year, you can see that he was waiting for his guy to be wide open and throwing too late. That's what you do when you have a coach always harping on you about playing safe. Frankly, EJ just needs to let it rip. Let this new coaching staff work with him. The kid has accuracy and he does know how to read a defense. His biggest issue is just settling down and playing ball...something he was never really given a chance to do. He hasn't even played 3/4 of a full season consecutively. The only thing we don't know is how good he can really be. And the only way to know that is to let him play. I do think though, that Cassel is going to push him. That's a good thing.
