  1. I thought there was somewhere in the neighborhood of 20M.
  2. I thought this PFT article was pretty interesting.....especially given how much money the Bills will carry over to next year. The Bills are going to have money to spend and a lot of rookies that didn't get big contracts do to the rookie wage scale, will be seeking a payday in free agency. I sure many teams will tag players though. Any thoughts?
  3. Take that mask off...I wanna see if there's a Jets fan under there.
  4. Last time we played the Ravens, Kyle Williams was in the backfield all day. I think our D could pose some problems for them. What I'd like to see more than anything though is some execution on the part of the offense. Sustain some drives and get into the endzone. We do that and this game is suddenly winnable.
  5. I am actually predicting a step forward by the Bills offense. In my opinion the offense's execution has been pretty subpar through 3 games. I think the rookie QB figures some things out and progresses against a Ravens defense that I think is over rated. Either CJ or Fred will break a long one, Scott Chandler gets 3 big gainers, and the receivers get in a groove. The ball is spread around and the offense suddenly doesn't look so predictable. For the first time this year we see some sustained drives that put the pressure on Baltimore. Plus, the 12th man plays a part in this one. Bills 31 Ravens 24 Hey it could happen!
  6. Here is another reason the middle of the field is not being targeted much. I think there are a lot of facets to this team that are a work in progress. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/bills-notebook-chandler-manuel-forming-a-connection-20130926?two-bills-drive
  7. I live about an hour away from where that picture was taken, north up Rt 11.
  8. Bingo! Once was enough for me too.
  9. I don't see a good team here. Bills win easily.
  10. I don't know. I kind of think this high speed offense the Bills are using is designed to wear defenses down. Just imagine an air sucking, fast pace for three quarters and then in comes a fullback and a power run game that just utterly demoralizes a defense. I remember Pittsburgh just pounding the rock with the Bus not so long ago with great deal of success. It's not a completely dead trade. New England has been running a very fast offense too. We all know that their attack is very much Tom Brady slinging the ball but few people put much stock in their running attack, which is a big mistake. They can run the ball and I think it's success has a lot to do with the fast pace they run. The fullback? I think he can still be useful.
  11. I have seen Hackett's offense struggle but it has been for the most part just poor execution. The Bills are leading the entire league in how fast they are moving by leaving the most time still on the clock when the ball is snapped. It takes precision, getting a handle on penalties and an ability to execute consistently. I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Hackett just yet. I think the guys on the field are able to handle this offense but it will just take some time. We have seen a couple of good drives. The game winning drive against the Panthers comes to mind. There is a reason why Marone was pushing to get as many plays in as possible during training camp. I think we need to let this thing play out. Those guys might start clicking and when that happens, one hell of a lot of points will show up on the scoreboard.
  12. I don't think it's going to be close. I do think the Bills will pull ahead in this one and the Jets will be chasing to catch up.
  13. Good. Stand them back up so we can knock 'em down again
  14. I have been unhappy since the rule change. Kickoffs used to be one of the single most exciting plays of the game. Buffalo has had some great return men and still do. Moving the ball up so every kicker in the league can force a touchback is just plain horrible for this game.
  15. I'm sorry but the throwing on the 2 yard line is ridiculous.
  16. That guy is faking so he slow down our clicking offense.
  17. Defense is making Cam look decidedly mediocre.
  18. I want to see a dominant defense forcing Cam into a lot of mistakes. I want to see the offense take a few steps forward, better execution on 3rd down, CJ getting into a groove, fewer penalties and some success with shots down field. Go Bills!!! Go 12th man!!! Go Fred!!! GO! GO! GO!
  19. That's what I was thinking too. It seemed to me Fredex picked a spot and hit it hard while CJ was dancing around as the defense closed in on him. Sometimes he was running into 3 or more defenders because he was too indecisive.
  20. Wow. Tough crowd. What makes you guys think this is not an important week? I guess I should have posted this after the Bill open up a can of whoop ass on Carolina. Are there no Billievers out there?
  21. Just looking ahead at the schedule and we may be in position to make a move. This is our Bye Week and all 3 of the other teams in our division could be looking at a loss. Dolphins vs Panthers Jets vs Ravens Patriots vs Broncos The following 5 weeks we have the: Falcons Bucs Jaguars Dolphins Patriots By this time both Byrd and Gilmore should be healthy and I'm thinking that final 5 game stretch could mean a run at the playoffs.
  22. The offense as a whole was off. There were just too many 3 and outs. Execution was not there but for a lot of reasons. Penalties killed drives. CJ could not find a seam. Turnovers lead to 14 easy points for the Patriots. EJ threw some floaters. Receivers let some get away. Coach is too conservative when it's 4th and short(I am not yet in the camp that we should have tried to eat up more clock at the end of the game. Execution will fix the the clock management problem by put us in a more comfortable lead before attempting to run out the clock). A lot of things that are very fixable. The defense was playing with their hearts on their sleeve and believe the offense was too, but there were some boneheaded mistakes in this game. If this offense really starts clicking, and we get Byrd and Gilmore back, this is going to be one hell of a team. Overall, I came away from this game feeling like our team was more dominant, but the mistakes need to be addressed and fixed. I was proud of my team but I think they still have some work to do. This isn't a sprint. It's a marathon. Not giving them a pass, but I'm not going to call this the same old Bills...not by a long shot.
