  1. Just got home from Topps Market in Depew. Bruce was there for an autograph signing. Bruce arrived in an Escalade stretch limo a little past 11 am. Most people including myself had already been waiting in line since 10:30. Im glad becuase they were turning people away at 11am. He finally sign by football around noon. He looked like he could still play!

I was there, as well...was the guy in the Stroud jersey just inside the door.

I got in line at about 9AM, and Bruce signed my magazine at about 11:20.

  2. Since when is staggering bloody and dazed qualify as a "chance to win?"

Seriously, how does anyone see Oakland having a prayer? People on this very board were ready to write off the Bills season because our LT was holding out...one freakin' player! The Raiders are a complete cluster-f**k from the ownership on down, that have to travel 3,000+ miles to the game, who have a coach is a dead man walking, and an utter rookie at QB, and people want to talk like they could win????

Gotta spout the old, tired phrase here: Any given Sunday.

  3. Maybe I've got my Bills goggles on, but I see the Bills beating the Hawks quite soundly. I really always think the Bills will win though. As pointed out by another post the Seahawks play in the worst division in football. With all the injuries and suspensions they are worse at the start of this year then they were last year. If you don't see us beating a team missing all these players, finishing 10-6 against soft opponents, in our house, then do you see us beating anyone. It's go time. If the Bills play to their level and lose to a short-handed, overrated team like this then they are much further from being a playoff contender then I realized. Now go kick some ass!

    Hope you're right!

  4. That's right...Labor Day weekend is one of the worst TV weekends of the year...not many want to spend the last weekend of the summer cooped indoors, so the NFL vowed several years ago not to start the season Labor Day weekend...which also leads to the Super Bowl being played in February.

No it doesn't, the Super Bowl is played in February because of the NFL cancelling its games the weekend after September 11th, and playing them after the original schedule was completed.
