  1. That's great to hear! I include my birth range to give some context on why that's my favorite opener - didn't get to experience the '80 Dolphins streak breaker, Kelly's run in '89, etc. I started seriously watching the team right as the drought began. I've been waiting for a team like this 2021 version for my entire Bills-watching life!
  2. Not for me, but I can see how you can have that point of view.
  3. I was born in the early '90s, so my favorite would have to be the 31-0 victory over the Pats in 2003. The signing of Lawyer Milloy a week or so prior just added to the anticipation.
  4. For what it's worth, I'll continue to begin my Sunday football mornings the way I have for years: taking a massive dump at about 10:30 while reading the Sunday Buffalo News football section.
  5. I think I remember that Flutie pass - I think it was in the first series of the opening game against the Colts in '99. I was 9 years old, but I remember that play pretty vividly.
  6. Also haven't been to a game in a few, but Crazy Train I seem to remember being played.
  7. I don't think so. Granted, I wasn't listening very closely, but no, I don't recall hearing it.
  8. I can't imagine they won't be a part of the celebration when we do win it.
  9. Top five fan bases: Buffalo, Green Bay, Cleveland, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh. Has been that way for decades and it remains the same.
  10. Just signed up, too - thanks!
  11. I agree with this. Now, just so no one jumps down my throat, I'll just say that I am not an expert. But, at the outset, knowing what we do, which is likely pretty limited, it doesn't appear to make sense.
  12. Whatever keeps the team in WNY, I am on board with.
  13. Really, really good post. Personally, I'm quite fine with my tax dollars going towards the construction of a new stadium. Plenty of my tax dollars go towards things that personally I have no future interest in (schools, for one), and never will, yet I help to pay for those things.
  14. *tongue in cheek Can't pass that one up. Okay, now I'm done!
  15. My last post in this thread's discussion: Perhaps I'm just out of touch, but the idea of Mafia-controlled businesses typically isn't great fodder for humor. I find it even less funny when (prior to your editing) baseless criminal allegations of Mafia labor involvement are asserted against folks I've known my entire life. I'm done. There's no need to respond to me. But, from other threads, it seems like you have a compulsion to have the last word in a discussion, so go ahead and have at it.
  16. Yes, I'm very aware of the difference - but, as I know you're aware, I responded to your post before you edited it after I called it out. Don't forget to edit your other post where it says "Mafia controlled businesses." And you only corrected it because I called you out on how wrong it is. You also know it wasn't a joke or sarcasm. But I don't need to tell you that.
  17. The FBI is investigating Mafia involvement in local labor unions? You have anything to back that up? Because if you re-read, that is the only part of your initial post that I addressed. I have no comment on anything else you posted.
  18. "And they have their hands in everything.. unions.. labor etc" Want to take a guess at who posted this earlier in this thread? And, just to be clear, it wasn't posted as a joke. Again, I keep telling you there's nothing you can tell me....yet, you keep trying.
  19. You weren't being sarcastic or joking. You were asserting something and gave the impression that you had information relating to it, which you don't.
  20. You asserted that the Buffalo mob is involved with labor and local unions. Your link states nothing in support of that. Once again, no story. And, once again, there's nothing you're able to tell me I'm not already aware of. Sending me links of your Google sources does nothing.
  21. What's the story? There's zero involvement from the family you cited in your initial post. There's no story. And no, nothing says differently, at all.
  22. Actually, it's not a debate, at all. Not even in the slightest. They have zero influence or involvement with Local 210, or any other labor union. Both my dad and grandfather worked their entire careers with Local 210, and I've been extremely close to that family my entire life. There's zero debate. And don't name drop. There's nothing you can tell me that I'm not already aware of.
  23. I've been great friends with the family you're referencing for several years - they have no influence or membership in Local 210 any longer, and haven't for a long time.
