McCoy asks Bills fans to be respectful of Kaepernick
Rockinon replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not so fast. I grew up having to earn respect. Respect isn't something you get for free. Something many young people today have no appreciation for. Treating someone with human decency is not the same as treating someone with respect. -
Kaepernick to start on Sunday
Rockinon replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry but the easy way is exactly what he is doing now. He is doing more to divide people than bring them together. Not exactly the desired effect. My point is that the flag represents all not just a select few. I get the outrage. I do. What I will never condone is the idea that it is OK to live here and enjoy the freedoms we have without also standing up for the flag. If he has ever in his life pledged allegiance to the flag, I am flat out calling him damn liar. And as for the the question at the end, I cannot speak for them but I will say this. A knucklehead deserves to be treated like a knucklehead. If he gets sacked 8 times, I won't sympathize for him unless of course he does get hurt. I would be pretty disappointed with our team especially if it is intentional. -
Kaepernick to start on Sunday

This is ridiculous. The flag literally is a symbol for the oppressed. It is a symbol of freedom for all, even for those who cannot defend themselves. I think it would do young people like Keap a great deal of good to actually learn some American history and the history of the flag in particular. While he may be making a stand for a cause is notable it is also absolutely clear that what he is doing is disrespecting the flag and the anthem, no matter what he says he is doing. People feel very passionate about honoring the flag. Not standing for it is clearly more than just starting a trend. -

Does it mean anything to you that the very reason we stand for the flag and the anthem is to honor those troops and also to honor the ones who have died defending it? -

He is not standing for the flag. I am sorry you do not get that. He can say it is not about the flag all he wants but his actions do more to anger those who have lost loved ones defending this country than help with a cause. I have no problem with the cause. I have a problem with the method. This is our country and honoring those who made it possible for us to have the freedom we enjoy is not something we should take lightly. Keap has the freedom to do what he wants, but this is not a good look. It is anti-american. Period. -

As a veteran and a strong supporter of the flag, I hope he does play and the defense doesn't hold anything back. I don't want him injured but I do want him to understand what a foolish thing it is to disrespect the flag. Knuckleheads like this need to be treated like knuckleheads. BTW, I truly am as heartbroken over racial injustice as anyone, but this is not how I would "make a stand". This is a total cop out and only really just makes the divide between black and white even wider. It's just stirring things up and making things worse. You want to make a stand, don't do it by shi**ing on the American flag. Start a rally, raise money for the families effected by racism, speak up in your church, talk about it every time you get in front of a microphone or camera. There are lots of ways. This stunt is not how you bring people together and solve a problem. Keap is young. Hopefully this is just something he learns from. I really don't think he thought this through. It is my hope that his intentions were truly just about the injustice and not about our flag, country and home. Sorry guys for the rant. Was getting a bit annoyed by the lack of patriotism on display. -
Ok, I thought they were going to talk about a changing trend and instead started talking about Brady. That was puke.

3-2 but Tyrod has had 4 bad games this season
Rockinon replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yet Shady didn't actually score. Taylor tossed 2 great TD passes. 3 if you count the one that the WR couldn't stay in bounds. And the roll out, waiting for the defense to get close, then flipping the ball to the RB at the last second for a TD run. These are not pedestrian QB plays. It ain't all about the pass with this team. -

I wonder what Henderson can do healthy. Something he has not been for his entire NFL career. -

Week 6: 49ers' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced

I am looking for total domination against a reeling SF team. I want this game to be so one sided that SF fires Chip Kelly before they play another game. -
Hey! We aren't looking too far ahead are we?

Guess I'm spoiled. Used to seeing it pinned. My apologies 26, I should have known you wouldn't let me down. -
Where is the Game preparation thread for SF?

Rockinon replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm hardly throwing up a bunch of stats. He's getting TDs. He's not turning the ball over and more importantly, he's getting the wins. I'm sorry it's not by leading the league in completions, yds. Seems to me you are the one complaining about stats. Taylor is doing what he needs to to get the wins. How he gets there shouldn't matter. You can blame him, but only to a certain degree. He is playing without 2 of his top 4 WRs. Clay is picking up some of the slack by being the leading receiver in this last game. He is making teams pay for being overly aggressive with the pass rush and using his legs. Personally, it seems you forget that this is a running team. And if the run is successful, you don't abandon it to go after the passing records. Taylor has missed on a few passes that should have been strikes, yes. I don't see any QB completing every pass. He has some work to do, but he is winning games with his smarts and with his arm. You can only work with what you have on the field that day. I'm pretty sure Taylor will make some plays that even you can't take away from him. Don't know if you have noticed but the redzone offense is looking pretty good. It's not all bad. -
5-2 When The Pats Come To Town On 10/30

Rockinon replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Threw 2 TD passes and no interceptions. Not exactly putrid. Run game is working. Passes will too. I think you are just being a bit impatient. Taylor put up some decent numbers last year and keep in mind he also had some dominant play by Sammy Watkins. Give him some time. We have been going up against some great defenses. Let's see what happens the next couple of weeks. Some teams will not be that good at pressuring the QB. The season is not a sprint, man. -
Whaley redeemed, 1 problem left for Bills to solve
Rockinon replied to re enlightener's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Injuries and all, I'll still take Sammy over Odell. Hope he comes back and tears up the league. -
Where do you put Lawson when he comes back.
Rockinon replied to Davealan74's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He had 3 sacks yesterday. Taking him to 7 for the season. He has also been damn good with tackles. Shaq can be eased in slowly without worry. Nice problem to have, but who gets cut? Dareus theoretically will improve our interior DL. That to me is what could push this defense over the top. Right now Buffalo is in second place in turnover differential. Near the top in both interceptions and fumble recovery. They are also near the top in sacks. Yet the D is only ranked near the middle of the pack. Lets hope our reinforcements really put some pressure on our opponents. Could get real interesting. Offensively, I am loving the run game. The feast or famine traits has me a bit more worried. I'm thinking the O will get better as the season progresses, so long as we don't lose guys to injury. Two thumbs up for LorAx though. He's been doing a great job. -
Can Cincy or Pittsburgh beat the Pats before they take us on? Could get interesting. When can Shaq start? Week 7? Dareus coming back. Yep, could get real interesting.

Bills Awarded WR Justin Hunter from Waivers

When the Bills picked up Salas, he came right in and contributed within a week. I expect to see a couple of shots going his way.
