  1. What did you have for lunch?
  2. This article here says he is impressing early. LINKY
  3. This^^^^ I keep thinking the Bills want to trade down, gain 2 extra picks. Then they can trade back up just ahead of the Jets in 2nd round and get their QB.
  4. I think the Jets actually are interested. Having Nassib would also give them someone who is knowledgeable of Marrone/Hackett offense. The funny thing is it is not the Bills who are spooked, it's the Jets that are spooked by the Bills.
  5. When the smoke clears, we find out the Bill's never really wanted to trade down at all. That's just to prevent the Jets from using their picks to jump ahead of Buffalo. They take the QB they want, but it ain't Manuel........it's Barkley.
  6. Placate me!!! Please, placate me.
  7. Who needs perspective anyway. The problem with perspective is that there is always another one.
  8. Maybe this will light a fire under Shep's arse.
  9. I'd love to see Kyle Williams and Marcel Dareus open a big hole for Dansby to slip in and get a sack right up the middle of the opposing offense.
  10. Oh, he'll take a pay cut just so he can play against Miami twice a year. I like it. He can rush the passer from ILB too. Dansby racked up 25.5 sacks and 10 interceptions between 2004-2010 when he was with the Arizona Cardinals. He's older now but he still has some gas in the tank.
  11. I kind of think there is a degree of optimism and a degree of pessimism in each of us. On the subject of the Buffalo Bills, I tend to be more of an optimist simply because I have been a fan for so long that I just can't see wasting my energy by being pessimistic. I want to feel good about them. As a young man, and an athlete, I always had a strong sense that simply believing in yourself and having people around you who also believe, can move mountains. It's an attitude for me to be more positive and more of an optimist. My wife and I sometimes disagree because she doesn't like to get her hopes up only to be disappointed in the end. She was never much of a sports fan. All of us have different ways of looking at things. My wife the pessimist, myself the optimist, we don't always agree but we have learned that we can at least accept each other for who we are. I don't always agree with all of you pessimists, especially the ones who like to do so in the name of so called realism. In my experience the things that are most real are the ones that you work hard at to make it so. It's the things you believe in first and then make it happen that count. When you put in the effort and something great happens, now that is real. If you put in the effort and something great didn't happen, at least you tried. But if you are to busy arguing to try, you are getting in the way. I guess as a fan, I see my job as supporting my team. I believe they feed of of us. What we give them to eat matters.
  12. Every player that is signed by the Jets will be a bust.
  13. I agree with the OP. It's because the QB class is so weak that the Bills will pull the trigger at #8. If they wait, the ones they like will all ready be gone by round 2. If any here think the Jets are not jockeying for a QB now that they have 2 1st rounders, you're nuts. They need a QB worse than us and may even try to trade up 1 or 2 spots ahead of Buffalo to get him. OK, maybe they won't trade up, but they do now pose a problem with the extra picks.
  14. Jets just threw a monkey wrench into this plan. They now have 3 picks between our #8 and #41. And they are high on Nassib. What?
  15. I think Manuel moved up but not that high. Pretty certain that Geno will be gone by #8. That leaves Nassib and Barkley. My theory is the Bills will take a QB with their first pick because it is the most important position on the team and because the pickings are so slim this year(It's also such a vital need on this team). They may trade down(kind of a gutsy move because I think they risk missing out on the QB they want). In any case, it's still QB with their first pick. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck........it's probably a duck. Who will it be...........???? Just speculation, but can't imagine any other position doing more to help this team than QB... so Nassib or Barkley.
  16. I just don't get it. The Bills did all of their homework on this year's QBs. If they don't like the value at #8, then they trade down to get him. I just don't see a scenario where they trade down and still pass on a QB. Waiting until the 2nd or 3rd round for a QB poses a big risk. Any other position just doesn't seem to make sense. The only scenario I can fathom them not getting a QB in round 1 is if they don't like the value at 8 and they also don't have a willing trade partner to move down. If that is the case, it could be any of a number of different positions depending on the Bills draft board. They won't risk missing out IMHO though. I like the Kolb pick, but I do not see the Bills just handing him the keys without a real battle. I think the Bills are determined to get one of the top QBs in this draft and not a 3rd to 6th rated one, especially when the draft class is all ready considered less appealing. Waiting until round 2 or later seems too big of a risk to me.
  17. Agreed. I want more picks. Get our QB and an extra pick. I like this mock except, I think QB should be the Bills first pick.........Barkley, Nassib or EJM
  18. With all of the Safety visits, I would not be surprised if the Bills are not high on Vaccaro themselves. Joe Buscaglia has an interesting article on the subject.
  19. I watched that whole interview and actually thought Kolb sounded like an honest grounded individual. The statement itself did not sound like someone blowing wind out of their arse at all. He said that is why he was here and that is actually music to my ears. It will be interesting to see what he is able to do, but he definitely sounds like he is driven and that is a good thing. See the presser for yourself. This one on on with Chris Brown was pretty good too. They talk about his rib injury against the Bills too.
  20. I knew that would get a rise out of someone.
  21. It sure is. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/57257/kevin-kolbs-super-bowl-talk-is-laughable
  22. He's wearing his old college #4. Was curious about his college stats and ran across He initially was going to play for Oklahoma coming out of high school and ended up rescinding that commitment when his high school coach got a job coaching for Houston. Just looking at the video, I was pretty surprised by the running plays and role outs. Kolb has some wheels. Here are his college stats. Passing Year School Conf Class Pos Cmp Att Pct Yds Y/A AY/A TD Int Rate Career Houston 964 1565 61.6 12964 8.3 8.5 85 31 145.1 2003* Houston CUSA FR QB 220 360 61.1 3131 8.7 9.3 25 6 153.8 2004 Houston CUSA SO QB 198 353 56.1 2766 7.8 7.7 11 6 128.8 2005* Houston CUSA JR QB 254 420 60.5 3258 7.8 7.1 19 15 133.4 2006* Houston CUSA SR QB 292 432 67.6 3809 8.8 9.8 30 4 162.7 His completion percentages look pretty good and his Y/A are good too. These are his college numbers so take them with a grain of salt. He really doesn't have much to go on for numbers in the NFL so I'm kind of interested in these. I like the signing. He could be pretty good if he's given some time to throw. We are going to find out how good our offensive line really is with him behind center. The thing that I like is that he has a pretty good background in west coast principals. He may actually flourish in Buffalo.
  23. The OP may be on to something. The Bills have had 4 safeties in for visits. FOUR! They are obviously looking to add more. As to where they plan to add more in this draft, that is the question. Also as the OP suggests, Pettine places a pretty high value on the position. Many believe other positions are much greater needs based on what we all saw last year. However the defense is going to be much different, scheme wise. I think a lot of people will be surprised by how the Bills draft this year.
