Not kidding, I like Hollins a lot. I thought he would break out with when ATL replaced Ridder with Heniecke, but he played equally as bad as Ridder.
Atlanta has the talent to challenge for the NFC title. With Cousins in the fold, they are an easy bet to win the south

Is it bad to have two players who can play in the slot?
No, just depends on how you want the offense to function. Once Brady took over, there was a much more concerted effort to run the ball. With guys like Kincaid and Knox, who can also catch passes, having those guys on the field gives you more options and the ability to "hide" whats coming.
If we start having Renfrow, Shakir and Diggs in packages, its more likely a pass, which give the defense a slight advantage. I'm not saying Renfrow couldn't be useful, I've always liked him, but it may not line up with with Brady wants to do

If the Bills pick eleven free safeties like that thing predicts, this board is going to be absolute bedlam.
I hope they do it for the lols

Never understood how the NFL could blackball Ray Rice, but a team would draft this guy and hand him millions. Him, Watson, and Tyreek Hill should all be left in the same John boat out in the middle of the Atlantic.
Ray Rice was coming off a very bad season. His blackball was far more talent related than anything.

6 years of NFL stats and game film, and GMs are still willing to pay Saquon big money because of his draft position.
Barkley is extremely good. If he goes to Eagles he might win the rushing title

I'd like a guy like him on the PS, but if he starting a significant number of games, I'm worried

starting to wonder which AFC North team will falter.
Am I the only one surprised that Cincy isn't trying to trade Jake Browning into a hot QB market? I think they could get some decent draft capital for him
A good backup is worth far more than a 4th round pick

As I said in another thread, the only team in the entire NFL that made sense for Wilson from a potential starters perspective was the Steelers. Between the defense and run game, they don't need the QB to carry the team, they just need them not to totally suck and they are a playoff team. If the QB can be solid, they could challenge to win their division. If the QB can be pretty good, they could be a threat in the AFC.
But, I wasn't sold that the Steelers would be interested from a locker room fit stand point. But at a million dollars, thats the bargain of a lifetime even for a backup QB so it makes sense as they really are free rolling on this because if he sucks they have nothing vested and can bench or even cut him. And for Wilson, gives him a chance to redeem his image on a one year prove it deal and try and secure his spot in Pitt long term or somewhere else next offseason.
I think the locker room issue is pretty overblown. Wilson is a weird dude but so is Rodgers. Both guys have won Super Bowls and a lot of games in the NFL. Obviously, Wilson hasn't played as well lately, but the guys around him just want someone that will make them better. Wilson is a big improvement from Pickett, Trubisky and Rudolph, so I think it wont be a big deal
57 minutes ago, BuffaloRebound said:I understand that but Pittsburgh has zero skin in the game. What happens if a QB they didn’t think would be there lasts until their pick? Or let’s say Pickett looks decent in training camp. Or Pittsburgh starts 0-2 with Wilson starting. Feels like Wilson is trying too hard to show people he still wants to play. Even $5m from Pittsburgh shows some commitment towards Wilson.
But there is no need to do that. Paying Wilson more only helps Denver. The steelers are a good organization and Wilson will be the starter.

The Kenny Pickett pick reminded me of when we took EJ. Horrible QB class but they felt compelled to take one.

He was good last year
He wasn’t horrible, but I wouldn’t say he was good. Ironically his best game last year was probably against the Bills.

That does not equal zero percent…I admit it’s unlikely, but it ain’t zero percent, at least until they trade Fields.
Yet somehow, you pulled 20% out of your reasoning

0% chance they keep Fields

Good move for the Steelers. Wilson just has to be not horrible and they are a playoff team. For 1.2 mil, that’s a good bet

Good for him. Solid player that was just getting to much for his role here. Glad to see him getting another opportunity

Over Morse, Poyer and White? White has not been available for years, Poyer was showing his age. Morse is a hit but something that can be absorbed. I totally disagree, this is retooling and will not impact overall results expectation very much.
Agreed. Emotionally, the moves hurt as those are all guys I like. But it shows me the team is going to be moving forward and getting younger. The last few years have shown that we need some new blood at certain positions. They held on for one more year, but it was time to move on from these guys

I get the move. It’s a sad day tho. Poyer, White and Hyde were conerstones for the turnaround here and some of the best in the league at their positions for a time. That’s not an easy thing to achieve and we had the joy of watching them.
Best of luck guys
