  1. Definitely reminiscent, though some of these throws were even more inane than tyrod's. I think Allen sees these guys. He goes through his reads. Will probably take some sacks that he shouldn't, but ideally he will get faster as he gains experience. I like that he is good at buying time, he can run, and can throw with a guy hanging on him. The last QB I was excited about was Drew Bledsoe. His first eight games were the last time we had a really dangerous attack in my opinion. Allen has everything. Just needs to not get killed and gain experience.

  3. Pullano's was a real Buffalo experience. The food is all right, but it's the people who give up hope and slag the team after every incomplete pass who really make the Bills game day experience authentic. Also the young, sort of mean looking waitresses who resent every beer they must fetch because every beer represents time that they should be spending as a star on a reality show. There was an older waitress who was awesome. It was just like being back home. I watched three games there last year during instructional league. I think we won the first two, remember the raiders game, can't recall the other, then we got stomped by the jets. I should add that I brought an 18 year old Taiwanese kid that I signed with me to give him a taste of football and all the Buffalo fans were cool as could be with him. Kept giving him different kinds of wings to try. He didn't have any idea of what was going on in the game, but loved the environment.
  4. Very true. If the bills had left Buffalo, I doubt I would have watched another NFL game. As it is I still stay up until 4 or 5 a.m. every monday to watch games.
  5. Perhaps Astro is trolling his former site a bit? If so, job well done! If not, no harm no foul.
  6. I am waiting for Dunkirk Don to weigh in. That guy was plugged in.
  7. Good lord, Newton is a fine qb. Just think, we could have skipped the EJ/Orton/Etc... years if he had fallen to three. At least we got Dareus. That was fun for a year.
  8. Ach. If there was something the game didn't need it was a new penalty based on an official's split second judgment. Plays happen too fast for there to be any consistency in officiating. Call spearing when there is spearing.
  9. The Minnesota Twins analytics department had Nishioka as a can't miss prospect. I scouted him and wondered what the !@#$ they were thinking. Analytics are dangerous when used by people without a scouting background. They can be very useful, obviously.
  10. Orton looked like Joe Montana after EJ. He eventually got gun-shy and checked everything down, but there were a few weeks when the Bills had a real qb who saw the field and went through his reads. Then came Tyrod.....
  11. I like him but I could without the headlines like "seven takeaways" , "five things you need to know", "ten players on the bubble", etc...
  12. Trust the Process with a photo of Farrakhan in a Bills Jersey underneath.
  13. it really is a poor man's fangraphs. baseball much easier to analyze due to the lack of the variables you mentioned.
  14. only children and fat girls like the red Sox. pathetic team with pathetic supporters
  15. loss against I think the falcons where both Stevie Johnson and Chandler fumbled late in the game when we were driving. straw that broke the camel's back.
  16. yes, the representatives of the people (in theory) should make the people pony up money for the bloody pegulas.
  17. 82-87. almost like my years at the seminary. I joke. I remember thinking koffler was good. I was nine.
