  1. This is the kind of kid that Richie doesn't even want to attempt trying to bully because he'd end up on his ass. Nice pick. An OLman with a mean streak. Just what we needed.
  2. I thought we were looking for a starter.
  3. Not happening, so I refuse to participate.
  4. I think we trade down from 50 and pick up that team's 1st next year.
  5. That's why the Bills shock all of us and trade TT instead.
  6. That trade could be worth a 1st round pick next year. Now that would be awesome.
  7. If Whaley really is looking to trade down, it will be to obtain a pick one round higher next year. So basically the Bills will move down to the spot where the trading team is, plus gain an additional pick next year. Dealer Doug has his work cut out.
  8. Winfield was sick. The best tackler on the team and he was CB.
  9. When we are sniffing the playoffs in week 16, the Cowboys game could be flexed to Sunday nite.
  10. They are sent to season ticket holders. If you are, just download them.
  11. He was actually a starter in Gaileys offense for a while and did a really good job. Once Glen arrived, he never really got a chance to get back on the field.
  12. That may not be far from the truth. Just looking at Marone's face and his personality in interviews and the rumors of internal arguments, I wouldn't enjoy playing for him either. I remember him being very hands on with the OL in the preseason as well. Seems to me he rubbed some guys the wrong way.
  13. I'm surprised more people are not talking about the impact of having Felton and Clay on the team. These guys can block and that will surely make the OL look better. These guys can be used like an additional OLman and also as a lead blocker. Put them in motion and you can throw a number of different wrinkles in there. I am getting the feeling that the OL no longer is being viewed as a major weakness. Incognito is an upgrade and Williams has had a full year to rehab. Then of the 3 rookies from last year, the coaching staff may very well think one of them will improve well enough to start. Looking at the roster as it stands right now, we have 11 OLmen, not counting our longsnapper or FB/HB/TE. That is a lot of big men now. Add in a different line coach and OC and things could get real interesting real fast. The overall consensus seems to be that the OL is the undisputed biggest weakness for this team. Just saying, with the weapons we have added during the off season, that may not be how the new coaches are viewing it.
  14. This is the year we burn a gaping hole through the Patsy's armor. We sweep 'em. 13 - 3.
  15. That's the way I see it. EJ needs to take control of his own destiny. He's no longer the wide eyed rookie. There comes a time when a young man realizes what being a leader is all about. Often, that realization isn't anything like what you expect it to be. He has had time on and off the field to figure things out. I expect we'll see a huge improvement from him this year.
  16. That's been done before. I'd like to see Dareus do that....
  17. I really like a spread formation too. When you have blockers like Felton(his locker is right next to Shady's) and Clay, you can still run with power. Just imagine spreading out the defense like Gailey used to do but now you have a FB and a move TE that can crash into the defensive line and open holes. The beauty of the run game is that formations and movement can be used to distract a defense. Clay can chip his guy and slip out on QB keepers as well. Roman had a top 10 offense in 4 consecutive years as an OC in SF. He can design some kick ass run plays. If Keap was more consistent throwing, that team might have been as unstoppable as NE.
  18. Nice! http://www.endzonescore.com/buffalo-bills-offense-being-remade-under-greg-roman/10397
  19. Actually, Spikes also contributed big on running downs too. Still, I think when teammates have time to work together and trust the man next to you, you become better. Defending the run is all about gap control. When guys are playing their position the way that they are supposed to(trusting the man next to you to do their job as well), the team performs better. Two years ago, I think they had the talent but just didn't play well as a unit. Last year there was an improvement. Perhaps the scheme had a lot to do with it, but it could be just gelling as a team. Amen, brother.
  20. I suppose that's one way to get DLmen to move.
  21. I think LB play had a lot to do with it. The prior year the run D seemed to get burned for some big runs, but I always had the feeling that the D was struggling to gel as a unit. May be a little of both. Another year and these guys know each other pretty well. Regardless of scheme, I think they will improve even more. The secondary looked as good as I have seen last year. I think the on field communication is better. The band is still together and I think that is going to show even more this year.
  22. Roman tried to open up the passing game and Keap didn't live up to expectations.
