  1. you guys live in a big government hell hole. it is hard to even know what is legal these days in the u.s. they make up and enforce laws at random. i'd be paranoid if i ran a website.
  2. i also fail to see how a qb is an immediate 2nd round need. i've been watching this game for a long time. some qbs have it, some don't. fitz has it. reading defenses is probably well over half the battle in the nfl. fitz does that as well any qb we've had since flutie. flutie had far less tools than fitz. he is not jim kelly, but he is a legit qb. we need line backers and help on the lines. qb can wait.
  3. for the sake of accuracy, this quote is off: They gave journeymen backups (Todd Collins, Alex Van Pelt, Kelly Holcomb) shots. They gave a Canadian League hero and breakfast-cereal entrepreneur (Doug Flutie) a try. They traded a first-round pick to acquire a promising backup (Rob Johnson). They traded a first-round pick to acquire a proven star (Drew Bledsoe). They used a pick in the first round (J.P. Losman) and third round (Trent Edwards) on college hotshots. Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/peter_king/12/10/brett-favre-ryan-fitzpatrick/index.html#ixzz17lKd2x12 Todd Collins, although soon to be a journeyman backup, was acquired as a college hotshot in the 2nd round.
  4. never! pro football weekly does ok in their final mock, but until then it is throwing darts. my least favorite TBD time of the year is post-season pre-draft.
  5. don't think they were prepared for the noise and they certainly had no answer for d-line filled with pro bowlers. mckelvin might have the talent to be a 'on the island' cb, but he isn't one right now. the linebackers are woeful as a group, the d-line is average. no news there. gailey can't stop the stupid turnovers though.
  6. i stopped following the sabres after the tom barrasso trade. really.
  7. every time i see it, i am in disbelief anew. the stakes weren't the same, and stevie's job was easier, but it is aking to the wide right feeling.
  8. yup. that is some good stuff. well done.
  9. maybe he would factor into a compensatory pick or some such. i really don't know unless they plan on signing him and want him to soak up the defense. not sure who the bills are set to lose this year in free agency. probably nobody that would factor into a third or fourth round comp pick though. the pickup seems like it was a roll of the dice that came up bad, but without more information it is hard to say for sure. according to kffl we have stroud, mccargo, mcintyre, poz, and florence coming up in free agency. merriman adds to that. though i thought mcintyre signed an extension. i reckon we keep poz and maybe florence. so we lose a few, sign a few. probably not a comp pick deal then. back to the rolling the dice theory.
  10. Important for people to remember! That is Ralph's money and he has quite a bit of it. Mostly from the aforementioned people.
  11. let me add to the chorus: Anyone who doesn't appreciate a win like the one we had today should not be a Bills fan. You don't just win overnight. You build off of this year. You learn to win. You get your head out of your arse and understand that Fitz can lead a winning team. The guy gets better and better. Anyone who wants a rookie quarterback to come in here and lead us to another losing while he may or may not develop is not Bills fan. You don't need to be a history major to know that there is no sure thing in the draft. You also should be able to recognize that teams that go 1-15 are losers and develop a losing culture. yes, the bloody Dolphins turned it around for a year after going 1-15. So what? I'll tell you what, I'll take this team we have over the dolphins any day because this team has cuts, some legit playmakers on offense, and is on the upswing. Next week, instead of watching the Bills, go browse NFL mock drafts and have a good wank. Yes!
  12. is this sarcastic? it doesn't always come through. if not, go watch gran torino and pass out from the vapors.
  13. no doubt. that was the was a huge block. you knew it was on when smerlas did his thing. polian brought dogs out the next year! i remember the news showed on security guy at this game waving everyone down. beginning of a hell of a great time for bills fans. anyone who went through the post chuck knox era knows that this team we have now is far from the worst. still, when we make it back, it might feel just as sweet.
  14. i'd like to know where whitner was supposed to be on that play. he came flying over after the catch was made. he has to see that matchup and find calvin johnson. but yes, it is really hard to figure out why poz was twenty yards away from the line of scrimmage with johnson.
  15. this site usually has the games available for download after a couple days http://tenyardtracker.com/search.php it occasionally gets whacked (probably by the nfl), but just about everyone i know who lives abroad and digs football uses it.
  16. http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s13e11-whale-whores go to 2:45 for the best part
  17. it was hard to believe that we called a timeout and then had poz on johnson. the defense continues to baffle me, but they only gave up twelve, so I'll give it a pass this week.
  18. right on. the guy can coach. he has made some mistakes this year (which he acknowledged), but if fitz and the receivers tightened it up a bit today, then it wouldn't have been close.
  19. went down to the 7-11 to get a victory beer at five in the a.m. Taiwan rocks and so do the Bills (for one day anyway!)
  20. great interview. he wasn't better than reed, but he was right there. mother-effing music city miracle. honestly didn't think that would be the last bills playoff game i'd see for a decade and counting.
  21. right. the guy was playing great and had a freak injury. he took all the hits anyone else did and was fine.
