In an ideal scenario, yes, you'd have five good linemen blocking for a screen play. However, as things happen (like the subject of this thread), you work within the confines of what you have available. Running more screens and quick passes helps to compensate for a line that can't hold pass protection for a typical longer-developing pass play.

Get that screen pass game tuned up.

Even if it's interpreted that way, it still doesn't make sense. The author's line of reasoning breaks down to: "well, you're now spending this money on Penn Station, which gets a ton of use, so it's time to spend a significant amount of money on a stadium, which gets relatively little use."

The what, is that it's a stupid comparison. Invest in Buffalo, yes, I'm all for it. My post had nothing to do with that. Don't compare a football stadium to Penn Station, which gets 600,000 people through it a week - that's what my post was about. Dumb.

Last I checked, Penn Station is used a wee bit more than a few hours on 8-12 days per year. Dumb comparison.

It's a bit tighter when it comes to the scope of discovery in federal court as opposed to state court (state court generally can be a free for all). Statutory limits on interrogatories, no fishing expeditions for documents, etc. If I'm defending, I always try to find any justification to make a removal to federal court if it's filed in state. Just less shenanigans and stricter judges/judges' clerks.

That's what I read from the post as well. It's a slippery slope. I'm a lawyer, and I've defended companies who've been alleged to have acted in bad faith (when clearly they had not), but judges generally are reticent to grant a dispositive motion to remove claims unless it's overwhelmingly clear. In federal court, it's even tougher. I've defended clients in both arenas. The question comes down to: what exactly is bad faith? You need the discovery process (exchange of written documents, depositions) to bear that out.

This. I've represented clients before in some of these. They will have no impact whatsoever on the process.
