  1. I must be confusing him with someone else, haha. The Bills picked up someone in the draft a couple of years ago with ridiculous numbers sacking the QB. Thought it was Harrison.
  2. I remember his first season. He was not a 1T coming out of college but the coach needed someone to sub for Star. Harrison was the guy who stood out the most as a viable replacement when Star needed to rest. You are right that coming out of college he most definitely was not a 1T, but he has proven to be pretty damn good at the position. Now that he's healthy, he may very well prove to be better than Star and take the starting position. I found it really odd that the coach wanted Harrison to play the 1T to begin with. In college he had some sick numbers getting after the passer. The more I think about it though, watching us draft two DEs back to back in this years draft, drafting Ed Oliver and having something like 10 DEs on this team, it is becoming clear that the coach values pass rushers over run stuffers. I'm beginning to think that this team is looking for speed on the DLine rather than size/power. More of a NASCAR type defense where the front four are all getting after the passer. It's clear now that Harrison is valued not just to take on two blockers, but because he is one more person on that line that can drop a QB for a loss. It makes it difficult for an OL to choose who to double block. Star is useful simply by being big and powerful, eating double the blockers. Harrison is useful because he can also eat blockers and he can also shoot the gap and sack the QB.
  3. Wonder how many of those caught passes last year were of Diggs freelancing and bailing Allen out. Would wager that many of them weren't "by the book".
  4. I want to talk about OTAs, not vaccines.☹️
  5. There is always a chance that the front office might trade away someone in order to pick up someone that could improve the team. It's not entirely out of the realm of possibilities. Won't necessarily be a DT for a DT, though.
  6. No way. No chance would I make that trade. Coaches either. I still want to see how this plays out.
  7. This just goes from one play to the next, cutting out the commentary from game announcers. But man there are a hell of a lot of plays in this. Loved it! Some real magic trick plays and some pretty ugly ones too. Truly amazing how many big plays there were last year.
  8. I think the bigger concern for Kansas City is depth on that OL. A couple of injuries could lead to a train wreck for them.
  9. This is Wades 3rd year on the team. He's had lots of time to learn the position and I do believe this is the year the coaches give him a legitimate shot to make the roster. I think his first 2yrs here the coaches simply wanted time to mold him into a RB. Big difference between rugby and football. But it will be interesting to see if he makes it. The kid certainly has big play ability and this team could use that. Would be an incredible story too.
  10. Jerry Rice at one point had a world class hurdler opposite him on the 49ers named Renaldo Nehemiah. He had something like 750yds in three seasons and 4 TDs. That didn't really pan out either.
  11. Good post. The run game is as much a team effort as passing. Last year the pass game took off like a rocket because there was a major effort to make it so. I really believe the Bills will solve the rushing issues by simply practicing more. Of course, adding to the depth on the OL will help too. People who are down on Singletary really don't WTF they are talking about. The kid is good. Real good.
  12. And by the time we made it to the playoffs all our our receivers looked like they needed crutches to hop around on.
  13. I know many people wanted flashier skill position players. We all ready have one of the highest scoring offenses in the league and adding another skill position isn't really going to create a big jump. There is only one ball. OLmen and DLmen are on the field contributing on every down. I like this draft, because there are no reaches to fill some perceived need. The team is stronger and looking back at the way this draft was run, I think there is some potential for some of these guys to be big contributors. I also think that the positions drafted are highly valued league wide and we may be able to score some draft picks in trade.
  14. The great thing about having so many pass rushers is that you can rotate guys in and out and there is going to be someone who can get there quick no matter who is the starting line. I do think that the coaches have been rethinking what the DL should look like. Haven't figured out what they are thinking but it is clear they want the QB to get smacked around. I think training camp is going to be real interesting. Buffalo has a bunch of young DEs and they are good. Going to be real hard to keep them off the field.
  15. Some of the games Feliciano did play were at C. That line never had a chance to get into a run blocking groove all season. All of the shuffling was a problem. Hopefully, our starters can settle into their positions and get used to playing beside the same guy throughout the season.
  16. The Bill's with a pass rush could be very dangerous, even to Cleveland. I'm sitting back and thinking Beane is not playing around. If the OL can be better at run blocking, the offense is going to incredibly dominant. That tackle we just picked up is one strong boy(tap into that, we might be on to something). This is a sneaky good draft for us, so far.
  17. The East is so far behind they still can't catch us. I think having a great QB does that for us.
  18. Hopefully, Raiders and KC beat up on each other. Hopefully, that entire division gets stronger and KC gets stuck in the muck.
  19. When the NY Giants defeated NE in the Superbowl, they ran what they called a NASCAR defense. Basically, they put 4 DEs on the line and got after Brady that way. Wondering if McD has something similar in mind.
  20. I'm seeing a pattern with Beane. He just kept adding players to the OL until it was fixed. The OL took a bit of a step back with injuries this year, but the passing game still launched into the stratosphere. He's doing the same thing with the DL. The great thing about the way he is doing it is that most of them are not being paid big money. The contracts for Star, Mitch and Dion are fairly hefty but overall, he's keeping the money spent under control. I think the DL will be markedly improved this year. I think sacks, tackles for a loss, will increase significantly. We needed youth on the DL and I think they are going to let it rip.
  21. Apparently, he is much faster than the time he ran coming out of college too. I know that isn't that important when you are running between the tackles, but it sure does make a difference when you bust out past them. Singletary has some god given ability. Now, he has a top notch training program that is teaching him things he never knew before. Really looking forward to seeing how he does and whether the coach has let him out of the dog house yet...lol.
  22. For all the smart asses with quick takes, I highly recommend actually reading the article that was posted. It was very inspirational. And the trainer is adamant that Singletary is going to be much faster. Hit his holes quicker and tear it up this year. This was a very good read and provides very good insight into Singltary's training program as well as his mindset.
  23. Was watching some of Etienne's highlights. He really has a flair for making defenders miss. And the way Clemson's QB handed off, he always looked like he was going to keep the ball himself. I could see some serious misdirection with Josh doing the same and to keep the D honest run it himself occasionally. But to trade up for him? That sounds expensive for a RB.
