Terrance Pennington, Fowler, Gandy, Villarial played a big part.
Peters was fine.

Seems tome that every time we get there somebody stuffs up.
False starts
Holding penalties
Missed blocks.
No push on short yardage
Dropped balls
QB mistakes
It's not just Losman....sure he has cost some stalled drives in the redzone but most were after stupid penalties or similar. This entire offence needs to start anew. Fairchild has to be gone after this season & should probably be sent packing now.
LOL, look at that, 5 of the 6 are caused by the offensive line.
Yes, even the QB mistakes. If Losman didn't get pressured so early, those mistakes would be a lot less frequent.

Offensive line getting no push.
Not opening holes.

JP is not the problem.
The offensive line is. It's so obvious.
If we don't get an offensive lineman in the first round of the Draft this year...

Clausen is the heir apparent as far as I know. He is supposed to be a once-in-a-decade QB talent (although that is disputed). We recruited two QBs last year that were in the top 20 range and I assume they thought they would be fighting for the job.
Now, I assume that one (or both) of them will transfer because Jimmy Clausen is not the kind of guy to take a red shirt.
Demetrius Jones would suit me fine.

Get Justin Gage in free agency.

First, you can't say history doesn't agree with me and then cite one example. History does agree with me. Disruptive, big-ego athletes don't have a lot of championship rings...ESPECIALLY in a team dominated sport like football. The only person you can bring up is TO and he hasn't ever won anything!!!
The example you mention is a weak one. The Eagles were a Super Bowl caliber team without T.O. They were one game away for three years and swept the NFC playoffs without him the year he was on the team. You are correct, he played a hell of a game and he wasn't the reason they lost. But they did. And then what happened the next year? He destroyed the team.
So without TO: 3 NFC championships
With TO: 1 NFC Championship + ruined season
I fail to see how he left them in a better condition than when he arrived.
If I'm not mistaken, wasn't TO injured during the playoffs as well?

It is a divisional game, though.
And Tennessee has been playing every team tough the past month.

If a bet seems too good, it probably is.

No one will know for sure until we get closer to free agency. BUT ... we are anywhere between 12 mill and 14 mill under the cap right now. We will also be unloading a ton of cap space that Eric Moulds, Sam Adams, Lawyer Milloy, and other players. That with the fact that the salary cap will be raised by about 7 million or so, we should be around 25 - 30 million under the cap.
Edit:
NM, realized we'd just be getting that money back.

Steinbach, IMO, is just as good as Hutchinson.
The success of the Cincinnati's offense speaks for itself.
Their line is regularly ranked #1 or #2, and Eric is a huge part of that.
Plus, even if you think he's a tad below Hutch, there's still a team (or two) that will overpay for him.
I just don't think we'll go that route.

In response, the mayor of Pittsburgh trashed Buffalo.
Something to the effect of, "They can have that, we are still the city of trees, intelligent children, and bridges. We'd like to invite them to lunch, so they can eat and look at our Super Bowl trophies."
I'll get the direct quote later.

Did they show the ref in front of a nice church, holding his flag ever so gently, with a sad expression on his face?
Seems to be the Herald's way of reporting stories.

Redzone Stats

Yeah, a few. Anthony Thomas did a fantastic job of blocking today. I don't have complaints about the WR's blocking, except for a few occasions.
Not sure how Gandy played today..but I do know those red zone stats don't put ANY of them in a positive category.
