  1. The 2 guys left for O/D linemen don't measure up this early. CJ Spiller, if this is all I have to choose from. Where are the QBs?
  2. I think that we take the best nose tackle available, regardless of opinions about 3-4/4-3 defenses. We have a pretty solid NT in Kyle Williams. He can handle his job there better than people think. He was all ready taking up a lot of double teams last year because he couldn't be stopped one on one. In a 3-4 will he get tired? Yes, but that does not mean that we have to draft a 3-4 nose tackle. Another Kyle Williams would be awesome. They could spell each other and on every down they could also be a pass rush threat. Think about it. If we get a Big nose tackle and he plays on running plays and Kyle on passing, how quickly do you think the offenses will pick up on that. No way should we go after a huge 3-4 nose. We can play the 3-4 just fine with Kyle, but it would be wise to get another guy just like him in there. Besides, LT is a more pressing need.
  3. Kyle is to valuable to us. The idea is to improve the team not get rid of our best players. I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to trade one our QBs and get a better one.
  4. I'd rather trade one of our quarterbacks.
  5. I was getting that impression too.
  6. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/03/17/t...ell-at-pro-day/ Interesting.
  7. And neither has any other 2010 QB in the draft. Bad argument.
  8. Wow, he left and then agreed to terms later in the day. Just hasn't signed yet.
  9. The report said it "looked like he left without signing" and maybe he did and the got the deal done?
  10. Link According to the Baltimore Sun, Dwan has been having a tough time in free agency because teams are taking issue with his neck injury. They think he may re-sign with Baltimore after leaving Buffalo without a contract.
  11. Cool. A big nasty nose tackle and the D will look great!
  12. He's going to have to go on TV and tell everyone that he is not shopping Schobel as well. I keep running across people salivating over the notion that we might get an extra pick for trading him. Even when he himself said that he will either come back and play in Buffalo or retire, people just seem to think that means we can do whatever we want, like trade him.
  13. If I was coaching this team, I would not be ready to name a starting QB either. If any coach in the league was here they wouldn't either. What's the big deal.
  14. After all the years that Schobel has been on this team it is clear that he is a no nonsense personality. To think that his statements are posturing is just plain wrong. He doesn't speak often and he definitely doesn't like talking to the media. When he does, he says what he means and that is that. If he says he will play here or retire, you can bet your a** that is just what will happen. He will not be traded and that's a fact.
  15. Oh no. The sky is falling! Help, help, the sky is falling! You guys really need to sit back and wait to see what happens. No news is not necessarily a bad thing. This is a franchise that is clearly not going to be rushed into making a bad decision. Let them do their job.
  16. No, we don't.
  17. I'd rather see Tebow than Clausen. Or even the Raven's backup QB.
  18. I think you guys don't really understand what is going on here. Switching to the 3-4 not only means that our DEs from last year become OLBs, it also means that last years DTs become DEs. This means both Stroud and Williams will be DEs. And if you guys think Stroud can rush from the outside, wait till you see what Williams can do. The guy has repeatedly been described as a wrecking ball on the offensive line. As for a guy as big as Kennedy, he would be a Nose Tackle for sure. The advantages that both Stroud andKyle Williams will have is power. Both have speed too but what you will see is one extremely powerful bull rush. Any offensive tackle in the league is going to have their hands full with these guys.
  19. Tebow won't be there in the second.
  20. Hey, no big deal. Don't think he forces his faith on anyone. I've also heard comments about him charging for autographs and pocketing the money which is assumption made out of ignorance.
  21. Umm, I think he won the Heisman. Smith won the 2006 Heisman Memorial Trophy on December 9, 2006.[12] He beat out sophomore RB Darren McFadden (2nd) from Arkansas and senior QB Brady Quinn (3rd), from Notre Dame. In winning the 2006 Heisman Trophy, Smith took 86.7% of the first place votes, which is a record. His tally of 2,540 votes was the third largest behind that of the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner, Reggie Bush of the University of Southern California (2,541 votes) and 1968 Heisman winner O.J. Simpson who also played for USC (2,853 votes). His margin of victory (1,662 votes) was also the second largest in the history of the award, eclipsed only by O.J. Simpson who won by 1,750 votes. Troy Smith joined Les Horvath (1944), Vic Janowicz (1950), Howard "Hopalong" Cassady (1955), Archie Griffin (1974 and 1975) and Eddie George (1995) in the elite Buckeye fraternity. Not that this translates to the NFL, but you have to admit, this pretty damn impressive. The guy never really got his chance in the NFL because of an injury and because the Raven's decided to stick with their current QB even after Smith got healthy again.
  22. Umm, I think he won the Heisman.
