  1. Yup From Wikipedia. "Following the team's 7–9 finish the previous season, their first losing record since 2000, the Patriots spent a record $163 million in guaranteed money to sign new free agent acquisitions. 11 free agents were added to the roster on March 19, with the largest contracts awarded to linebacker Matthew Judon, tight ends Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith, cornerback Jalen Mills, and wide receiver Nelson Agholor. In the 2021 NFL draft, New England selected quarterback Mac Jones 15th overall, marking the first time the Patriots drafted a first-round quarterback since Drew Bledsoe in 1993" They made the playoffs, got embarrassed and haven't recovered since. Tell me who is buying the groceries and doing the cooking and I'll tell you if I'm worried Same thing that happened with the Bears this year. They got a loaded roster, a shiny new QB, a bunch of big name players and a lame duck coach. Until Mayo shows himself to be up for the job, NE is irrelevant
  2. The Patriots problem right now is coaching. Mayo just flat out isn't ready for the spotlight. Be real, are we really concerned about the genius Alex Van Pelt running a high powered offense? Drake Maye has some talent, but I don't expect NE to be a hot bed for talent to come there
  3. You can still play to win. God forbid something happens to Josh in the playoffs, it would be good to have Trubisky have some live reps before the post season.
  4. Neither is good. Just get through the game
  5. Rivera wouldn't be the worst hire, but a pretty uninspiring one. It would be like when the Bears hired John Fox. Yeah he's a good coach and is steady, but what exactly are you building? Rivera would have made sense this year. Needed a leader who could manage lots of different personalities in a win now year
  6. Yeah I like Nix, but I think Denver overachieved this year Which is exactly why I don't want that game. The Bills dont always win those games
  7. Anybody but the bengals
  8. Josh threw an INT on the first play I think. Then we smoked them. That was fun at least
  9. He played that last drive horribly. They were in range for a 57 yards FG I think and threw the ball 3 straight times, long passes and not high percentage throws. If he completes two 4 yard passes there, they are likely able to at least tie it. He’s talented, but his game awareness is poor right now. You would think after the Detroit game, that would be a point of emphasis. I’m not sure if that’s coaching or Caleb. Either way, it’s concerning
  10. Just that hes a whiny B word Happy to help extend the misery
  11. Nobody is patting him on the back. Frankly, I don’t care how he reacted. He can do whatever he wants or feels the need to do. If I ever get to the top .01 of my profession, I don’t give a damn what anyone on a different teams message board thinks Flame away
  12. Again, seriously? You think he lost the respect of his teammates or something? This is the most non issue of all the non issues
  13. Have you watched NE? Seriously asking. Maye is decent but that team is horrible. If there is a "get right game" for the Bills defense, its on Sunday Jets scare me more than Pats* right now
  14. Maybe they just cut the middleman and go straight to signing Achillies himself
  15. Or let them go to bed earlier. Like most things in life, its all about how you frame it
  16. Yup. To prevent that actual scenario. Last time I can remember this happening is when the Broncos were moving on from Orton and the Bears needed a QB but the Chiefs claimed him off waivers But its a moot point. The dolphins are not cutting Hill this season
  17. Jets and reality don't really go together
  18. Looking forward to them winning the offseason again
  19. Not all season tho. He had multiple great games this year including a 500 yard 4TD day in October. I stand by the fact it was a poor use of resources. If they had any intention of getting a 1st round QB (and 6 went in the first 12 picks) they should have signed a lesser FA to hold the seat until the new guy was ready
  20. I think they got cute and tried to do what the Packers do with Rodgers and Love. If Penix works out, its all good. If he doesnt and they choose a bust at 8 instead of Bowers or Oduze for their very shiny new QB.... Morris will be looking for a new job very soon Atlanta couldn't decide if they wanted to compete this year or build for the future. Its why they came down to BB and Morris at HC and then signed Cousins and drafted Penix. Its why you saw the owner and GM having a very intense convo after the Penix pick was announced. I like Penix, I think he could be Tua and maybe even a better version. Atlanta has a great roster, but if this doesnt work, it was an extremely poor use of resources on a team that could have won an otherwise, pretty mediocre at best division
